computer animation override
upd. june 25, 2025: now works with the new add-on that lets you change animation type for each sim individually.
upd. may 26, 2025: picnic tables will now use the default sitting animation when using the computer; fixed a bug that could sometimes show up during video gaming.
this mod replaces default computer sitting animations with two relaxed poses — one for each frame.
the override affects all computer actions.
age groups: teenagers to elders.
all transitions are smooth.
the new animations only show on desks and dining tables — bars and kotatsu use the default.

i tried to choose the most compatible pose possible, but keep in mind it won’t look perfect on every seat or body type. i really wish it did :(

This mod or the desktop animation mod (not sure which) conflicts with the Gameplay Rebalance Painting mod by Zer0. Just thought I'd put this here in case anyone else was getting LEs like i was.

Hi Simkatu, first of all thank you so much for your awesome animations!! Just so you know, this animation override conflicts with Zero's "Painting Gameplay Rebalance" mod - when a sim tries to use computer and join the PlumbArt community, the action resets and LE occurs. Zero was also notified about this ;)

Hi :) I love this mod and all the other animation overrides. it seems to conflict with Zero's "Job Finding" Mod. when we try to do computer interactions related to that mod, the sim resets and causes BE exception alerts

Hi @simkatu, I found this mod conflicts with Cumshine. I'm getting various posture errors when both are installed. Here's how to replicate it: Click on Computer > More Choices > Spoo > "What is this?". (Boom, you'll get a bunch of exceptions.)

Would you be able to fix this for floor seats? My sims hover instead of kneeling now. Will you make an override for them or is there a solution to this? Thanks!
hi! could you clarify the issue a bit? do you mean that when your sim uses the computer on a kotatsu table, the animation plays like they’re sitting at a regular desk, sort of floating above the table instead of kneeling? i just tested the file in my game and didn’t see that happen. the animation looked correct. do you know if it happens with a specific computer interaction, maybe? that info might help me figure it out!

I rlly love this mod but I'm not sure if it does work with cc chairs or not because when I use this either the hands are in the desk and the main thing there backs go through the chair which isn't pleasant 🫠😭😭 ao does this update possibly fix that? 😁
i understand! unfortunately, this is a general issue when creating custom relaxed overrides in the sims 4. even on some ea items, my pose can look a bit off. the default sitting pose in the game is very simple, and sims don’t actually “check” if there’s a backrest to lean on — that kind of system just doesn’t exist. my mod only replaces animations, and i tried to choose a relaxed pose that would look okay on most ea dining and desk chairs. sadly, there’s not much more i can do beyond that(
