Update - 06/12 Orangutan Sponsored Sawing Action
HEJ.
Earndil here, we're about a week overdue on this, and that's primarily because it's been a WHIRLWIND of activity since we released Chapter 5.4! We've got progress being made on Chapter 6, Chapter 5.5, a new audiolog in the form of Chapter 6.1, and a bunch of other THINGS we have to stare at with our strained eyed-balles.
But instead of hearing me whinge about the work we are working work, I shall TELL you some of what we're on about!
HUNTER THE PARENTING CHAPTER 5.4 - SECOND INQUISITION FEEDBACK!!!
Before I do that though! I wanted to posit a question to you all, our loyal and highly plortagineous patrons!
How did you guys enjoy the Second Inquisition audiolog? We certainly felt it was a good one to give to everyone, but there is always room for improvement, and your honest opinions are always valuable.
HUNTER THE PARENTING CHAPTER 5.5 - HUNTER: THE GRIMALLING
By popular(?) demand, we have elected to keep the title as it was, since there were more than a few people who liked the placeholder title so much. Thunder and I (Earndil) have been working hard on this audiolog, and we've made considerable progress in the past weeks, stymied only by events in my life that are demanding a fair portion of my attention. At the pace we're going, we should be seeing a release within the next month, thereabouts, for 5.5, provided no FURTHER interference is received.
HUNTER THE PARENTING - CHAPTER 6
FUCK GUYS IT LOOKS SO GOOD THE ART AND ANIMATING TEAM JUST KEEP MAKING IT LOOK GOOD AND THERE'S NO STOPPING THEM IT'S FUCKING MADDENING I AM CUSSING AND CURSING AND SWEARING LIKE SOME KIND OF LIVID MEDIA CRITIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We're missing about 4 pieces of artwork, with just a couple more that haven't been animated yet. I think all fullbody puppet segments are done? We'll soon be able to move onto the quality control phase. The final SFX pass has been started by Alfabusa, and the first pass of subtitles has been finished.
Super excited seeing this one move closer to the finish line after such a LONG ass time....
HUNTER THE PARENTING - CHAPTER 6.1 - NAME PENDING
This one we've kept under our hats, as it ties somewhat closely to a character we've not had a lot of time to explore yet, but we've already finished and approved the script for it, and production on the art for it is under way, along with voice recordings.
More news on this one as it develops...
NORFOLK WIZARD GAME
We've got a game this month to record, but as always we're well ahead of the 8-Ball here for that, so we will get more news to you as it develops!
RADS TO RICHES
FRUSTRATION AND CALAMITY.
Nothing with regards to production pipeline, only that games are getting pushed back due to internet interruptions as we're recording, or preparing to record.
Again more news to come later this month on this.
500,000 SUBSCRIBERS ON ALFABUSA CHANNEL!?!?!?! WHAT THE FU-
WANTED TO TAKE EXTRA TIME ASIDE TO THANK YOU ALL FOR 500K SUBS ON THE YOUTUBED CHANNEL, QUITE A MILESTONE FOR US, AND EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US IS THANKFUL FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO CONTINUE TO FOLLOW OUR SPORADIC FORAYS INTO THE WORLD OF ANIMATION, VAMPIRES, AND FLIES AND GOBLINS.
We're working on SOMETHING to celebrate this... stay tubed......................
That's it for this week though, keep your eyes peeled, your nose peeled, your ears peeled, your mouth peeled, and your fingers UN-peeled because you need those to type and touch and poke!
Until next time, we hope you have a poppeng rest of your day!!!!!!!!!!!!
-Earndil
Until next time, have a good one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vampires could only dream of attaining the "Garou Puppy Eyes" Gift. Not even D's golden brain could withstand the headpats delirium.
Everything needs more Angry Erandil voice in it.
I loooved Chapter 5.4, especially the horrid swedish man and the union. My "extensive in length but minor in severity" critique was already voiced in a youtube comment of mine, so I'm going to copy and expand it. Yormolch'll help ya' out! 'Es a critiquing savant I tell ya! (INHALES): "1. I really hope they discuss the issue of the Wyrm influence among themselves, especially after Marckus rejoins the group. The Chapter House needs to know how deeply infiltrated the organization is and I hope that everybody will realize how important it is to share this information. It could be a flaw of them to forget this, but every group had some run in with it now. (more of a hope, than a critique) 2. On the point of important information to share, I so hope they tell Occam about Wernons tapes, because they were specifically addressed to him and he really needs to hear them. At this point I don't see a good reason being established, why they would keep this from him. If you want them to keep it secret, show us at least why they make this decision. 3. Stepping away from wishes that don't bother me if they don't happen, because flawed characters are allowed to make mistakes, I was a bit taken aback by the incompetence with which the D family handled these negotiations. Especially since they failed in almost the exact same way three times in a row, only to be saved by circumstance, not by their own (or somebody else's) intervention. For people who have been in the business for so long, that was quite confusing behavior from a storytelling perspective. Negotiations being their major weakpoint is an interesting character flaw for the group, but I think it could have been written a little better. Mind you, this is VERY specific and picky criticism, the episode over all was once again very entertaining and intriguing, but because I care so much about this work of art and passion, I would want it to improve wherever it can. So I offer my humblest critiques, for your consideration. On a very positive note, the characters from the Order of St. Leopold and Krycman are hilarious, Blaire is horrible (in the best way), the Unionists are very good at representing what they stand for and I hope to see these characters again in the future." FUCK! Alright, that's all. Like I said, small nitpicks, I loved the episode overall and as always I can see the improvements in animation, writing and character development with each episode. Thank you very much for all your work.
6.1 is just marckus awakening
aw she is sowwy she kwidnapped yow son :3
Hey Ogre Poppenang team, loved episode 5.4. I legit jumped for joy for the marriage reveal and felt decimated by Occam's very subtly acted reaction while he and Remold discussed its repercussions. My only feedback was that the D family was pretty bad at bargaining, which felt counter to the early discussion on what they should do. Could've been more subtle and could've had more of the family counter-offering, especially since Kitten previously showed his skill on that front in the Dog-Ghoul powers episode with D.
5.4 was absolutely EXEMPLARY.
chapter 5.4s Art was genuinly immaculate, the comedy as well was spot on I really loved the bickering between the Catholics and the exchanges between the different members of the coalition, my only critique would be twoards the Swedish guy, his sprites coupled with his dialogue were really funny at times but I personally feel the horse was beat a bit to much, I more than understand this is partly intentional to convey how annoying and actively frustrating it is to be in the same room as the guy (which also was really funny) but I do think it went on a bit too long
ENTIRELY my personal opinion though otherwise it was a stellar audio log and makes me so excited for the next one and chapter 6, you guys are amazing! This has been my introduction to world of darkness and it’s made me absolutely obsessed with it
I appreacite you always looking for how to improve, toxic positivity can really hurt constructive feed back. I loved it, i have rewatched it a few times its amazing. It left me thinking they might as well join up with the kindred, at least the blood bond would would make them enjoyed it. With the marriage being vitial to the plot, i wonder how the blender will be put to use ! But in terms of any critisims, i only have one which is i crave more, you could drop new things every week and it wouldnt be enough, but quailty takes time and im not going anywhere !
The Inquisition audiolog was very well voice acted and very well written, but even more importantly, it managed to be a big change of pace from most audiologs. The limited cast usually gives a very intimate feel to the audiologs -- this one felt cramped, crowded and chaotic. In a good way.
I feel like big D definitely sabotaged negociations
I can get more politics please 🥺🥺, though I do get upset by the dumbassery of the hunter family, kept pausing and ranting on how stupid they are, rewatched it 4 times now, veeh good, jolloy good show
YUS! I dunno why I'm so thrilled about "The Grimalling" being kept but I am.
5.4 was amazing! All the new characters introduced were compelling (Avery and McTack were my favorites for polar opposite reasons lol) and the Scene with Door and Blair was INCREDIBLE.
5.4 was probably my favorite audio log in terms of writing, pacing, and vibe. The only thing that I might have done a bit differently is go over a few of the groups a bit slower. I got it after a minute, but initially it was a bit of a blur because im a moron. I went on the wiki to find the domains and purview of each organization, though that has more to do with the lore of the setting rather than your writing. over still a 10/10 audiolog.
Really liked it. I do blame y'all for Bilgewater giving me a new vocal stim. ;P
The pull with bringing back up the divorce papers was incredible. Loved the audio log of the Inquisition.
Oh I HATED the second Inquisition but not for any reason that is bad I suspect I was supposed to hate it The family felt appropriately ground down with the bounce back to defending their rights being in line to what I've experienced as someone who HAS stooped that low Biggest complaint would be shrieky lady was way too shrill Couldn't stand the bit where she was whining about the Hunter Data
Love everything
episode 5.4, as per my comment on video 10/10
I was in a blind rage for almost all of 5.4 so... 10/10 would grind my teeth in impotent fury again.
Can we get fanart of Inquisitor D Family?
5.4 I liked, but the trope of "religion=bad" is getting old. Everyone does it. Can't we just have the religious genuinely help? Or help on principle? Or maybe it's just the b*lgians. Idk. The beurocrats were handled perfectly, I have to work with execs and beurocrats in my day job. Flawless characterization.
The trope isn't religion=bad. It's legit just a sect of the catholic church. Arguably, the religious are the only ones helping and the non-religious IE, the corporations and governments, aren't. The Society of St. Leopold just aren't prioritizing D's family over literally all else, and instead want them to join them to redeem themselves in the eyes of the lord. I don't really know how you missed out on that. It's less "religion bad" and more "why should we help you first?", when D's family has literally nothing to give them since they spend all their time hunting and committing petty crimes. It's far more unreasonable to have a catholic religious sect in the early 2000s go above and beyond to help a single family that openly mocks them and, in a more realistic note, have that family be openly queer. On principle, the family should be spurned as sinners and not attempted to be reformed like Sister Benedicte does. Not to mention, these are still just people. Being innately helpful because you are Christian isn't a reversal of tropes, it's just the same propaganda that has been spread for centuries of the 'pious and good religious peoples' and the 'godless heathens'.
5.4 was simply infuriating to watch (in a good sense). Seeing the D family try to barter their way against the entities in Power taking and taking and taking until the "Burger-Lady" decided to call quits on everything cause they got a bit too close to the wyrmy stuff. I loved the two subordinates of the Society of St. Leopold and their fanatic ramblings. Hit the nail on the head with the episode, in my books ^^
5.4 was fantastic. I was concerned about the balance between humor and seriousness when Karl's character showed up, but the writers balanced it well. As usual, fantastic work from the artists and voice actors. My only wish is that Charles gets his tractor, despite him working with the bad guys. As I said, all the VA's were spectacular, but special shoutout to Vyn Vox. I could not for the life of me believe that they voiced both characters. Didn't recognize 40k Theories either. Just great work. My second only wish is for Occam to be happy ;c
I did LOVE 5.4, really quite good. But I did see some people thinking that the D family came across as very ungrateful/unreasonable. Now the former did get very repeatedly adressed in the chapter itself but the latter, while I do not really agree, i get why people saw it that way and its something that couldve used improvement. Ultimately the demands that were asked of them and the help that was offered in return were unreasonable and very much trying to take advantage but at the same time, the situation theyre in is desperate enough that any help that wouldnt seem ridiculously little would be an insane commitment from the one offerring, and they themselves really had nothing much to offer in return aside from what was already asked of them. This does NOT make the offers presented anything but clearly an attempt to exploit them (with the possible exception of the EAU who seemed less exploitative and instead just limited in capacity) but it can definetly make the family seem really ungrateful and unreasonable and thus unlikeable which in turn can make one not really like the way the plot shakes out since the people you're clearly meant to root for seeming unlikeable can really bother them. Obviosly thats not *really* what the situation and story there is but I personally can understand why some seem to have seen it that way. As for what could actually be done to improve that aspect, I dont think the familys behaviour or the offers presented should change (both are very well done and accurate to the situation and characters) but i feel more emphasis could have been placed on how generally helpless the situation is, particularly if the family at any point got maybe an opportunity to try and offer something themselves instead of it being demanded of them and realised they had nothing to offer, highlighting how its not *just* the greed of the others thats making them struggle, but it's still undoubtedly a problem. And generally bring up the possibility that in this scenario anyone that *wasn't* as greedy and corrupt as the others wouldn't really be in any position to help (though I feel the EAU did a great job doing just that. They clearly aren't as awful as the others but it also means they aren't as capable of helping someone in such a shitty position with nothing much to offer) But still I do wanna emphasise that I LOVED 5.4, am not some genius brain dude and am not trying to pretend to be, and this isnt even my criticism its me seeing some critiques others had said and trying to think of how to adress them because theres clearly enough people saying its good to get the point of "yeah its GREAT" across so just repeating that with no added comment seemed pointless.
I absolutely loved 5.4!!!!! It was very fun, very interesting, very coolll lores happened. And also very awesum you guys are keep up the great work congrats on the subscriber :)
Chapter 5.4 felt quite confrotationary, I loved how Door was the hinge keeping the family from falling into the abyss. The only thing i didn't like was the very accusatory against St. Leopold society. Also Kitten's accusations are falling somewhat flat, as well as the defence offered by the soliders given that their opposition has done worse when they've had power in terms of killing humans, and St. Leopold basically being spiritual lieges of the Ultramarines. It feels like that part could have been done better, rather than having Brock's goons 2.0. as well as bit of surprise that Kitten didn't caught single accusation of being Atheist or Sans-Culottes.
if you bring back TTS for the 500k subs I will faint
Release the last episode that was 99% done pre-cancel
I am so curious what's happening with Markess and the werewolves.
5.4 was great! I’ve rewatched it at least as much as all of your other stuff. I especially liked Charles, since I’m Swedish myself and have replayed his part the most. Please, please, please give us more of him and his GUBBAR! All you make is greater than GOLD! Glöry tö Svärje!
Chapter 5.4 was really good! I was a bit confused at times regarding the motivations of certain characters and the way this chapter progressed, but it all wrapped up for me nicely in the end! :)
the latest audio log was incredible, a roller coaster of emotion, i felt tense, i felt relief, i felt angry, i felt despair and i felt hope. i felt somber and i developed new respect for Occam and Blacklaw, the coalition was just so fittingly infuriating and hatable like, exactly how youd expect power hungry monsters to act, except the unionists who were the closest thing to alright people, but were still under the yoke of the coalition.
Second Inquisition was awesome! It truly showed how FUCKED Hunters are not from the monster but from their own allies and how bureaucracy is the greatest evil of all.
Excitement!
Congrats on reaching 500k yall. Ya deserve it and more. As for 5.4, it was peak for me all round. Tbh everything yall have been making for htp and nwg is major peak from me even if i cant tell the technical good from bad. I feel like big d just screaming encouragement but idk shit. Cant wait to see the GRIMALING
The Second Inquisition audiolog was phenomenal! Very compelling, cool to see the different S.I. groups represented (and almost all beholden to a corporate kill team...) Appreciated even the utterly deranged Swede joke being rooted in a real group. Also the scream that I scrumpt seeing Vincent Fuckinggggg Vinesauce in the credits as MARIO AND LUIGI made me loose my goddamn mind.
The only problem with 5.4 is that there could've been more Blair in it. This goes for every episode of Hunter the Parenting so far
I really enjoyed the second inquisition audiology though my one gripe, I wish some time has been taken to discuss what the realities would have been for Markus and Son in Law as an open gay couple if they had joined the Leopoldites
oh I'll give you some feedback you sons of bitches . . . you're doing great and I love all of it, I'm watching all of it
5.4 was the best thing y'all have put out SINCE chapter 5. Easy
The Hunter: The Parenting Chapter 5.4 audiolog just has me craving more. I am foaming at the mouth for what's next!
My thoughts on the episode 5.4 is “Thanks, I hate it.” I.e. I wish to punch certain characters in the face repeatedly and the worm freak isn’t on that list. Other wise great job at depicting the various member groups of the coalition as either limited, out of their depth, over zealous and or self serving and the ways they might hold a Hunter cell back.
One tiny pet peeve I will mention, and it will not be a big point of contention from 5.4, is Krycman - He is supposed to be what I assume to be Czech immigrant, the grammar would match. The problem is the VA is clearly not Czech, his pronaunciation of 'Kurva' is very far from close and the Czech phrase "Dobrý večer" would not really by used in the context it is used. To be specific, no one will tell you that as a closing statement. A more appropriate phrase for the situation would be a simple "Sbohem" a 'Goodbye', which fits the most with the used cadence. Another alternative could be "Přeju pěknej večer!", this form is less formal (matching the situational dismay) and is closer to the meaning of the original 'Good evening!', to be as precise as possible, the translation would be 'Have a nice evening!' but it is more likely to be used in this situation. Other than this little mishap, twas' a fine episode.
I loved 5.4. You demonstrated a perfect understanding of the World of Darkness as you often do! The way people never give anything for free, the way even the 'righteous' will condemn innocent people to basically slavery for their goals. It's gross and I loved it.
Garou puppy eyes
Feedback for 5.4: you had us in the first half with the developments between the D family and the hunter groups. My watchgroup was getting more and more disgruntled with how willingly D and Door were getting bent over a barrel, until the latter part where they reveal their motivations and strategy. Good work on that. Also, Sluice Watergate best boy, ah-oo.
I think yall deserve 500 million subs, but congrats on getting to 500k
I really liked 5.4 a lot. Remleiz doing Sluice Watergate as a good Evrart Claire wa fun. Lots and los of shouting (which is understandable coming from the D clan considering they were getting extorted the whole episode). I felt disgusted by the Orgs and I enjoyed seeing Blair try to be "nice". A really good episode all in all
Also first thing I ever watched by you lot was this 5.4, and it had me glued to the story. What a refreshing thing to just have some good ass dialogue and characters and just give them time to talk and have the scenario play out in a natural way.
Also hope to get to see more about grimal and kitten in this audiolog felt like hellsing to me
Just amazed at how well your series is becoming popular among indie animation fans even me also I was wondering if you guys can make the oculus empryean as marckus new eye to add more character development
Cool man very good
5.4 was the most unsettling episode ever released to this day. It covered the most terrifying aspect of both WoD *and* real life : Bureaucratic Apathy. I could barely rewatch it a second time, and I still apprehend watching it a third time. Usually after two weeks I've at least watched it three or four times
im going to McDonalds later do you guys want anything
I want to preclude this feedback for 5.4 with the obvious: I've been a fan for a really long time. Both me and my wife subscribe here, with me starting as early as you put this up after the TTS debacle. This isn't a "and thus you should listen to me!!", but rather, to cement I'm not blindly criticizing for the sake of it. I think 5.4 continued a trend from recent episodes of scope and length creep. The episode itself was fun, had key character moments, and provided a great look at your take at likely one of the more minefield-y of Fifth Edition concepts (to some grognards) which was handled with balance and grace. But like a lot of recent work, it felt like it could've been paired and and tightened up a lot for both pace and workload. The audiologs were originally pitched as nice complementary character information and interaction inbetween the large, bulky episodes. The first few consisted of a background, a looping Mackerre track or two (always excellent, btw!) and the vocal work, with every character given a simple portrait and a couple expressions to stand apart. Now, they feel titanic in length, essential in scope, and (with the Werewolf and other related ones specially) feature a lot more expressions, work and music put into them. It truly feels they've ballooned in scope and daring a lot and while that isn't a bad thing per say, I do not think it translated in overall a more explosive payoff per episode. While again, still a great time to see these characters and your take on this world, on four of the last Audiologs I found myself checking the length of it, or feeling certain jokes or bits could've been tightened up in an editing pass. To be more specific, I do feel certain bits or character points were repeated too often (D's reticence, the general "here's an unreasonable request, D freaks out, they try to calm him down, repeat) and some things just generally could in my opinion be chopped up for time (the Gangrel fake cairn a couple audiologs ago, for example) It's easy for me to sit here and throw criticisms, and I don't want it to take away from the amazing work the team has done, and how much you've all extended in talent. You're also under no obligation to deliver anything in any schedule, so it isn't like I can argue from a "delay" perspective. But I do think some of that "tight"ness to the humor, writing and pace has been sacrificed along the way, and I also stress that Audiologs do not need to match finished episodes in scope to be worthwhile. Hell, on that point: The big episodes themselves don't need to be so flashy! I love the flash, don't get me wrong, but the characters and the story are the center of the appeal of all you do. I think it's important for you to know you don't need to "prove" anything by making it bigger, longer and flashier every episode, if that makes sense. Mind you, all of this is still for me to say it's a 8/10 episode. Don't regret a cent I've given you and don't think I ever will. Keep up the good work!
5.4 was one of my favorite audio logs. VAs knocked it out of the park.
I'm keeping my bits so peeled I look like some sort of grubby knock-off of an Aztec god!
5.4 was genuinely stressful to watch (and I don't mean that in a bad way), and the payoff/sense of relief towards the end was borderline magical.
I'm just hoping that Hard and Sluice see enough shady shit to actually want to go back on all those agreements and get the EAU out of that shit.
Gubbar/10 would watch 5.4 again. And I did.
My eyes, nose, ears, mouth, and nerve endings remain peeled.
Loved 5.4 you guys had me screaming at the screen in frustration, despair then elation. Fantastic work always inpressed by your dedication to your audiovisual craft. I understand the D-family are acting erratically because they have alot of big, poorly-processed feelings about Markus being manknapped. But god that seemed to be some very one sided bartering, and I'd think atleast Kitten would have the sense to discuss the conditions of the agreement before putting pen to paper even if they were planning of breaching the contracts almost immediately, small gripe aside it's always a pleasure to experience your work, godspeed and Keep Kool swimming pools!
Amazing work on coming so far ! BRUVA LIVES !!!
ALWAYS NICE TO HÖHÖ SEE THAT YOUR BRAINGUBBAR ARE WORKING WELL
The Second Inquisition audio log was everything I hoped for /anticipated when it comes to portraying the Coalition overall in WOD. I feel like you guys really demonstrated just how zealous the Second Inquisition is but also gave us a good look inside the Coalition as a whole with all its private interests and burecratic/governmental internal functions. Without even seeing it's full force and level of capability I feel like we've seen a pretty well painted picture of what kind of monster the Coalition is
The second inquisition was so good absolute loved the introduction of the new characters hope to see more of them.
Buppy
5.4 was great the coalition was written perfectly it really did seem they were there to take advantage more than help and now I'm even more on guard for any throw away lines that are actually future polt hooks
Imo, 5.4 was genuinely one of if not the best audiolog you lovely folks have put out. It was a fantastic blend of lore, character interactions, comedy, intrigue and suspense. Also with Hunter: The Grimalling now the official title I'm happy to say Hobby Shoppen is safe from my wrath... for now.
Feedback on 5.4: The structure of the episode was so smart it almost hurt. The coalition gradually making bigger and bigger asks of the Golden Goose Gang while offering... So little was such a downward spiral of despair. Watching Big D and Companion get worn down to the point of breaking down was DIRE... Only for the day to be saved by gay marriage. Incredible set-up and pay-off, one for the ages. Checkov's Gun has been retired. All the new characters were great. The EAU, Bilgewell, Benedicte, freaking Krycman... The world of HtP seems wider and weirder knowing these peolle are running around off-camera. That's it, that's my critique. Thank you for letting the episode go this long and giving us all time to marinate with the story.
The gay marriage in Belgium last minute save was absolutely one for the ages. Seemingly random throwaway jokes turning out to be key plot points is one of y'all's greatest writing strengths because not all of the jokes are so relevant, but even when they seem to be, it's hard to see it coming. Top notch
Ever since I first came across this series without knowing WoD or tts two weeks after the release of 5.1 last year, every audio log you've post always blow up my mind. 5.4 continues this miracle, while the story itself good as usual, as the episode featuring the most characters so far, all the VAs delivered astonishingly outstanding performance! Please keep up your work!
Checkovs divorce papers made me cackle like a madman. 10/10 would sell my soul again
Please please please put making an rss feed for podcatchers in the todo list
that sub chatper was uncomfortable the entire time in a real good way.
Concerning 5.4 feedback: 1) I was a little confused when Grandad's Foodstuffs pulled out everyone else pulled out as well. Up until that point I had been thinking 'Why not just take some deals and not others?' and while my immediate answer was 'They want as much help as they can get' it still crossed my mind that they could hear out everyone and then maybe not take the truly worst deals. In the moment, when corporate pulled out and everyone went with them my actual reaction was "Oh, was it all or nothing here?" and if that *is* the case and I'm not horribly mistaken it would've changed the tone for the previous negotiations for me. 2) I liked them all, but I found the different factions a little...underwhelming? Personality-wise. But it might just be that I already have a strong impression (culturally AND WoD-wise) of the Gladius Dei and you've done an EXCELLENT job laying context groundwork for Foodstuffs but the other three were less..vivid? I'm not sure how to put it. The strongest of the other three were the hometown guys. Pretty easy for me to visualize them as a group and their deal, but the other two kinda fade to the background for me. As fun as the foreign guy is (VERY, I will say) the other two organizations are...miscellaneous government? I dunno. And I say this as someone who continues to be *incredibly* impressed by the writing that you do. Let alone all the other stuff. MORE GENERALLY: I enjoyed it. Was thinking 'ah, there's gonna be a TON of time spent dealing with the fallout of these deals' and it really threw me for a loop when things zagged. The clutch ending was amazing! and the true price of it was the real masterpiece. I was thrilled at the surprise clutch move, but the after part had me nodding 'ah, yes. *This* is World of Darkness'. The rest of the world doesn't stop existing, even in victory and that really adds to any story I feel. And of course, humor on point as always. "Quick! Swallow yer rosary!...yer chokin', that's blasphemy!"
How dare you placate me with an adorable killing machine. My one weakness.
Chapter 5.4 was sick, loved your characterization of wod factions/archetypes, art was great everything was sick. The only thing that left me scratching my head was how quickly the D-team fell apart during negotiations. Granted the beginning of the episode begins with D saying he doesn't know diddily about how the Coalition operates, at the end of Ch. 5.2, D and Kitten have the bones of a plan of how to approach negotiating with the Coalition, but its quickly abandoned once they're presented with ludicrously harsh terms like medical/child enslavement. I get being bewildered but I expected more noble Conan style negotiating from D rather than cycling between irrational anger and confusion. This is a minor nitpick though, and maybe serves to show the D team's ability to politick/negotiate's weaker when they're the little guy so, those are just my two cents.
Matilda 'Apologies' video when XD
Oh neat, I can write here! I really loved it, even if Czech Kryptman is cursed... clearly.
Also, 5.4 was very fun. The contrast of D's unwillingness to compromise is a display of the more childish parts of his character. also i found Charles fun and the infinite logic loop fun. I'm 100% thinking that Bilge was meant to be the "bad cop" to Charles's "incompetent cop" act to get them to trust Charles's outrageous medical slavery requirement.
5.4 made me absolutely hate the coalition and I need a pallete cleanser of some good things happening
MATILDA PUPPY EYES HAS JUSTIFIED THE ENTIRE WAIT
I really crave a parody short of marcus explaining TF2 to the werewolves, like the locomotive bit
THE PUPPY EYES AREN’T GOING TO SAVE YOU FROM GETTING SLIMED MATILDA
Loved 5.4, all the characters had their own interesting unique personalities (For some reason I really liked Sluice Watergates Voice Actor) AA-UU~
It was a little irksome at first but it grew on me, and the funny faces really sold it.
The Inquisition Audiolog was exemplary, not least because it introduced us to the Greatest Paperwork Mage In Existence Him himself, Sluice WaterGOAT
5.4 was played twice a day, everyday, for MANY days in my house. outstanding stuff
I really enjoyed 5.4 and I see why it took such a long time to produce with so many characters, but was well worth the wait.
While I deeply enjoy the work done by the team, all of you are genuinely generational talents in your respective fields, I think the second inquisition audiolog had a single flaw that drew my attention away from the plot. The D-Family sold themselves with far too little pressure. Even considering what was at stake, I couldn't believe they sold Markus to G-Kontoret, that totally out of character when they literally called it medical slavery during the hunter huddle. To me, and some others, it read as the family looking at the obvious evil and just shrugging it off or straight up not caring when... They were being asked to sell Markus to the Swedish government? Still, I think you all nailed it in every other aspect barring pacing, if you had like, 5 more minutes, it would be excellent as narrative wiggle room.
When will we get 12 season spin off series following Herkenes Dragonblade and his extatic love of wargamersing minatures
My only note for The Second Inquisition is that the VA for that purple prick did TOO good a job at making her absolutely insufferable. thatanditwasabsolutelyawesomeanddroppedbeforeihadaninehourflightthankyousomuchformakingthateasiertoendure ANYWAY! Looking forward to chapter 6.1: The Name Pendining.
Honestly I adored 5.4 was also pleasantly surprised to hear Gabriel Ultrakill himself in it. My only complaint is I am impatient and can't wait for more! Keep up the great work I'm super excited for the grimalling and pt 6 :3
5.4 was a stellar episode, really widening the lens this series wants to use to convey its WOD story. I only wish Krycman got a little more to say, absolutely love his character so far.
I absolutely loved 5.4! It was a TREMENDOUS introduction to various parties making up the coalition. You all did a fantastic job with presenting the core values and base desires of each different group. It was both informative and enlightening!
If we get Puppy-Eyes Garou as an interrogation tactic, I’m going to die laughing on the spot🤣
I really enjoyed getting a whole new cast of people I get to hate for their actions and attitudes. The Coalition is SHIT. ALL OF EM. I'm hoping Occam has some kind of crazy plan like ceded the Chapter House and all its (non debt) assets to D in a redrafted divorce.
5.4 was incredible. Genuinely never figured I'd feel anything but hate for the leopoldites but. There's a part of me that likes Benedicte. I doubt this is going to go well with her but! Excite!
i thought 5.4 was harrowing and disgusting in a really interesting way. i think you guys nailed the nausea of working with any established group really of any kind
stellar work as always
absolutely *adored* the second inquisition audiolog! i know the term ‘edge of my seat’ is a cliche, but holy fuck, the twists and turns were genuinely incredible and I was terrified the entire time. it was yet another brilliant display of your ‘balance control’ - you know exactly how far to push it and how much to add. it immediately put itself as my second favorite audiolog behind the legendary 3.7 🧡🧡
Hel yeah, congrats on 500 thousand subs! Can't wait to see what's next with the hunter family and the wizard gang!
The Second Inquisiton episode was amazing by the way!!
Dudes, you seriously know that you were on fire for 5.4. Quit with the humility. It was great start to finish. It's also a great metaphor for sheer predatory nature of living life in a capitalist society, where every entity with power takes a larger piece of those in need for more and more and give less and less, tying requirements, hoop jumping, and worse for a pittance that barely addresses the needs in the first place. (also again, voice acting VG++++ 👍)
Can confirm. Was absolutely fucking infuriating and frustrating and saddening to watch this circular "negotiation" happen again and again as the family gets shafted progressively harder by reach group. Which is pretty much exactly what it should've been. Good stuff. I also appreciate Door's hatred nuking the entire thing. He was just trying to be as spiteful as he could while making a big assumption. He has no idea that they heard Wyrm instead of Worm, and marked him for death.
I did not know I needed Matilda Puppy Dog Eyes!
I AM SO EXCITED!!!
Congrats on hitting 500K subs! How it isn't at 1 Mil yet with all the effort you ogres put into all these amazing audiologs and animation I don't know, but I'm sure you'll get there eventually too! Until then, keep up the good work! 5.4 was fantastic and I look forward to what comes next as well!
Can't wait for the three hour audiolog about Kräkus
Congrats on 500 thousand ogres, that's more than the population of some countries. I for one am willing to back the poppenang sovereign state with my life
I will say, I felt some minor frustrations with how quickly the gang was willing to sell themselves up the river, and thinking for even a moment they’d be able to weasel their way out of the coalition. They need a massive reality check on what they are dealing with in regards to the coalition
They failed to listen to wernon fatigue the goat; i think they're beyond saving in this aspect. forget the hunter union or st leopold. Pentex wanted them, their children, and their future generations in exchange. Even with the hr rep bit that blair is doing, the food conglomerate is terrifying.
5.4 WAS SO FUCMING GOOOOOOOOD
Seconded. My only critique is that you hired Gianni and didn't give him a character that justifies doing the columbo voice. Pls find a way to hire him to do the columbo voice. Not as a main character or anything, just some one-off joke cameo where Chapman has a fantasy or a very unreliable way of remembering things. Or something similarly minimal. It would be true beauty
The hype is extremely real. So glad I saw this just before I was about to peel my fingers
6.1 will clearly be all about Togo, everyone’s favourite being. :^D
I can’t wait for the 2 hour log about Togo in 6.1
Nah bro, it's the Ballad of Apeboy!
I’m always excited for more Wizard Game and Grimal.
I am now conflicted RE: Matilda
Why is she SO CUTE!?!
Werewolf Puppy Eyes!!!!
