Shaddolands – Memories: Development Update
Hey folks,
Time for another little update on Shaddolands – Memories.
Work is continuing steadily, and I've now reached the stage where I'm bringing all the completed scenes together and looking at Part One as a whole, rather than as a collection of individual sequences.
And, inevitably, that's when you start spotting things! 😂
While stitching everything together, I noticed a few places where the transition from one scene to another didn't flow quite as naturally as I'd imagined when I originally planned them separately. Nothing fundamentally wrong with the story, but there were a couple of moments where it felt as though we'd jumped from A to C without quite enough B in between.
So... back to DAZ I went.
I've added a couple of new scenes and some additional renders to bridge those gaps and make the story flow more naturally.
Of course, that means I've managed to create more work for myself just as I thought the renders were finished. Apparently 100% doesn't always mean 100% in Shaddo mathematics. 😂
It does add a little extra development time, but I'd much rather discover these things now and fix them than release Memories knowing there are transitions that don't feel quite right.
This stage has actually been quite satisfying. For the first time, I'm able to sit back and watch all those individual moments we've been building come together into Mal's story. And some of the smaller scenes I'm adding now are helping connect those moments in ways I hadn't originally anticipated.
The destination hasn't changed. I'm simply making sure the journey between those moments feels right.
We're getting there, folks.
As always, thank you for sticking with me and for continuing to support Memories, Shaddolands and the wider TSU. Your support genuinely makes it possible for me to keep building this slightly mad universe of mine, and I appreciate it more than you know.
I'll leave you with a few more renders from Memories to keep you going.
Until next time...
Shaddo 🖤

Not completely Bob. For backgrounds that don't repeat or need 3D views, yes.
So, have you moved completely to AI now (coz that ain't Daz 3D)?
