WIP #92
Hey everyone!
Here's my latest progress on the next set. As I mentioed I made a full seating set with a sofa, a loveseat and an armchair so they will be usable for living rooms as well.
With this set my goal is to create a cozy corner where sims can sit and read the books they bought so I wanted these to look really comfy. I added some decorative cushions too that will come in the same colors as the seating options.
What items I made
I made a small side table, and while my original idea was to go for a more vintage look, I didn’t want to make it too complicated and I think it's more usable like this. I made it a reasonable size and not too massive because I'm always in a need of a small side table.
Another new item is the ceiling lamp, and surprisingly, I spent a lot of time on the textures and transparency to get the look I wanted.
Last things new things are the wall panels and flooring. I already made the wallpaper earlier when I made the welcome desk set but I didn't have time to finish it but I thought I won't let it go to waste and include it in this set.
What's coming next
Lastly, some exciting news! I read all your comments about the direction of the new collection, and even though I had a few days of uncertainty, the idea finally came together in my head. I’ll tell you more about it later, but the overall direction is a renovated Victorian family home. The exterior will be more traditional, while the interior will be designed in a transitional style with a lived-in look. At least that's my plan now. I got inspired to make a family friendly home and some of you suggested kids, teen things so that's why I came up with this idea. And I'm sorry, but I'll make windows and doors for this collection too because I'm itching to do some Victorian inspired pieces. Thank you for all the suggestions it helped me settle on something that inspires me! Right now I know I want to continue with this new collection after I finish the last Quiet Corner set but I may do Sunwoven inbetween the new ones so we can continue that one as well.

Yay!! I’m so thrilled about the Victorian set!!!
Yay, I am too!! Can't wait to start it!
This set is gorgeous! I love the style
Thank you! ❤️
Love it! Can't wait to see your take on Victorian windows and doors. <3
Thank you! Me too, it has been on my "want to do" list for some time and I've seen a Victorian house a little ago, that was my sign to do the next set with this theme.
All of this looks so perfect! The ceiling light is so beautiful. I love how you can see the glow of the lightbulb softly shining through the glass. Very warm and enchanting! :) I'm super excited about the renovated Victorian family home concept!!! I cannot wait to see what you come up with and how you'll translate this in your amazing sense of style! :D
Thank you!❤️ I spent a good amount of time to find the balance with the ceiling's glass. I had a specific look in mind and for some reason I had to experiment a lot with it but I'm glad that I could achieve something that's really close to what was in my mind. I'm really excited too! At this point I feel I need something different and I think this will be it! I can't wait to start it!
pretty as always! Currently I´m lost into Pokopia so I don´t play Sims, but your new Idea sounds fantastic and is something to looking forward when the time for sims is there!
Thank you! I'm currently in my Planet Zoo era so I don't play Sims as much these days. :D
Oh! What do I see there? A chandelier, like a Tiffany one, matching the lampshade? I love, love, love... you!
Yes, I try to match the swatches in the same set so everything fits!
I live this! I can’t wait it to be available to download, I love this collection so much; I started to redesign all my shops and restaurants in the game with these items bc it looks amazing 🤩
Thank you! I'm glad to hear you make good use of these sets. ❤️
love this!
Thank you! ❤️
The ceiling lamp is beauuutiful!
Thank you! ❤️
So stoked on the new collection idea!! That's like EXACTLY the kind of build I want to make but can't quite get to with Maxis stuff alone, especially with that lived-in vibe you do so well.
Thank you! I'm so happy so many of you like this idea! I'm really excited to start it already.
Ooh the last part of this set is turning out so good. I grew up in Victorian house so I'm very excited for that set.
Thank you! ❤️ Yaay! Then you'll be my biggest critic if I'm doing the style justice. :D
Everything looks gorgeous! And yes please to a Victorian collection!! 😍 You have no idea how long I've waited for someone to get inspired by Victorian builds because I hate the textures and colours of the Maxis doors and windows, and they're so bulky too..... I probably haven't commented before but I love your style and became a fan the instant I discovered you ❤️
Thank you! I'm really happy you commented!❤️ I'm glad you like the idea! It gets me more excited to start this new collection! I agree, the older in-game items are a little dated and we didn't really get new items in this style since then. I'm really inspired by the stained glass windows so expect some of those.
While im so excited for the last part of this set and for a return to Sunwoven I cannot express enough how giddy I am for a series devoted to renovated victorians!
It means so much that so many of you like this idea! I'm way more excited about it reading all these supporting words. And I promise Sunwoven WILL return. :D Once the temperature rises I'll instantly feel the need to make something summery and that's Sunwoven is for! :D
Wonderful work
Thank you! ❤️
That sofa is gorgeous - I can see myself using that all the time
Thank you! I'm happy to hear that. I wanted to make it suitable in residental homes as well.
