Castle of Vice – Alpha 0.5.2

This patch for version 0.5.2 fixes an issue and introduces a couple of new things.
Let’s start talking about the fix.
Fixed: Activating the effect of the state ‘Last Mercy’ or the ‘Lion Will’ equipment will result in the combat loop freezing.
As for the other things, the first one is that now you will see in the scene backlog, the text for Annelise’s dialogues during erotic sequences. This way, you can read what she is saying and have a record of it in the backlog window.
I wanted to add this in 5.0, but I didn’t have the time to fully finish it, so I have been working these couple of days to implement it and share it.
The second addition is more technical.
When Annelise receives an erotic attack, the game runs a calculation using a few variables to determine if an erotic attack results in a positive or negative attitude experience; one of these variables is the ‘BreakthroughBonus’.
BreakthroughBonus will always be 0 unless the total sum of levels of all body zones – mouth, breasts, etc – is equal to or greater than X number. (This X number is set differently in each attitude level. For example, for resignation, you need 150 total levels to reach the bonus.)
For clarification, this bonus doesn’t guarantee a positive attitude experience, but it helps get them more consistently.
This bonus is the reason why some of you may have seen that attitude go back and forth from rejection and resignation. This was the intention; I wanted to reflect Annelise's unconscious struggle against the corruption.
However, there is a problem. The way Breakthrough works in 0.5.1 limits your choice of what body zones you level up. Because if you want to play a game in which you just focus on maxing out two body zones, well, you will have an incredibly hard time reaching high-level attitudes.
So, starting with 0.5.2, the BreakthroughBonus has been scrapped, and instead, the bonus that you get from sensibility has extra checks implemented to make up for this change.
