WIP #91

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the lack of updates, I'm still trying to get back to the routine of posting my usual work in progress posts. I want to thank you all who wrote something kind to me. It really means a lot that people who usually don't comment took their time to leave a couple of thoughts here. Sorry that I didn't respond, I wanted to spend less time on socials and then there were so many comments I thought I would thank everyone here in a post. I read every comment and they helped me feel much better so thank you!

Last week I continued working on the next set though I couldn't do it with full efficiency but I decided I would do something fun without overthinking it. At first I wanted to make a ladder for the bookshelves but ever since I started doing this collection there was a spiral staircase in front of my eyes. Sadly, we don't have spiral stairs in the game and I didn't want to make a full height spiral stairscase without it working so I made a deco library stepladder. It's not functional and it's a really niche item but I enjoyed making it and it adds a nice atmospere to our shop.

In continuation I plan to make a freestanding bookshelf that can go in residential homes as well, also some side table or coffeetable for the lounge area, some ceiling lights and of course the readable books.

Thank you again for everyone who's here, I appreciate it! I'm still thinking about what should we do after Quiet Corner. There's the Sunwoven collection or I can do something new. If I do something new that doesn't mean I won't continue the Sunwoven collection, I'm just in the mood for something else but I don't know what yet. If there's something you would like to see, let me know and maybe I can do a poll next time to decide what direction we should go.

The spiral stairs with the string lights are so charming! :D I can see this being used in a small cozy art gallery build too! I would love to see literally everything in your style! <3 Some of my personal suggestions though are 1. a slightly messy house with little details of things peaking out of drawers, purses and clothes hung on the back of chairs. Kinda like the Sloppy furniture from Animal Crossing, if you've played that! 2. a crafts room / crafty person's home. Maybe they have linens they've embroidered and knitted, their own handpainted ceramic items. Other things like a sewing machine, the classic cookie tin with sewing supplies, a lil pile of buttons and beads, other art supplies... lots of things that have that handmade crafty touch! :D 3. I think this style is a bit less unique than the other two suggestions but I happen to love the vintagey antique, yet farmhouse aesthetic of prettyinthepines on insta! Aside from the suggestions, I hope you are able to find something that really inspires you and ignites your creativity! :D

Thank youu! I'm happy to see your comment! These are really great ideas, I love the messy house one the most because it's really realistic. I also love the cookie tin! :D This artsy vibe would go so well with a cute cottage-y collection. When I'm doing something like that I'll remember these ideas. I think our taste is quite similar because I also like the vintage and farmhouse style.

It's very beautiful and acurrate! Please, do continue to make shops (or community lots) items: theres not enough of it in the wonderful world of Sims cc...

VALIA · March 26, 2026

Thank you! I will in the future, now I need some residential sets to work on because I don't want to be boring and I want to switch it up a little but I have some commercial lots inspired sets in my mind too.

very cute, work on where your heart takes you. you can go back to projects when inspired for better results. at least i know if i try to force it i get lower quality results and miss out on starting an inspiration that dissipates.

VALIA · March 26, 2026

Yes, I feel the same. If I'm not liking what I'm doing I even take much longer too, and it feels like suffering. Fortunately I haven't really felt that while doing CC, other than these last few weeks but in my job I often have to work on something I don't really enjoy. And in creative fields I'm working in it's much harder to force it. So I think I'll start something new and get back to Sunwoven later. I feel much more excitement about doing something new.

I love that staircase. I also wish they would bring back the spiral stairs. I used them a lot in my renos. I purchased your beautiful set from the Marketplace. You put so much thought into the pieces you made. Really love it. Do you plan to start a collection on there? Thank you

V
VALIA · March 26, 2026

I agree, I loved to use them in small builds! Thank you so much, I'm happy you like my set. I worked really hard on it and recoloring all the books for each swatch took such a long time! Right now I don't think there will be a big collection there like here, I was planning to make a few sets when I have time but not like a collection with more parts.

Ooooh!.. What a beautiful spiral staircase! What a wonderful idea you had! It's not functional but... it doesn't matter! It's like a sculpture. It's simply... beautiful! Thank you!

Thank you for your beautiful work, it's my most used cc in the game since you started. I want to know what your favourite styles are. You obviously love classic and countryside styles, but what are some styles from your favorite genres of books and movies? Is there something deep down you really want to work on?

V
VALIA · March 26, 2026

Thank you so much! My favorites styles the ones you can see here in my sets. I find the lived-in, cozy look the most appealing. I love Mediterranean, farmhouse, cottage style. In books I usually read thrillers, horrors, romance, I rarely watch movies but I like thrillers, animated movies, dramas, crime movies. Right now I feel a little lost on inspiration but I'll slowly find something that sparks something in me. Sometimes it helps if I have some base idea that I have to follow, like a style or an activity, a sim's personality etc.

Absolutely love all of the whimsical details in the Quiet Corner collection! I would love to see your take on an artist's studio space!

V
VALIA · March 26, 2026

Thank you! As an art graduate I would love an artist's studio but I always put the idea aside because I saw many great CC sets in this theme and I wanted to make things I was missing while playing. But I might do in the future something like that.

I love your stuff! Here’s some stuff I’d love to see, random ideas lol: -something coastal focused (brindleton, tartosa, and sulani) -more sectional couches with chaises that are simple, honestly just a simple life collection would be awesome -kids/infant/toddler/teen focused honestly maybe like sets based on each stage of life would be sick -more bathroom stuff! I loved arty bathroom

Hi! I've followed this page for several months now, I think your CC is some of the most beautiful available and I love the Sunwoven set. I am just curious if you will continue making sets for the marketplace? Your last post said you were feeling guilty over it and also wanting to be honest with us, but you didn't say whether or not you were continuing with it. I understand you may not have decided yet, just wondering.

M
MrsMorris99 · March 25, 2026

Why does it matter to YOU (and everyone with your shared mindset) so much whether or not they will continue to make stuff for the marketplace or not? does it affect YOUR playtime, your personal life, your pocket book? NO, NO and NO so why not mind the business that pays you, unlink your patreon or stop playing sims all together. You propaganda monsters are so stinking annoying it's unbelievable. Go ahead and comment back to me with your insults and hateful rhetoric bc that's what ppl with this mindset do but keep in mind, I DON'T CARE - you don't feed me, finance me or sleep with me but I do care about y'all harassing these creators when all they wanna do is create their beautiful art and make money while doing so. GROW UP (all of you). God bless

I like niche things and even though my Sim may not climb them, they certainly like to look at them. As for Quiet Corner, it is Five Stars great.

The sunwoven collection is probably my favourite set out of everything. I would love some matching french doors similar to the full length windows if your looking for ideas :)

I LOVE french doors!

I'm personally always on the lookout for rug / clutter / wall decor cc and your rugs are second to NONE. They really make builds feel homey, I use the rug from Cozy Cabin constantly. So a collection that included a couple rugs would be my dream regardless of theme! Haha.

V
VALIA · March 26, 2026

Thank you for the suggestion! I won't do a set with only rugs :D but I can keep this in mind and try to include one here and there when it makes sense.

I love all the work that you do. All your designs are stunning, and I use your pieces often. I don't know if this is something that you may be interested in designing in the future, but I would love to see a masculine industrial loft collection done in your style!

V
VALIA · March 26, 2026

Thank you! I had industrial in the back of my mind for a long time but I always found something that inspired me more but I like the idea. I rarely do more masculine, simple designs.

PlumMom Creations · March 24, 2026

I am always looking for more kid sets, especially toddler and infant room items! Bathroom content is always a plus as well!

V
VALIA · March 26, 2026

Thank you! I keep this in mind. I'm already gathering inspiration with these ideas.

M
Monica J Maxey · March 24, 2026

Lovely, just so lovely. Perhaps a few slots to set 'things' on the stair steps -- ? Maybe, won't be functional as stairs but could be a place for nice classy clutter.

V
VALIA · March 26, 2026

Yees, I was thinking the same. I tried to make the steps bigger to fit some clutter, I don't know though if I managed to make them big enough. But I was thinking on the top area there will be slots for stuff.

So beautiful!!! I look forward to these updates. I don’t know if any of these spark inspiration but thinking of similar quaint collections: a mom & pop grocery store set ; a dark academia dorm set; English Victorian house set.

V
VALIA · March 26, 2026

Thank you for the ideas! I really like the Victorian one but giving it a modern spin. I like dark academia as well but that one feels really autumny and right now I need some vibrance in my life. :D But I noted these!
