Making a PINK Chemise a la Reine !
This has been a long time in the making. Well, actually the dress only took like a week to make. But I've been editing this for literal months. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Once you get out of the habit of editing, it takes a million time longer!
But now this is done! And hopefully that bodes well for future videos with this format.
Also - as I said in this video, I actually have another fantasy-ish 18th century gown in progress. It is a very eleborate Robe a la Francaise made from a green brocade with heaps of trimming. It will definitely be a two or three parter, the first of which I'd like to have up before the end of the month.
Thanks for the support and hopefully I'll have more to share soon!

Love, love, love the spider skirt!!!!
So the dress is gorgeous, of course, but I'm also just really enjoying the energy you brought to this video. I can't put my finger on it, but it feels like there's a little extra dash of spice in this voiceover and it's some grade-A YouTube alchemy. 😊
So glad you made this, I totally want to try this method because I know what you mean about the marshmallow! I felt exactly the same way about my chemise gown. Can I ask about your underpinnings? Are you wearing stays and a bumroll as well as the pink petticoat?
Chiffon is shifty in spirit that made me giggle so hard... and velvet is uncooperative, and totally means to be.
I really appreciated the little doodles on the white board. Especially the marshmallow!
The little marshmallow was so funny and cute
I think you do a wonderful job with hair and makeup. I wouldn’t mind videos of you just doing that.
The dress is beautiful and I love the color.
Love it! I love it's brightness and i reckon if the 18th century could have achieved such a colour they would have done. I also enjoyed the little opening with you writing a few bits - it was different but worked well :)
I love it!
Gorgeous 👍🏻✨💖
Absolutely stunning!!!! I had my cousin move in with us and his room is what I had planned to be a sewing room so I could learn to sew more than masks and hems, so I've not had much opportunity to learn to sew yet, But until then, I will just oooh and aaah over your delightful creations!! Never worry about your time frames of getting things out, We will be here when its ready!!!
watching you cut the fabric makes me really glad I mainly work with cottons XD glad you toughed it out and finished the dress, it looks amazing!
