Update 02/28 - Humongous Thank Yous and Norfolk Wizard Game Chapter 4 Audio Release!
You really, REALLY came through for us.
I want to start this update laying on the ground prostrating before you in eternal gratitude. Last Update, we talked at length about the dire dollar situation and how it was affecting us.
Our support in terms of earnings had been stable and unmoving since the beginning of 2025, but the USD value had dropped immensely in the intervening time which had effectively slashed our budget by a truly substantial margin.
We went on to elaborate on our plans going forward to remedy this.

But, basically, we changed our default currency here on Patreon from USD to EUR, and going into the future, we were planning on releasing a State of the Ogre Update for YouTube where we would go through these changes and shoot for a call to action in order to get the sum in Euro up to the level of support we were at in early 2025, with the aim to get to 28,000 EUR in support.
To our bottomless amazement however, you here on Patreon, without us engaging with any other source, came in clutch.
You went out of your way to update your pledges, changed to EUR, changed tiers, and had us go from 24k EUR all the way up to 27.5k, only 500 shy from our initial goal.
And wow.
We did NOT expect this, as I believe we made clear in the last Update.
We were laying the grounds for making this a slightly more long-term goal.
But you blew our expectations out of the water.
The issue is more or less completely solved, we are genuinely back on stable territory again, and to be totally transparent, the stress and anxieties that have been endured during this period have subsided.
Immensest possible thank yous to all of you for helping out.
We have been sending out messages of thanks to everyone who’s been helping out.
Unfortunately, we have not gotten to all of you yet, nor have we gotten to re-respond to those who sent us a response in turn.
Just know that we wish to VIOLENTLY SHAKE YOU with appreciation like a RABID DOG.
Seriously, we cannot thank you enough.
But, instead of just using the same words over and over...
As a more practical way of showing our appreciation, how about we actually get back to work and do the thing you’re supporting us here for!

As of now, you are, in truth, our real lifeline, not YouTube.
So, releasing stuff here before YouTube?
Honestly, that's not harming our income. It is in all likelihood doing the opposite.
For as important as our channel is (I doubt you'd be without it...)
Prioritising You before YouTube is wise.
The version for YouTube will be released at a later date, once the visuals are fully completed.
If you prefer the visual version, we would only ask for a bit more patience!

We’ll also be releasing another audio exclusive next week, being the chronologically misplaced return of Marckus and Kitten’s wretched 2006 Gamer Podcast, but with a new twist…
It will begin their grand search for a real haunted video game.
As for, like, everything else?
Still in the process of being boiled and browned and stewed and cooked and oiled.
H:TP Chapter 6 is making great strides and is, undoubtedly, the best-looking thing we've made.
In addition, Chapter 7 is also picking up steam at the moment, with scriptwork and art making a kind of early progress we haven't seen before, with brand new ways to tighten up our pipeline making it in way better shape than Chapter 6 was at the release of Chapter 5.
In addition, audio has been started on the next Audiolog.
We're still catching people when they are available and recording lines (lots of characters in this one, with some 'cameos' from people you might be familiar with), but we're nearing the end of that process as well.
That will be that for now, though.

I have listened to this episode at least 10 times since you dropped it and I can confirm - the revelations of the botch and the walrus kigurumi never get old.
I don't know why but when we get hit with the:"you are now a wizard." I just imagined it zooming up right close to a picture of his face and the line being spoken with a hyper realistic mouth.

The vibe of parker while he is sketchin reminded me of Rohan Kishibe from jojo's bizarre adventure 4. His own morales, his own rules and very much focused on his own goal. Also, I want to give credit for the way Speaker D narrates these. He manages to somehow be both a chronicle speaker and a story narrator in a way that no one has nailed before. Parts of these legit feels more like audiobooks then a TTRPG play, which is very impressive.
I love me some Hunter: The Parenting but I am rather favorable towards Norfolk Wizard. I love people who have NO CLUE about the supernatural world suddenly getting dragged into it. Being mages is an added bonus because mages start off as one of the weakest splats, even imbued hunters can do more, but they have the gift of UNLIMITED POTENTIAL!
Fuck yeah man! By the way, "It will begin their grand search for a real haunted video game" reminds me of Hunter X Hunter. They had both the search for cursed items (nen-embedded, really) and a "cursed" video-game (again, really Nen). Maybe Grimmal could eventually come in and weeb out like I just did! Or maybe not. But I mostly wanted to say I find the "cursed item hunt" thematic really cool and am glad to see it in more media I enjoy!
