Crimson Offering
After my last, rather personal post, I thought it would be nice to come back with something a little more familiar: a small and slightly spontaneous release 🖤
The idea for this one has actually been sitting in the back of my head for almost a year. At some point I found an icon for a vampiric dagger in the game files, but there was no actual visual attached to it. That immediately made me want to make one myself, it just took me a while to finally get around to it.
I really enjoy working with metal, both sculpting it and doing the texturing afterwards. Even though I have plenty of materials in my library, I usually prefer building the final look myself with custom masks, surface variation, wear, and all those little details that give the material its character.
This wasn't really part of my original schedule. Things are pretty packed at the moment, and the next project I'm working on is going to be much bigger in scale, with quite a bit more than a single outfit involved. I didn't want to completely disappear in the meantime, though, so this became a small spontaneous side project.
And that's also where the name, Crimson Offering, comes from. I wanted this one to feel like a little offering of my own, something made simply because I wanted to make it, and something I could share with everyone 🩷

I wrote a very long comment but then my dog hit the keyboard to sign his agreement and it all disappeared. I tried to reconstruct but somehow seemed to double it's length... TL;DR- I love your mods. I have seen your mods showcased in images on other mods (various VP mods and HIMBO are the first I think of). I fell in love with so many of them from pictures (Zeus and Onyx Desert especially, because my boys need more beautiful clothes that show off their chests). However, I didn't have a Patreon. I'm not really sure why I was so adamant I didn't want to get one. I think it was some level of the autistic hermitage behavior others have also mentioned. And knowing what a slippery slope it is for me because I love pretty clothes so much- if I can't wear beautiful clothes, at least my characters can. But my mod list was already over 700 just from mod.io and nexus. But I kept checking in every few weeks. Debating with myself. Then I saw this set available without an account and I immediately downloaded. I was so excited. It's so beautiful and Astarion deserves nice things. But it made me think even more about the clothes. All those beautiful clothes if I only made an account. Today I finally caved. And I spent hours pouring over every single mod in your collections, oohing and ahhing my way along. I downloaded 34 of them. Then went back and downloaded 3 more. They were all amazing, but I was limiting myself to the ones I could look at and immediately know which of my characters I would have wearing it. But even now I'm plotting out creating new characters just to put in the other clothes. Then I saw your post before this one. And I floundered around trying to figure out how to get you this message. Because I wanted to make sure you know that every single item you've made is fantastic. That the time and effort you have put in does not go unnoticed, at least by me. And then I went back and downloaded 2 more because I finally figured out who would wear them. And have 5 more open and ready to download in the morning when I can make sure I don't screw up the load order. Some of them may not fit how I play certain characters (my giant sweet but stupid ranger isn't going to wear the incubus outfit, but you can bet my (brand new as of writing this) tiefling that was one of Fierna's lovers will, which means I need to go get that one now too), but every single one spoke to me, asking me to download it because isn't it amazing. And now I'll say, as others have also said, I'm sorry that I am a natural lurker. I unfortunately probably won't make many other comments. Not because I don't love your work, but because I have deep seated personal issues with engaging with people. But yeah. I just wanted to tell you that I have loved the pieces of your work I had seen for quite some time. I love and admire your work. Thank you so much for all of the work you put in to every single one of your outfits and weapons.
As a ranger main I appreciate all the short swords and dagger mods
I'm usually the type to observe things from afar and not interact. The internet's social side exhausted me at a young age. But I realise than a follow and a few (actually a lot) of downloading and using your mods do not translate the amount of appreciation I hold for your work. Even if some of the outfits are not a one to one match to the aesthetics of my playthroughs, I still find myself staring long and hard at each new project you put out. I'm a HUGE sucker for clothes. For textures, fabric weights and the physics of them. Your art never cease to amaze me. So I wanted to let you know! Thank you for the incredible amount of time and effort you put into each new mod. You deserve all of the support and traction you now have. Thank you for making a quiet socially awkward gal all giddy and happy and legit just obsessed. And know, that the silence I may protray on your page (lack of comments and forgetting half the time to like stuff) is nothing but an illusion. Cuz BY GODS ARE YOU INCREDLE! I wanted to say, I understand how you feel. As a creator, it can be maddening not to know if people are seeing, enjoying, or wanting something. On YouTube, unlike IG or TT, I can't see who is liking something or watching, so it's like screaming into a void. And most people don't realize I cannot know they were there, so they say nothing. It starts to feel lonely, and like you're getting pigeonholed. Especially if every time you branch out, those passion project items don't receive love or attention. It makes you question if people care about you, your work, your talent, or if they just care about one specific topic/creation that you also enjoy but isn't as close to you as a fully unique creation. I'm sorry that you're going through that. It's a horrible feeling, and it quickly leads to burnout. Sometimes, people forget that creators are, at their core, artists. And artists need to feel their art witnessed.
One of my headcanon “Tavstarion” babies is a Sword Bard dhampir. She would absolutely ROCK these, so thanks so much for sharing this!

Thank you so much! 🖤 As I mentioned in another comment, I’m very much the same kind of player. Whenever a game gives me the choice, I pretty much always play male characters, so having plenty of ways to customize them visually has always been important to me too. That’s why it makes me especially happy knowing my mods are useful to other players who have the same struggle. I’m very glad I can contribute a little to fixing our shared male-character wardrobe problem 😂 And yes, I definitely want to keep making room for more feminine and elegant styles too. Male characters deserve the full fashion range!

I also wanted to just say a short word about your previous message. I remember the last time you felt the need to say it, and I'm sorry things haven't changed enough since then. Your work is beautiful. Going back on what I said before I was so amazed when I first found you and saw just the sheer amount of gorgeous work you have available. I honestly don't know how modders can make so much top tier content without requiring payment. Sometimes I want to make little things myself too, but I'm a complete beginner with zero foundation in modeling or creating appearance mods. I was wondering — how did you get started? Are there any tutorials or guidance suitable for newcomers? Thank you again for creating such beautiful things! I can't wait to wear them in game!
Thank you so much 🖤 As for tutorials, I honestly don't have any specific ones I can recommend. When I first started modding, I barely even knew there were tutorials for this kind of thing 😭 My very first mod was mostly me figuring things out on my own, with plenty of mistakes along the way. The only thing I really looked up at the beginning was how to combine existing in-game assets into new outfits. Even now, I mostly learn by doing. If I run into a very specific problem, I'll look for a tutorial, check the BG3 modding wiki, or search for information about that particular thing, but I've never really followed any general course or learning path. There are Discord communities focused specifically on BG3 modding though, and they might be much better for beginner resources and recommendations. I'm definitely more of a practical learner than a theoretical one, so I'm usually much better at helping with a specific problem than answering something as broad as "how do I start modding?" 😅 And don't be discouraged by being a complete beginner ^^ ❤️ I definitely didn't start out making things at the level I do now either. A lot of it is simply experience built up over time.
I don't usually have strong feelings for weapon mods, but WOW I love this one! I can't wait to use it :D

I really wanted to comment on your last post. I think that your creations are absolutely amazing. I think that some people do take slight advantage of the fact that a lot of modders on patreon don’t charge, and are quick to download the mods without showing love to those who made them. With that being said, I was also one of those people: and I’d like to change that by telling you sincerely THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO. I can tell you have a real passion for modding and creating things. Your creativity is inspirational, and I can only hope to aspire to be that passionate about creating again. I readily admit I am TERRIBLE at engagement (autism sucks) and I've always been a lurker,but your work does reach people and they do enjoy it. Some of us are just really bad at the social aspect. I hope you realize that the number of followers you have shows that your work does matter out there, and a lot of people truly appreciate it. My oldest daughter especially loves your work for this game and keeps changing companion outfits all the time (long live transmog LOL) to make use of as many of your outfits as possible. She's gonna go insane when she sees this one. But she's like me in the engagement department (including the autism) so it's hard for her. But you are very much appreciated for the work that you do.
