My Life Across The Multiverse With Mangekyo Sharingan 10
'Let's get this over with.' I walked toward the cave, organising my thoughts for what was about to come next.
Only to stop at the giant paw blocking over the entrance as Lash shifted over. 'Seriously?' My eyelids twitched at the Storm Monsuno sprawled across the hill like some oversized house pet
"Lash." One golden eye opened. I raised the core and twirled it in response. "I see you're not dead yet, so if you still want to stay outside, Move."
Lash stared at me. Finally, it growled before adjusting begrudgingly. I scoffed and walked forward.
"You know, you and Hershell would have gotten along just fine."
Always trying to test my patience with those two. The cave entrance loomed behind the creature, partially obscured by its enormous body. The interior was dark, but I could already feel the faint heavy breathing coming from within.
That was the reason I'd come here in the first place.
The walls on both sides were covered in jagged mineral deposits, while the floor was littered with old bones and the remains of unfortunate creatures that had apparently wandered into the wrong cave. I walked deeper, reaching into my robes as I took out scroll after scroll.
'Hmm ... Nope. Not that one.'. '.... That's not it either.'
'... That's the Orichalcum scroll ...'.
'My DVD collection. I should probably throw those out. Cyborg's portable interface module ... Oh yeah, I still have this.'
'Gold ... More gold. 3D organ printer. Schwozz's laser blasters ... Gold. .... Silver. My 2013 Ballon Dor trophy .. My phone ...' I paused. 'My phone?' I took it out quickly to confirm.
"... So that's where it went." I thought, turning the phone over in my hand. I had lost it in year two, roughly two years ago after my stint in the solo leveling universe. 'Does it even work anymore?' I pressed the paper button, not entirely sure what I expected to find.
My old photos for sure. Maybe the weather forecast from whatever world I'd stolen it from?
Not long after, the scene lit up with a loading screen.
"So it's not completely dead." My lips curled up to form a smile as I watched it show the standard logo. However, after waiting for a full minute, the loading screen still showed the same image.
".." 'Well, this would probably take a while.'
I didn't know whether the phone was broken or not, nor did I care.
After all, I had more important things to deal with right now. Hence, I temporarily shelved the phone into my pocket and continued rummaging through my gear.
'Potion ingredients .. Three enchanted daggers. That weird crystal from the world where everyone had superpowers. Birdarangs, sonic screecher ... Oh, the Hercules Method book. That one really is old. Kaiju battle suit. Healing potion. Healing orb. Berserk pill. Enhancer serum. Poison gas."
'An unopened bag of chips.'
I stopped.
"...Huh." It was probably several years old by now.
"Still sealed."
'Three Poké Balls.'
"...Empty."
I frowned."Why did I keep these?"
'Support gear .. Magic wand ... Oh, there it is.' I took out a black scroll that had held the core components for my soon to be made imperial arm. At the same time, I finally made it to the end of the cave. In front of me was a wide open space, dimly lit with a few special glowing rocks.
A massive creature lay curled against the back wall. Its body was covered in thick damaged scales and multiple wounds. Limbs bound by several layers of restraints I'd prepared beforehand. As for why it was currently asleep .. that was all thanks to a special vial I obtained from a novel world that could induce instant hibernation for a period of one week.
The danger beast clearly had no poison resistance to speak of.
'Meh. Bummer I guess.'
I unfurled the scroll and infused chakra into the seal. PUFF! A cloud of smoke erupted. Following which, a large cylindrical container appeared in my hand roughly the size of half my arm.
Inside lay a small, palm-length amount of what looked to be hardened flesh with a gray skin tone and bone spikes protruding out of it. I stared at the lump of flesh before me for several seconds and ultimately, let out a heavy sigh. "Yep. Bruce is gonna kill me."
Remember when I said I stole something from the Justice League? Yeah. This was that something.
For further clarification, meet Doomsday. An artificial Kryptonian lifeform, made through the fusion and experimentation of multiple dead Kryptonian bodies from the DC universe. Created for the single purpose of pure, mindless destruction. Or rather, this was just a small piece of its flesh I had managed to sneak away after helping the Justice League defeat the damn thing and prevent it from returning from the dead.
'Clark will probably freak out if he figures out what I want to do now.' There was no doubt that Bruce would lose his mind if he found out I did something like this. His reaction would be entirely justified though. But then again, to think I'd be using it like this was honestly something I hadn't planned for.
Shaking my head, I took out the second scroll and released the contents.
The materials required to create an imperial arm went beyond just danger beast materials and Orichalcum. After all, every Imperial arm was different and required different materials to achieve the final result.
Hence I had spent a considerable amount of time researching materials I felt would be necessary to achieve the vision I had in mind.
Dark Water, a rare, highly conductive liquid catalyst capable of seamlessly binding magical, biological, and physical energies. Beside that lay several containers of refined Shichiryu Bone Ash, high-grade Chakra-Conductive Steel I still had on hand, the Imperial Arm now turned Shingu known as Spectator, and the glowing fire heart of a long-dead dragon I had gained from a fantasy world.
Each played a crucial role to achieving success.
Dark Water served as the bridge between the various supernatural energies, allowing them to mix without rejecting one another. Orichalcum would form the primary binding metal, its supernatural properties giving the finished Imperial Arm a stable physical foundation.
The Shichiryu Bone Ash would provide additional structural reinforcement and help the weapon withstand the strain of whatever abilities it eventually acquired.
As for Chakra-Conductive Steel? That would serve as a medium for channeling my chakra through it. Primarily however, it would serve as the primary bonding mechanism, alongside a large amount of my blood to the Imperial arm as well as the first security measure.
All Imperial Arms possessed some level of sentience. Not necessarily enough to hold a conversation, but enough to accept or reject those who attempted to wield their power.
Koro, for example, had torn apart every Imperial officer who attempted to wield him before eventually settling on Seryu, who apparently possessed exactly the kind of twisted mentality he found acceptable.
The Demon Extract had driven countless people insane simply by drinking it until Esdeath came along and subdued it through sheer force of will.
Even Susanoo, relatively mild-mannered by Imperial Arm standards, had apparently remained dormant for decades before finally awakening for Najenda because she possessed... "the aura of a great general."
Whatever the hell that meant.
Basically, Imperial Arms were weapons with egos. And those egos apparently chose their wielders according to whatever bizarre metric happened to make sense to them.
Which was all well and good for everyone else.
For me? It presented a rather annoying possibility.
What if the damn thing rejected me?
'Hmph.' The thought alone made my eyes darken as I stared at the collection of materials arranged across the cavern floor.
Imagine spending months gathering rare materials from the world of Akame GA Kill, sacrificing the multi-billion-dollar superweapon I got from the Justice League, as well as all the effort I put into hunting down a Danger Beast specifically because its ability was perfect for my plans. And then the finished Imperial Arm looks me in the eye and decides:
"Sorry, we don't have matching qualities."
"...Quality my foot." There was no way I was leaving something that important to chance. So if an Imperial Arm wanted to develop a snarky personality, fine. But it was going to listen to me regardless.
To make sure such an absurd scenario never happened, I planned to infuse the weapon with a massive portion of my own chakra as well as my blood right in the middle of its creation. As they say, blood ran thicker than water.
As for whether this was a viable way to bypass a Teigu's sentient rejection mechanism, I didn't know for certain. But if flooding the forge with my own literal DNA and spirit didn't work, then surely nothing would. The original alchemists who crafted the First Emperor's forty-eight Teigu probably didn't use their own blood—either because the Emperor wouldn't appreciate his imperial arsenal being soul-locked to a random court scientist, or because they feared it would degrade the materials.
With Amenonuhoko on my side, I had no such worries.
If it worked, it wouldn't just guarantee that I could wield the thing; it would also serve as the ultimate security measure against anyone trying to steal it. After all, there was only one person in the entire Omniverse with my exact blood and chakra signature. Any other random bum short of reality warping trying to pick it up would probably get their arm vaporized or their mind fried.
Spectator didn't have as much of a crucial role as the others.
While the abilities of spectator weren't bad, with the Sharingan, I had little interest in them. After all, carrying a large headpiece with a giant eye on my forehead really didn't fit my style. Especially after being downgraded.
After all, which serious Uchiha actually had three eyes?
Ten tails Madara with three rinnegan. So why would I disgrace myself by using a third eye with such limited combat abilities? It would at most be relegated to being a souvenir in my junk collection, never to be used again. Since that were the case, it would be better to throw it into the mix and see what it would bring me.
And the dragon's heart... Well, that was there for a little extra insurance. A continuous, self-sustaining power generator to keep the weapon active even if I wasn't actively feeding it energy.
Then again, I wasn't sure I would need it. Regardless, none of those were the most important components.
My eyes moved toward the sleeping Danger Beast.
The creature I had captured wasn't particularly impressive by itself. It wasn't the strongest Danger Beast I'd ever encountered. It wasn't even particularly intelligent.
But it possessed something far more valuable. An innate ability called Mimicry. Anything it came into physical contact with, it could imitate.
The properties, characteristics, and fundamental nature of whatever it touched. There were limitations, obviously. Otherwise it would have already spent the last few years turning itself into a walking cheat code. But it would serve as a suitable supplement for the foundation, making any chances of rejection near non existent. Now how exactly did the piece of doomsday fit into all this you ask? Well ... Long story short, I was planning to disassemble the piece of alien flesh down to its base molecules, and use the ability derived from it as the metaphorical heart of my ultimate souvenir.
'That should do it.' I drew the last line of ink on the earth according to the knowledge I received of the ancient binding art. The next moment, a line of blood slid down my cheeks as I activated my Mangekyo Sharingan.
'Dismantle.'
