I can’t get any of your Andor full reaction videos to play.
When we getting Rogue One??
Another comments said, most likely Sunday
When is Rouge one coming does anyone know did they say it?
Would love to see your reaction to Episodes 4-6. Episode 6 is when they finally deal with the emperor. If you guys decide to watch them - just remember they are sci-fi action adventure films and aimed for younger audience so the tone is very different. Would understand if it's not really your thing. Anyway, at least with Rogue One you will get a proper ending for Andor. 😁
...isn't that spoilers dude they don't know
I'm gonna post this comment on both reactions to this episode. I unfortunately haven't been able to keep up with the reactions at all, but with the last episode I wanna recommend a very relevant podcast called It Could Happen Here by the journalist Robert Evans, who's done reporting in countries undergoing a governmental collapse, rebellion, and revolution. They even recently did some episodes going over Andor S2! It's got useful information & guidance for anyone who participates in protesting & activism, mutual aid, or other activities. It focuses on America but a lot of information can be applied anywhere. The first series of episodes goes over different ways things could progress in America, a number of which are now happening, and ways to move forward into a better future. After that it moves on to having episodes with various guests discussing things like what people can do for themselves & others on an individual level & a community level, information security, organizing mutual aid groups & unions, guerrilla gardening & food preservation, ways people have succeeded or failed across the world, various skills, and current events etc.
Rogue One time!
Such a great show. Kinda more relevant than ever unfortunately. Lola, I think you should check out the Denise Gough interview on Zeteo, think you'd really enjoy it!
Nicely done. A beautiful finale. “Know your way out before you go in.” “You’re here with friends.” “You and Luthen would have gotten along much better than you think.” “May the Force be with you, Captain.”
Andor is such a beautiful show because it makes you rail against authoritarianism for two seasons and then say 'maybe democracy was a mistake' in the last episode lol
Just a heads up if you watch any of the original films be prepared for a VERY different vibe
Aah, yes, Lola meditating with a glass cup and a mouse in her hands in the thumbnail.
I wont leave any spoilers! The interesting thing about Rogue One is that the first half of the movie feels a lot like "Andor Season 3", while more or less the second half of the movie feels more similar to a (good) "Star Wars Movie". Rogue One gets now to be a very good bridge between this show and the first Star Wars movie, but this show DID make Rogue One a better movie. Before "Andor" existed, the first half of Rogue One had nothing about the "rollercoaster fun" expected by the average StarWars fan. It was dark, slow paced, full of dialogue, it was meant to build tension for the second half of the movie, and it did that, but many people me included felt that it could/should have had more time to develop that foundation. But it had "the thing" you liked about Andor, it had COMMON PEOPLE fighting, there were no StarWars heroes. Now thanks to the show "Andor", that same first half of Rogue One feels MUCH more emotional and alive for me, now I even KNOW many of those characters, who were unknown for me back then when I watched that movie. Which therefore I think makes the final act of Rogue One even much better than before. (Which therefore makes the beginning of the following Star Wars movie also a much better experience, now we really know what is at stake at the beginning of "A new Hope", because just like "Andor" did with Rogue One, the events in the next Star Wars movie also happen a few hours after the end of the previous one) All we had before Andor and Rogue One was the yellow text scrolling down at the intro credits of the first movie, which was supposed to let us know what had happened "before" , now we do have hours of previous character development and exposition, now we get to see why was Darth Vader so freaking angry at the beginning of the first movie 😆
Man I don’t think there’s been anything as anticipated as Rogue One is now in your Channel’s history. This has been an unbelievable journey we’ve been on and i can’t wait to see the culmination of Andor’s story in watching Rogue One. Love you girls 🙏🏾❤️
We want a rewatch of and watch of 4-6! You would absolutely love them!
(You would love Clone Wars and Rebels, too, but I'll take what I can get.)
Lola, your hair is amazing!
Thank you both for doing this series. It's been such a pleasure to enjoy it with you. At the end, you both agreed that it was a beautiful story. That's the only word I find to decribe it. Beautiful. Also, in your intro, you were discussing whether to use the word "we." That's the word I use. From the first episode, I felt the story was about all of us. Not just characters in a space story. We built this.
I have been looking forward to every episode of Andor as you have reacted to them -- and I have been so excited to watch you seeing the final episode. Without doubt, it was a powerful and moving show. And your reactions were equal to it. Thank you very much.
I cried with you while watching the episode. After being so invested in these characters, even the smallest interactions feel so weighty and emotional and this episode is full of them. Especially the montage at the end with the soaring music. Thank you for delivering the best Andor reaction on YouTube.
Andor 2x12 Reaction. 41mins of Lola sniffling LOL. Love it.
I've watched a dozen or more reactions of Andor and both of you are my favorites. The emotions of this show, you both get it. This is one of the best shows in decades imo. Not only is it outstanding writing, acting, etc but it's accurate and so relevant to the world we live in(unfortunately.) Thank you for sharing a spot on the couch(or floor, we're okay with the floor) while watching this amazing series. I look forward to your reaction to Rogue One(and many other series as well.)
The only thing I have against Andor is that it ruined the rest of Star Wars for me, because it raised the bar so very high. I couldn't go back to Mandolorian Season 3 after Andor Season 1, and I didn't even watch Ahsoka's own show, despite her being one of my favourite characters in Star Wars before this show. The Andor/Rogue One story throughline of Star Wars is by far my favorite. I have a vain hope that we see something of its quality again. Just a groundbreaking television show.
Having watched Ahsoka, I don't think you're missing out by skipping it, unfortunately.
This may be my favorite show, I have seen a few reactions to this, and hands down you two have done the best job. Maybe it's because you never grew up in the US so you didn't grow up with the propaganda we get all the time in the west, or you just have done a ton of reading, but your analysis is the best I have ever seen. That plus your level of empathy is unmatched. Thank you so much for that. A few bits of fun trivia (I don't know if someone has said this already bc I tend to avoid comments so I apologize if people have already said this).... The actor that played Kleya, she had only done theater, and this is her first on screen acting on. Not only did Diego Lina (Cassian) play a rebel, but growing up he was a Zapatista in Mexico(a far-left "rebel" group in Mexico). And the thing that surprised me the most, Denise Gough, the actor that played Deedra is from a catholic family born & raised in Northern Ireland and has always been very political, very left, very anti-imperialist, & very anti-fascist. It's funny because when you see her talk in real life she is the EXACT opposite of the character she plays. I recommend to anyone to watch her interviews. Again, great job. Thank you so much for this.
I think some notable exceptions to the "grew up in the US/west" brainwashing conundrum would be some of the Black and other reactors of color. Such a background tends to result in a more inherent understanding of the hypocrisy that undergirds the Murican/western ideological hegemony. Examples off the top of my head would be Struggle Nation and MaceAhWindu. Also check out these discussions on Anti-Empire Project, which includes one of my favorite people in the independent media sphere, Nora Barrows-Friedman of Electronic Intifada: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBCbdMooIP0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-1LFcdMa-s
One theory is that the stun grenade didn't have as much of an effect on Melshi and Cassian as on Kleya because they were still used to being stunned from the prison.
I was so happy to take this journey with you two. It's been a real pleasure reexperiencing such an amazing, important show.
Yessss I've been waiting for this all week!
