functional stroller for infants
this mod adds a functional stroller, allowing sims to go for walks with their infants.
requires ep 'growing together' (sadly)
requires lot 51 core library
huge credit to waronkcc and their mod functional stroller. i would never be able to make something like this without their work.upd. march 7, 2026:

upd. feb. 14, 2026:
- the wheels now rotate;
- transition animations between sitting and lying in the stroller were slightly improved;
- i also updated my mod “playing with toys on highchairs and cribs”, so now toys can be used on playmats as well, and therefore in the stroller too;
the stroller works as a combination of a playmat and a bicycle.
there are six colors:
- can be placed in the inventory.
- model reference: anex flo stroller.
adult interactions
when clicking on the stroller as an adult sim, you’ll see the following interactions:
this is how the stroller walk starts:
"walk around with baby" outcomes:
a buff during the walk;
small social and fun gain;
small parenting skill gain.
returning home after the walk must be done manually:
grab the stroller handles and click on the ground near your home, then choose "go here with stroller".
if you want the baby to stay in the stroller after the walk, it’s recommended to pick them up and place them back into the stroller again (to refresh the baby’s position).
infant interactions
when clicking on the infant while they’re in the stroller, you’ll see the following interactions:
while moving, the infant can sleep, 'look around' or 'play with toys' (using this mod).
the look around interaction is added by me to all playmats.
it uses animations similar to 'look at toys', but works like 'tummy time'.
ideally, when you start a stroller walk with an adult sim, you should also start look around for the infant.
look around outcomes:
milestone progress;
strong social and fun gain;
a buff during the interaction.
the biggest issue of this mod is that sometimes the infant doesn’t attach to the stroller
when the sim starts walking, the infant may stay in place. this happens randomly and i don’t have a guaranteed fix. sometimes picking up the infant, hugging or kissing them helps.
the most effective solution: sell the stroller and buy a new one
other important notes/issues:
the infant can sit in the stroller, but the animation looks off. i recommend keeping the infant lying down during movement;
during the walk, another parent may automatically pick up the infant. to avoid this, i recommend using look around while walking;
sometimes (especially on speed 3) the sim may visually freeze inside the stroller and not play the walking animation. sadly, i can’t fix this for now. restarting the interaction helps.
it’s important to understand that the walking animation itself doesn’t look good. this is partly due to my current skill level and partly due to game limitations.

the second file is an override of several infant animations and infant asm postures.
i also overrode the interaction “sleep on stomach” to disable it on playmats. this file is required for the infant to stay in the stroller during the walk and to look correct in it.

Hello. First off I want to say that I love your mods. I think I have almost all of them in my game. They make the game so much more realistic and I love that. I do have a question though and I am aware that somebody has already asked you this question but I can't find the comment to read your answer so I figured I would ask you again. Is it possible to make this work for toddlers, as well as twins? My sim is a single mom of twins and I just like having the strollers for naps if I'm outside with them but it would be nice to be able to put them in one instead of having to have two in my inventory.
Why does it require growing together if you dont mind me asking? I saw something about it was "converted from the bicycle object" and I have bikes in my game so the fact that I dont have growing together and cant use this mod with out it is confusing to me :(

This seems to be converted from the bicycle object. I noticed that whenever my Sim needs to travel a long distance, they'll autonomously pull out a stroller, even if they're not even taking a infant out.😅
yes, it was originally a bicycle. what you’re describing is sad, I tried to remove that behavior, but apparently it didn’t work completely( I’ll try to experiment more with the stroller. could you please tell me, does this definitely happen with one of my strollers, or do you also have waronkcc’s mod and it happens with their stroller?

I guess EA is having troubles with bikes also. My sims suddenly do not own they bikes and then i can't use my bike. I guess if that is the problem with toddlers? :D idk just rembered while reading this

I'm trying to use this in my game, and the adult sim walks off with the stroller while the baby is left floating in the air where the stroller once was. This has happened both times I've tried the action to take a walk with the baby. I have some screenshots but don't see a way to post them here.
I am also having trouble with them not returning back home with the stroller... they tend to leave it somewhere else in the neighborhood, then each time I tell them to return home after retrieving it and putting it in their inventory, they toss it back down and walk off without it.

I tried it and I’m impressed, as always! It already looks really good, even at this stage. I know it’s only a small detail, but the only thing that bothered me was that the wheels don’t rotate during movement, as you mentioned above.

This mod is amazing and a lot less buggy than other stroller mods! Honestly the attention to detail with the cute interactions and buff are just amazing! Thank you for all the hard work! As for the bugs you mentioned I actually didn’t experience any at all when on my home lot as long as the infant was laying down and looking around (which is so cute btw) but when I took my sim to the park I experienced the big where the infant stays in place other than that it worked perfectly for me! Thank you again 🤩 💕
