put your infant in a crib or high chair, or your toddler in a high chair, and you’ll see a new interaction: "play with toy". you can pick any toy from their inventory, and your baby will start playing with it.
upd. feb. 14, 2026: - i updated the mod and now it requires lot 51 instead of xml injector; - the interaction is now also available on playmats, which makes it compatible with my other mod, functional stroller. infants can now play while the stroller is moving (the interaction appears when clicking on the infant).
- if you have ep 'growing together', infant interactions will now appear not only when clicking on the object (crib or high chair), but also when clicking directly on the infant.
infants can play in cribs while sitting or lying on their back.
if you have the "growing together" expansion, infants need to unlock the grabbing milestone to use this interaction.
playing gives a strong fun boost and adds this moodlet to your baby:
there’s also a small surprise - a secret moodlet with a 20% chance to appear after the interaction ends :)
the mod also works with my invisible high chairs. you can place your baby anywhere, on a kitchen cabinet, table or bed, and let them play while you do your own thing nearby 🧡
Literally have downloaded almost all of your mods! They make the game so much better!

Hello! I think this Mod has broken. The option does not appear for infants no more after the November patch.

Hello. I have a problem: the mod simply does not appear in the game. I looked for the ‘play with toy’ action and clicked on the child and on the toy in the inventory, but nothing happened. My friend has the same issue. I reread the post several times, but maybe I'm still doing something wrong?

I'm so happy my babies can finally entertain themselves while in highchairs, cribs and other things that contains them instead of being upset and wanting to be free.🤣LOL I LOVE your mods~! Could you one day do like nap with toddler(like how you have nap with infant) and read to toddler(like a different animation or a whole new one IDK, the original is boring)

thank you for the sweet comment! i also really missed this kind of interaction in the game ❤️ about similar mods like take a nap or lap interaction, unfortunately the game doesn’t allow adults to sit while holding toddlers without throwing errors, so i can’t really make that happen( but i do have something in the works that (i hope) you’ll definitely enjoy… 🤪
