Some Updates and news
Regarding membership and the paywall: I think I will stick to the Luke Ross model for a while—meaning a 3-month paywall, after which the mods become free. I know many of my older mods already qualify for the free tier, but I simply haven’t had the time to prepare and package them for public release just yet.
As for the next project: Control came out on top in the poll, so that is the next game I will be working on!
Regarding the common framework: I have temporarily made it private because I plan to completely redesign it to fit my vision. After the refactoring is complete, I want to deliver the following features:
Dynamic OpenVR/OpenXR Runtime Switching: You will be able to switch runtimes on the fly without having to mess around with manual DLL swaps.
FOV Stencil: This has proven to be highly effective, though it currently only works on a few runtimes (like Virtual Desktop and Pimax).
Asynchronous AER (Alternate Eye Rendering): This is also proven to significantly boost performance. However, because some runtimes have poor native implementations, I will be handling this reprojection myself within the framework to bridge the runtime gap.
UPD 6/14/2026: Control was real good choise to pick, it support dx11 and dx12 in shights of my plans to improve framework this is good game to to test all edge cases. Game itself is more less done third/first person only some effects left to fix. As for framework: openvr/xr right now controllabe via config no need to dance with dll, only one dll needed for both runtimes - dxgi.dll, FOV stencil now done by mod runtimes like oculus link will work normally, timewarp for async AER also moved to mod itself so no runtimes which does support multiple poses in one frame will do support it openvr and some openxr non frontier vendors. Unified logic across runtimes VR/XR now overlay and flat screen mode supported in same way. LATE sync fixed as well as bonus. What still pending: camera motion compensation for wramewarp for async aer, dynamic runtime switch(most likely will postpone), dx11 verification, dx11 motion vector reprojeciton. These unifications will unlock some streamlining for game mods, still lots of ideas to implement.

hi, are you planning to release any mood for free (a part from the old Assassins Creed's), I would like to test the mods before i commit to pay subscription, the games I am interested in are "God of war" and "A Plague Tale" ?
Not sure where to ask but can't figure out how to get Starfield to work. I feel like I followed your instructions to the letter. - launching in SteamVR with QuestLink - app opens in a window - windows plays a "device connected" noise and the game swaps to full screen (looks like VR) as the Bethesda logo starts to play - it gets halfway through showing the logo and windows device disconnect noise plays - SteamVR overlay appears, Starfield app crashes Any ideas? Sorry to ask here, I can't seem to find a troubleshooting page
download latest version of mod, and use openxr with oculus link as openvr is not really best choise for quest headsets
And where is your lukes model I want to support you but cannot test a game of ragnarok from 2016 to see if it's ok. You keep saying I will provide it free my mods but still..
I have no update on this, too much other projects draining my time. If you want to test something you can check starfield or assassins creed which are free right now
all this sounds great :) , Mutar i love what you are cooking ^^
Great work Mutar :)
Nice updates, Great work Mutar :)
how is all going? not too complicated this one? Control? we have ETA?
Stuck with refactoring framework, openvr giving me hard times, but it is going pretty good
The new features sounds great.
Thank you for your hard work!
Hi Mutar Which version of control are you working on at the ultimate addition is very cheap on steam at the moment?
I had it for a real long time from epic store not a deluxe
Why Assassin's creed Origin is missing?
Because its a fine wine
Good timing - it's on sale now for $3.99 on steam!
Good for u .doit your way always be there support u
that is excellent, really happy to read all this, this looks promising, and glad you're going with 3 months early access :) cheers !
Can you think about adding a mono Mode Like in Lukes mods please? Some people dont need stereo and they highly benefit from the Performance boost of mono.
Can't say I'm too excited for Control, I was really hoping for Dying Light the Beast. Played Control years ago but I guess I'll see what's its like in VR. I'm so thankful that you and Luke Ross are making these mods though. I also appreciate that you are just making game pad controlled mods because that means that the mods can come out so much faster. I can only imagine how much longer it would take a single mod to come out if you were trying to do motion controls with them. I know you get a lot of persistent comments from some people about wanting motion controls but please keep doing what you are doing. Its a real treat to see mods for these detailed game worlds coming out so quickly.
Are you going to fix the starfield mod?
Is the Starfield mod not working? It was fine when I played it a couple of weeks ago. Has there been another game update?
Thank you for your work serving the community. The AER is very interesting, i would expect an improvement in fluidity. I would like you to continue your excellent work on the Assassin's Creed series ( AC origins , the coming AC Black Flag Resynced,..). Your mods on this series have even made me invest in high-end equipment 😊. Thanks again
Yeah Assassins Creed Origin could be great!
Amazing! Cant wait for control with head aim! 💪
And decoupled pitch :)
Great decision, whatever happens, we'll be here to support you, and if possible, one request: Assassin's Creed Unity!
Welcome back and thank you for the update! Personally I already finished Control and don't think I'd like to replay it just for VR, but it's definitely a great title to experience in VR otherwise. And the performance features look very promising! So I'm also looking forward to the next update!
Heck yeah, been wanting Control in VR!
Good to see you back mate
Can’t wait, thank you for all the hard work!! I stopped playing Control 6 years ago and decided to wait, in the hopes that there would someday be a way to play it in VR haha. Really appreciate all that you do Mutar
Same here, but with Yakuza series. It's really hard to keep myself from playing it, but as it was in the voting options, I'll keep waiting. Far from 6 years now anyway :D
