I.N "HALLUCINATION" | [Stray Kids : SKZ-PLAYER] Analysis

Blab away! I loved this one and would have loved to hear more about it. Definitely down for a deep dive on any of SKZ's stuff! I already sprang for the high tier membership so let's do this lol. Also a dancer-take: the dance bits don't get much screen time in this piece, but I wanted to point out how much the choreography really echoes a lot of what you mentioned in the structure of the song, the production and sound choices, and the vocals. The movements are actually soooo minimal and simple! But take a ton of control to achieve well. There is a lot of smooth accented by small sharp movements, just very smooth and controlled. There are several parts where only one small part of the body (like the hands or fingers) moves; this is a technique in choreography that can serve as an accent and very intentionally draw the viewer's attention. Even the body rolls are small- only from the hips to the ribcage- but so very, very smooth and very attention-grabbing. Makes me curious who the choreographer was. Whoever it was, they did a fantastic job embodying the music!

I.N has such a gorgeous voice. I know you asked about stages. The AAA music awards where they did Bleep, Bounce Back, WoW and Ceremony is phenomenal. Highly recommend as the vocals are amazing

I.N is ~4 months younger than the Virgos - Seungmin, Felix, and HAN. They are Sep 2000 and he's Feb 2001.

Stay love when people blab about the boys and their music so please don’t hold back! As for them coming to new york, they’re headlining a music festival. They’re starting a tour at some point this year too, but we don’t know when and where they will pop up yet :) Them using their voices as instruments happens quite a lot and I love it, hehe

I do think I.N. being the youngest is relevant to this song specifically because this was the first song (that I'm aware of) that I.N. has done that has kind of a more mature, sexier style to it. He likes being the baby of the group (he has mentioned this in some of their variety content) but, I get the impression that he wanted to break out of that role a little bit and show that he can pull this off too. He and Hyunjin both are always mentioning in interviews that they want to do a "sexy" concept for their next album 😂 People went crazy for these crop top body rolls (especially in some of the live performances) and when they all swapped solos with each other Lee Know did Hallucination and it's, frankly, devastating to watch. Lee Know does such a good job.

Maybe you get to it later (I'm about halfway through) but all these solo songs have the credits at the very start at the bottom of the screen. Some of them are actually not produced by 3Racha (for example I know Seungmin wanted a very specific style for his solo song). This song I believe Changbin originally wrote for himself and later gave to I.N. and looks like he was involved in production along with RESTART and Chae Ganghae. Also just a bizarre coincidence, I had just queued up this reaction to watch after a work meeting and then the first song on my Stray Kids playlist shuffle just HAPPENED TO BE Hallucination. What are the odds? (about 1 in 54).

Great reaction and seeing that list you had there we still have a lot to look forward to this month😃. 3Racha has Songwriting credits on pretty much all of their Songs (and often things like lyrics and composition is only done by them) but they are not allways the sole producers. If you look into the credits you will notice alot of reacuring names like VERSACHOI who is a producer that has been working with them pretty much since the beginning and has credits on like 50 skz songs. So they definatly also surrounded themselfs with people that are not only talented but also fit their style

Ah I had a feeling you would like this one😂 I think doing more of their Solos is a great Idea especially now after the concert. We have the HOP Solos, then we have another set of Solos they only performed live (I think I recommanded Hans Dont Say before which was part of those) and we have 4 duo Songs (you allready did Cinema and will do Escape). And we have just a bunch of Songs they kind of released in between, for example Han released a very nice song 2 weeks ago

I would absolutly loooove a deep deep dive and there are plenty of songs to do that with. We still havent done some of their bangers like Sclass or Thunderous

Such a good one to get to know I.N some more! To answer the age thing I.N is 24, Seungmin, Han, Felix and Hyunjin are 25, Changbin 26, Lee Know 27 and Bang Chan 28. Age plays a important role in Korean culture thats why its beeing mentioned that I.N is the youngest😊

Ahh thanks for taking my suggestion! I allready wrote that in my rec but the song was written by Changbin and he originaly intended to use it as his own solo. But then I.N loved it so much that Changbin gave it to him. They ofc completly rearranged it since Changbins version would have been a lot more Rap but you can still here Changbin in some of the backing vocals😆 Its from the Hop album where they all did a Solo Track (you allready did Chans Railway and now I.N) so there would be 6 more Solos for you to Check out😊
