So at the beginning of the series Alphonse is 14 years old and both Ed and Winry are 15. Also isn't it funny how were not supposed to compare this to AOT but as of right now the stories are very similar. A couple kids go through some traumatic life event, they lose their mother and the dad is missing and we know nothing about him, what he's doing or why he's gone 😂
Ah we didn't realize that was their ages in the beginning! Ty Mango! and yes! we see so many similarities with AOT already
The first 8 episodes or so are very faced paced because they were cramming all the early content in to move onto the new stuff that wasn’t covered by the original faster

You can watch the ending, there is no spoilers in it. Winry is a neighbor and a childhood friend of the brothers. You need a circle to do alchemy, the military has it on their cloves or tatooed on their hands (see ep1), but Edward saw "The Truth" and was granted big knowledge of alchemy so he's able to use it without a circle. Alphonse can use alchemy, he does it in ep1, but fighting is just quicker for him since drawing a circle during a battle takes time.
