Discovering the new mobile Home feed
⚠️ Update: Patreon's new mobile Home feed has rolled out to all creators and fans. Learn more about Patreon's new network in our April 28th post, Go get discovered.
We’re rolling out a new Home feed experience in the Patreon mobile app. During early access some Patreon members may have experienced this new Home feed already, and now all members of Patreon for Creators will see the new Home feed experience in their mobile app.
This update is part of a broader set of early access updates that you may hear referred to as Patreon’s network bundle. The goal is to make Patreon feel more connected and community-driven by helping fans keep up with the creators they already support, while also making it easier to discover new creators and communities they’ll genuinely care about.
To dive more into what the network bundle is, how and why we’re building discovery on Patreon, check out this video from Patreon’s CEO and co-founder Jack Conte.
Our network bundle tools like Quips, collab posts and the new mobile Home feed are in early access (if you don't see them in your account, eligible creators can sign up for the waitlist by logging into your account and heading here.) Here is more information on what you and your members can expect in the new experience as more creators on the waitlist get access.
Below we’ll walk through what’s changing, what it means for creators and members, and how to stay in control of notifications.
The new mobile Home feed experience for members
If you’re a member of Patreon for Creators, you’ll see an updated feed experience in the Patreon mobile app when viewing the app in your member profile (if you're not part of early access to the network yet). This is what fans will start seeing if they don't see it already as we rollout the new Home feed experience.
This update is designed to do two things at once: help creators reach new audiences through discovery, while still making it easy for fans to find the posts that matter most from the creators that they already support.
Here’s what that means in practice:
Home feed is designed to help fans discover and browse. The Home feed will include a mix of public posts and Quips, including posts from creators you follow as well as posts from creators you do not follow. Posts from creators you already follow are prioritized.
A feed just for your memberships is designed to be the reliable place to catch up on posts from creators you already support. This feed is intentionally reserved for posts and Quips from creators you are a member of.
You can think of it as choosing your own adventure based on what you’re in the mood for: discovery in Home, or a more membership-focused view in Memberships.
A couple important notes:
This updated feed experience is mobile-only right now.
At this time on web, the feed remains a list of posts from creators you are a member of, and it does not include discovery content like Quips from other creators outside of your memberships.
As a member of Patreon for Creators, you’re getting an early access experience. This represents the experience fans will increasingly see across Patreon over the coming months as we expand early access.
Where Quips fit in
You may also hear us talk about Quips, which are short, lightweight public posts that can show up in the Home feed.

Notifications: what to expect, and how to stay in control
As new discovery experiences roll out, some creator actions in the app, like Quipping, can trigger push notifications for their members depending on their individual members’ notification preferences.
If you ever want to fine-tune what you’re notified about or help your fans fine-tune their notifications, member notification sections can be managed directly in the Patreon app by going to Settings → Notifications. You can also adjust Patreon notifications at the system level of your mobile device by updating your phone’s notification settings on iOS or Android.
We want members to feel in control as the Home feed evolves, and we want creators to have clear language they can use to set expectations with their audiences.
How to communicate these updates to your members
Here are a couple of templates you can use as a creator to share with your members as Patreon’s new Home feed and Quips roll out more broadly:
“Heads up: Patreon is rolling out a new Home feed experience. It's designed to help creators like me grow our community on Patreon and help connect fans with new creators that share common interests. If you want to customize what you get notified about, you can update your notification settings in the Patreon app under Settings → Notifications.”
“If you ever feel like you’re getting too many notifications, you can fine-tune Patreon notifications in the app, or in your phone’s notification settings.”

As a member, I would like the option to have the app open to the Memberships page instead of the Home feed. I don't always want to see more options and am coming to Patreon for one specific thing. The home feed adds an extra tap to get to my content that wasn't there before.
Hey there, thank you for sharing this feedback. We'd love if you could share that feedback here as well: https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/4413425955213-Submit-a-feature-request-or-feedback
Nice for me
Please give the option to go back to the old layout where your supported creators are all at the top to toggle between and jump to their specific pages. This new Home feed serves only to drive away the audience that made Patreon popular in the first place. We come to Patreon because we have control to support and only see content from who we want. This new Home feed force feeds posts and content from creators we do not have any interest in interacting with, and only buries the ones we come to this platform for, causing it to be nothing more than an inconvenience to use. Continuing with this Home feed will solidify Patreon becoming indiscernible from all other content creation platforms, and either drive the core audience that built this platform up to the next platform that takes over as what Patreon started as, or simply cause members to fade back towards the other platforms that you are trying to mimic either because of familiarity, better optimization from doing what you are trying to copy much longer and better, or again just choosing them over you on a coin flip due to how Patreon loses its uniqueness with every update like this.
Now the app looks alive! 🧙♂️
I don’t get the redundancy of Home and Membership. Membership shows me stuff from folks I follow, fine. Why do I have to also see the same stuff in Home? Engaging with randoms on home is also a little frustrating- if I try to like the quip just because of the quip itself, the feed gets flooded with a bunch of crap from that creator. If I’m interested I’ll just click through and follow them, sometimes a like is just a friendly like. Like others have mentioned, it does feel like a platform agenda algorithm is being shoved in my face. I’m all for discovery - and have read a couple of neat posts/discovered some neat pages because of it- but the way it’s handled now is pretty uncompromising. Telling us the solution is for us to just sit on our ass and spend our time blocking creators to not see them seems counterproductive and makes this feed rank up with Twitter and other garbage.
I like that we finally have a way to discover new creators and Patreon is a bit more like social media. But can we make our discoveries, pages, algorithms, etc., more customizable? Not having that control with the new feature sends huge red flags to me based on past social media company tactics
Hi Zachary, thanks for your feedback as we're working on ways to make the feed more relevant and customizable! For now while in early access, if you see posts and Quips from creators that interest you, we'd recommend engaging with them, if you see something you like, heart, reshare or comment, and as you engage with posts and Quips in the feed that will help improve your feed experience over time by making it more relevant to your interests.
Hi
The new home is just shoving political bs into my face. I come to patreon to GET AWAY from politics. I vote this be changed back OR give us a way to block posts with certain words from showing up in our "recommended" tab
And before anyone says "just press not interested!" That feature doesnt exist on IOS. Only android
