GAP The Series Ep. 10 | Full Length Reaction

I was going to rewatch GAP on youtube but then I thought I hadn't watched your reactions yet so I'll rewatch through your reactions. It's crazy how many legendary simps there are now compared to 10 months ago 🤧

Since you guys are coming to the end of Gap, i know you're looking at other GLs to watch. I've been suggesting Clairebell, but tbh, you're *gonna* watch Clairebell eventually, it's a no-brainer, it doesn't need suggesting. So instead, i was wondering if you would maybe check out Player the Series? Or at least the trailer? It's seriously an excellent series, but it's coming from a small company that doesn't have much juice tbh, and they desperately need some love. Quality-wise, i'd put it somewhere around Pluto maybe, definitely higher Affair. It's about a Thai girl living in NYC who gets scammed for a visa and loses a million bhat. Some gangsters are after the guy so he goes back to Thailand. She goes looking for him and tries to find him by fake-dating his sister, but she falls for the sister. It's more comedy than drama, even though i was bawling all of last ep . The main characters have such good chemistry, and they're both great actors too. I think they're just unlucky with when they started airing, the market's kind of saturated at the moment, and this is the company's first show and they hired complete unknowns (literally, the actors only have 5k and 6k followers on x, it's crazy). That and they decided to put the uncut version behind a paywall on Iqiyi, bad marketing for a first show. But the cut version is free on YT. Anyway, they just aired ep 7 of 12, but by the time you finish Gap it'll be pretty much finished. So check it out if you have the time?

It is my understanding Song committed suicide in the books. I still haven't found the books in English where I can find them.

Thank you for pointing out Freenbecky's authenticity, because that's how we feel when we watch their movies, series, interviews, etc. It's so genuine and cute. I can't wait for the Loyal Pin reaction :)

Song *did* die in the books, but she didn't die in a car accident. She hanged herself because of the pressure put on her from the Grandma after Nueng left :( Also, yes Nueng is definitely just as harsh in the beginning of Blank lol. She softens a lot later though. (BTW, even though the girl who plays Nueng in Blank spells her name Faye, it's actually pronounced Fai (rhymes with eye). It means cotton in Thai).

I think one thing that is really important to remember during these last 3 episodes is that different people have different values and priorities, and it's shared values that make relationships last. Cher and Risa value love (for each other) and honesty above everything, but Mon and Sam aren't that couple. They value honouring and respecting their families, and doing the right thing, above everything else. We see it every time Sam's Grandma and Mon's parents show up and they fold to them, we see it every time Sam crashes out about Chin being married, and the insane guilt that Mon feels towards Kirk for having an affair with Sam that leads to her lying to Sam for him. Their relationship is a wild deviation from their beliefs, so when they come against obstacles like the age difference, socio-economic difference, or their family's objections, they really take those things to heart. Most of us watching would want them to tell everyone to fuck off so they can be together, but ultimately, that's not who the characters are.

I’ve been waiting for your GAP reaction. I watched the series a lot of times. Freen & Becky really has great chemistry on & off screen. Can’t wait for the last 2 episodes and the Loyal Pin reactions 😆

I’m waiting for your GAP reaction every thursday so eagerly, lol! I don’t know how you could manage to do it, but there’s actually an uncut version of their lovemaking scene in the next episode — and I don’t want to sound greedy, but it’s really worth watching! The music and the whole atmosphere hit so differently compared to the released version. I really hope you’ll check out the director’s cut (there’s an HD version floating around on TikTok somewhere)! FreenBecky are really something different from other Thai GL couples. I mean, the size of their fandom alone is proof of their chemistry and how sweet they are together. I’ve been a fan for only about eight months, and even though I’d watched a few GLs before GAP, I completely fell in love with them and then when I watched Loyal Pin... that was it — they totally ruined me for other GL couples! Cher and Risa are actually the characters from Mate the Series, but they changed the names because they did not have the rights to the novel. Both GAP and Mate are in the same universe book wise. Affair is also from the same Author.

Fun fact (well, not really fun lol) : Becky and Freen actually had a 3 days fight during the beach scenes (we actually witnessed their fight on social media), and they made up while filming, Freen posted on twitter a sweet message to Becky with a photo of her on the beach. So their kisses, tears and their engagement hit so much harder knowing they reconciled at this moment ^^

Unfortunately song committed suicide in the book so of course they are definitely going to change that for the series… Also the beach part of Freen and Becky actually had a disagreement in real life where they didn’t speak to each other for a couple days… So they actually made up during filming that time of the beach scene So the POV video & pics was basically them loving each other bcuz those kisses and everything definitely weren’t in the script 😂 Anyways can’t wait for next to EP’s with you girls. It’s a emotional roller coaster lol so hang on 😩 I cry everytime 😭😅
