You should watch the SB19 Journey documentary on Cashual Chuck's YouTube channel, SB19 Story Episodes. That's more accurate if you really want to know more about them https://www.youtube.com/@cashualchuck/search

There are so many haters and bashers of SB19 when they were just starting their career. But because of their dreams and passion in music they kept moving on. A'TIN were the ones who always fight for them. They always defend SB19 from people who look down on them. Now SB1 9 doesn't want to quit because of the love and support of A'TIN. Ken genuinely thanking A"TIN the sincerity of it the story behind the song what makes the crowd emotional.

You will understand their songs more if you would check their very rough journey from the beginning of their career. The crowd was crying because of the story behind this song.

Here is a sample Piano version of Quit from a fan: https://youtu.be/lGWfGeJi1XE?si=qwSr0Xrc5mpYUunm . Almost all of the SB19 members write songs.. some for their own and some for the group. And the members being heavily involved in the different aspects of production from engineering to creatives and so on.. we can surely expect a uniquely mixed and awesome music from them

This is one of my favorite and one of the best songs from SB19. So happy listening to your reactions of SB19s performances and songs

Ken is always a rockstar so I'm not surprised he made a Pop-Rock song like QUIT. I would love for you to react on Ken/Felip's ACHE solo song, his vocals and emotional connection to his music is on another different level there. Thank you for this reaction!🥰

Check out “Ache” by Ken/Felip and will be interesting to know your thoughts… you will see how he can take the low tone to something very beautiful, heartfelt and emotional it can be …

Thanks for the reaction! This is my favourite song in the Simula at Wakas EP. This is the first time they are doing a song in the rock genre. This was originally supposed to be in Ken’s album but gave the song to the group. Pablo contributed to the lyrics to make it more appropriate for a group. Pablo is very proud of Ken for this song.

Thank you, Tim, for this beautiful reaction and analysis! So happy you finally got to see this. This truly hits you differently - the lyrics, the performance, the boys’ voices, the live band, ken’s message, and the joint choir-like voices of the audience - it gets me all the time. This was during their 2-day kick-off concert for their SAW world tour. They sold out the Philippine Arena (largest indoor arena in the world) with 55K pax each day. I was there for day 2 (Josh’s hair was red the first day and blue the next 😅) and it was amazing! I hope you get to see them live someday too. May I also say that you have made me want to hear a piano version of this song now 😁

Songs do really come and kind of speak to you at the right moment. I really like this analysis from you Tim. Glad you enjoyed it as well. Josh' part that says " Bukas, makalawa, alam kong may darating na grasya, grasya, grasya.." means 'Tomorrow or the next day, i know there will be blessing, blessing, blessing..' In my POV, the way how each part of "grasya" was sung has different emotions in it. It sounded sad and a little hopeful at the same time. Like there's a firmly held belief that there will be blessings, but at the same time there's the uncertainty of the opposite, and yet you still cling to that little hope that there will be one. Then it's followed with the "I guess we'll never know.." Personally, this song connects because sometimes, your hater might just be you. Give your self some grace but also rebel against your own self sometimes.

Thanks for covering this! It’s one of my favourite performances and makes me cry every time. This was at the Philippine Arena, 55K sold out venue for two days! One of the largest indoor venues in the world. Started out as a one day kick-off concert but the response was overwhelming so they had to add another day. Ken actually wrote this song. “Ayokong mamatay” means “I don’t want to die” as a prelude to the lyric: “I’m afraid to die alive.” This line just cuts to the deep.

Ken/Felip (Ken goes by Felip for his solo work) composed this song, and he originally planned to release it as a solo, but they decided collectively that it was better for the group, so Pablo just helped to rework the song. Something that I think is different with them is how their solo work still feeds into the group as a whole, especially since they own their own company together. With other groups it seems like their solos are silos, but here it seems like just a smaller part of their collective vision. Felip even said in an interview that some people were afraid that him releasing solos was an indication that he was leaving the group but he said no, solo work is important so that they can also improve individually, which also improves the group, and that he would be part of SB19 until he died. 😊 I think the reason too that they decided this was something that was better for the group is because it really is their shared lived experience. Just the year prior they were in danger of not existing due to legal disputes with their former company regarding their name and trademark. But they never quit, and in fact their solo work was key in getting them through that period. And they managed to get full ownership of their name and trademark on December 2024 😃 it's so nice when these things have a happy ending, because it seems so rare in the music industry.

Yay, finally! This kept showing up in the chat and I had my fingers crossed for a while. 🤞😅 I love a good “FU, not only did we survive, but we thrived” anthem and they celebrated it for themselves and their fans. Woot!! 🎉 Maybe we should have put a warning label like “may cause a case of the FEELS.” Between Ken’s speech, the weeping fans, and the love going back and forth - whoo, warmed my skeptical Gen-Xer heart. 😊

This was Ken's/ Felip's song supposed to be ( he has solo songs/albums) but he gave it to the group
