We final got to meet Dad!! I have so many questions.

In the pilot Husk isn't the only one Alastor summons to the hotel to help run it, there is another character it is implied he owns the soul of. I'm not sure if that would be considered a spoiler really or not?
I've figured out one of the many reasons I love your reaction content to these hellaverse shows! As someone with not-so-open-minded parents who would crucify me for watching and loving these shows, it's sooo great to see someone who is a father figure with a daughter close to my age loving these shows, showing interest in the setting and lore of viv's hell universe, laughing along with us at the raunchy humor, being vulnerable with us during the uncomfortable bits, and supporting, being invested in, and normalizing the queer relationships! Love love love that you're sharing this with us ❤️ thank you Tim!!!
This is one of my favorite episodes because it's so much fun! Both songs are incredible Additionally!! Charlie has the egg boys in her phone contacts which is so freaking adorable!! More than anything in the official Latin Spanish Dub is incredible. Turkish too! It would be neat if you checked out some of these in the other languages!
More Than Anything is such a great and beautiful song and I love the live version they did during the Broadway show too. Both are beautiful in different ways. I feel like the animated version is a lot more emotional, but seeing them both perform it together in Broadway just had a big wow factor.
I believe death in the Hellaverse works like this: - Sinnners can die, but they respawn, so they are kind of immortal, as their soul is trapped in hell forever, but due to angels, they can be killed, in which we will find out how that works later - When it comes to imps, like Blitz, and hellhound, like Loona, they can die from things in conventional ways, like how humans die, and that is permanent for them, but unlike humans, they are immune to fire. - demon royalty, like Stolas and Charlie, are also seemingly immortal in the (exact?) way sinners are I might be wrong on some aspects but I believe it’s 99% accurate
Sinner Saturday? I watched Hell's Greatest Dad and More Than Anything before I saw the show, it's part of what made me decide to actually give it a watch. So I also had an idea of who Lucifer was and what he was capable of before watching. And then when he fumbled for the phone and went "Heeeeeey bitch" I paused just to message my friend who had already seen the show, "OH, so Lucifer is a LOSER (affectionate)" I love him Also! You noticed the apple on his hat and staff. If you look around the hotel, you'll also notice a bunch of apple and circus theming! It looks like Charlie takes after her dad in that aspect, and makes his dislike of Alastor's distinctly different bayou theming possibly less about finding it tacky and more about it not being a Morningstar aesthetic.
I second Sinner Saturday!
Suggestions for intros: •Helluva Saturday •Vivienne's invasion •Time for "Morning Medrano" •Saturday Sins 😈 (Added on) "Medrano madness"! "Pride Ring Sing-a-long!" "Hazbin check-in" "Pentagram program"
Sinful Saturday? O:
You were actually in time with the song 🎵 so this setup could allow for future sing alongs🎶 Lucifer's instant dislike for Alastor was pretty obvious but Alastor's was a little more subtle: when Lucifer barged in and hugged Charlie, Alastor's eye was twitching. Lucifer's initial reaction to Vaggie is a little foreshadowing... for the next episode.... Mimzie has Mammon's symbol tattooed on her shoulder
So, as I understand it Mimzy was actually supposed to be part of the main cast. When Vivzie made the pilot, she had an idea for seasons that would be something like 20 episodes long, and that's what she pitched to A24 and Amazon after they took an interest, but they weren't willing to invest in that much, so they gave her 8 episodes per season instead. That meant a lot of characters and content had to be cut. Mimzy was a character that Viv made early on and liked a lot, so it's one of the most extreme cases of kill your darlings in the whole show. Instead of being main cast, Mimzy gets to come in for an episode as an exposition character. That makes her introduction ("I know you were all waiting for me") kind of an in-joke as well. It would appear that, as opposed to most Overlords who own the souls of regular sinners, Alastor became an Overlord by gaining possession of the souls of other Overlords. As Husk explained in episode 4, he was an Overlord before he gambled away the souls he owned at cards. Then Alastor showed up and offered to let him keep his powers if he would sell his soul to him ("I sold my soul to save my power," Husk sings in Loser Baby). As for who holds Alastor's leash, that's all a big mystery at this point, but without spoiling too much, you may learn more about it in the next season. ;) Also, welcome to the Jeremy Jordan as Lucifer fan club. It consists of basically the entire fandom. We should get t-shirts. Oh, and just to respond to your question about my comment on the last video, Angel has a song in season 2 called Losin' Streak which is one of my absolute favourites of the whole show and I think you will love it too when you get to it. Blake Roman goes above and beyond with that particular vocal performance.
Losing streak is absolutely amazing. The amount of agility and control exhibited never ceases to impress me. It has only gotten more impressive as I work on learning to sing it. Honestly, initially I was iffy on a lot of the season 2 music until about episode 4, but virtually the entire soundtrack has grown on me substantially the more I listen to it.
Lucifer was the serpent that offered the Apple to eve. The Apple was the gift of free will. Giving humanity choice, for better or worse. This was the reason Lucifer was banished to Hell. Hence the Apple and snake regalia he wears.
When you get to season 2, Prime released videos of the actors in the studio recording their songs. Now we get to see them sing, not just hear them. This might be cool for your analysis videos.
RE: Alastor vs Lucifer power levels Disregarding any relevant lore dropped in season 2: On pure concentrated power output, Lucifer is stronger. We don't know exactly how much, but solely by hierarchy it would be reasonable to believe it is substantial. As mentioned in this episode, Lucifer was originally an angel, based on religious context one of the original angels, and a high-ranking one at that. Alastor, though clearly VERY powerful, is still a sinner (and thus, originally a human). We've only seen him face off against other sinners, and as far as on screen combat goes, they weren't even Overlords. While not confirmed I personally believe that fighting the loan sharks was tantamount to him flicking a crumb off a table. My personal belief/analysis is that, while Alastor has a lot of raw power, his greater skills are his technique and his mind. I suppose if I compared it to video games and ttrpgs, I view him more as a utility fighter that happens to have a high attack stat. The abilities that we've seen from him are highly adaptable to both combat and non-combat situations, significantly increasing both his stealth and mobility. It's also worth noting, though not directly in reference to combat, one of the song writers, Sam Haft, compared Alastor to Odysseus. I could analyze his character a LOT more but it's not currently relevant and potentially draws from season 2, so I'll leave it there. (Don't get me started on character analysis; I have a master's in clinical psychology and I studied theatre, so psychologically based character analysis is my JAM).
This is my favorite episode of both seasons so far, which is saying a lot, but this daddy daughter moment really hits home with so many people. Lucifer is supposed to be adhd coded, and Charlie even more so.
I love how into the lore you are! So Sinners cannot kill other sinners with their own power. When sinners "die" they either respawn somewhere or regenerate. The Angels 𝙘𝙖𝙣 permanently kill sinners souls but sinners cannot hurt Angels. So until Carmilla somehow did, as revealed in episode 3, the power dynamic has always been one sided. So Alastor didn't kill the other overlords, He trapped their tortured souls in his broadcasts unless they served him, like Husk and Nifty. Since Lucifer is an Angel, Alastor cannot hurt him.
Hellborns (like imps, hellhounds or succubi) can die like human beings, by injury or sickness or old age. Sinners or demon royalty (like the Goetias or Angels) can die only by angelic steal. We don't know about arcangels like Lucifer, we know exorcists Angels can die by angelic steal, but maybe high rank Angels are different, it's still unclear
In addition: If a sinner "dies" by normal means without angelic steal it is implied they regenerate and that it takes time so we can imagine that it is still very painful and unpleasant. We don't know yet how long that takes or what the limitations are.
I've been meaning to comment on any number of videos (not just Hazbin), to the point that it's embarrassing I'm only commenting now. Hearing you’d eventually be reacting to Hazbin is what initially got me to subscribe here, but I’m loving all of the reaction content, even outside of the more focused musical breakdowns. One thing I’ve really meant to say, and I do hope it’s not overstepping, is that I really appreciate that you don’t edit out moments where a piece of art makes you cry (or feel uncomfortable). It’s a privilege to see someone willing to be vulnerable in any way, and I truly believe seeing someone willingly embrace emotions that tend not to be socially lauded on a more public platform without trying to shame, downplay, or dismiss the feelings is incredibly important. I don’t comment often because I generally don’t consider myself to be particularly interesting, and I try not to comment something that has already been said. Seeing as I’m usually a bit late to the videos, that does limit what I can contribute haha! I’ll probably get into it a bit more at some point in the comments of a more related video, but I will just say this: I do truly learn a lot from your content. I love music and singing (despite great insecurity surrounding my voice), and watching your content has provided me a way to try to learn in a less exposed environment, testing what my voice can do. So thank you!
