So this is not about the EP but something you two mentioned about GLs. The kissing was not always realistic. I'm from the USA and was curious about specific behaviors (soft kissing, sniffing and such) of the characters, so i did some research. I learned about Thai monarch, language, and some relationship expectations. Today this YouTube content popped up on my feed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAJbdYk6tV8) and I think it explains some of the cultural differences most Westerners don't understand very well.
I think that the teacher having his own picture on his phone may both serve the plot and indicate a bit of narcissism. I was so invested in this show’s characters when I watched it for the first time, that I also needed something like Love Design as balance. I often watched reviews of Dangerous Queen, because I know the ending which reduced my stress.
One thing is for sure... Till now how a series (specially GL) shoud be made, the standard was The Loyal Pin, but now the bar has been raised to ClaireBell☺️
yeah cream didn't have any sort of crush on that teacher. she just wanted to study, she only wanted his help to tutor her for the olympiad, that's it. there's no indication at all that she had a crush on him. that phone that she left behind is the teacher's phone, not hers, she must've snatched it up before claire even cae to the school. i can't imagine her putting his gross face as her wallpaper. it's so fascinating how power dumbed down kae. she kept saying to not be scared of claire because claire is not as scary as everyone thinks because she wasn't the one who killed that man. HOWEVER, the reason everyone including fckass kae were scared of claire was literally because they have seen her go rabid on other inmates and guards and left them badly beaten up and bloodied so like??? kae wasn't thinking AT ALLL. she got a smidge of power and decided to throw out her thinking skills in return. lmao the way she got scared when claire made her bleed just a little, i was just sitting there thinking i thought you said to not be scared of claire???
There won’t be season 2 it’ll be a special episode instead and it seems like they started filming it two days ago ( I’m not lying btw lol )
To be honest, while it's a tough watch, I love this episode. Attar (Natty) does the most incredible job in her scenes, and the writing/directing doesn't shy away from the topic *at all*, but isn't gratuitous. It's just a bare-faced look at a horrible thing that happens to so many women. And it shows us EXACTLY who Claire is, how big her heart is, how she will do anything to protect the people she loves. It really fleshes out her character completely. I think more than anything, the way they handled this ep without sensationalising it is what takes this show from just being an excellent GL, to an excellent show, period. One note: they made a weird decision making the teacher his own phone background, but it's *his* phone Natty leaves in Mint's car.
This episode was a hard watch the first time and an even harder rewatch 😭 me and Dee are the same cuz I also went to watch Love Design after watching this episode lol it's definitely a great comfort show
Episode 6 is a very hard watch, but it needed to happen in order to show Claire and Cream's past, motivations, and justifications. Also, I really want to know why Kae is in prison. I feel like it has something to do with money laundering or something. Lastly, I love how this episode shows that there is light even in the dark places of the world to take a line from my queen, Lady Galadriel.
Same!! want to know more about why Kae is in prison lol
That’s not her phone it’s he’s. Sorry if I spoiled anything I thought it was clear.
I was confused about that too the first time i watched this ep, because i was so distracted by how horrible that scene was to notice him set up his phone or see Natty take it. I don't think it's a spoiler, i'm pretty sure we're supposed to know that. It is weird that he has his own picture on his BG, they probably should have put him with some students or something.
I was waiting for this reaction to drop so bad! It's probably my favourite (tied with ep5) because of how beautifully its shot and the story. I loved the backstory element and how they really give you context rather than just having her explain what happened. Like you said the parallels between Bell and Cream are really evident in this episode and why Claire has such a soft spot for her. Also the shower scene was beautiful, I loved how they didn't speak but you can still see the emotions in Claire and Bell. First time I watched it I thought Mable's acting in particular was phenomenal (at least in my opinion) - you can see how hurt she is for Bell but also how she sad she is that she wasn't there to protect her. Anyway...Just wanted to draw your attention to the phone Cream dropped in the car - it's the dead teachers phone, you see him set it up before he attacked Cream in this episode and it's shown in previous episodes that Cream has kept it in her bedside table but now the sister/Davika's character has it. (Ego trip on this dude to have his own profile photo as his phone wallpaper 🤮) Awesome content, you both are fab! Can't wait for the next one!
Ahhh yes, this episode is so gorgeous. That shower scene… 🤌🏻😭 We didn't realize it was the teacher's phone until later. Yeahhh him having himself on his phone wallpaper confused us lmao. Appreciate you so much for watching! Next one is going to be crazy 💗
