This is the update of the School Breaks mod. Read THIS before to understand how it works.
What's new?
First, I fixed a bug where the interactions appeared on the décor items. Now, they should only appear on computers and phones.
Instead of assigning a number of break days at the beginning of each season, you can now specify the start and end dates of breaks!
How to do that properly?
IMPORTANT! First, assign the start to correctly assign the end later. If you enter the start and end incorrectly, the school breaks will not work.
Obviously, the start day should be an integer between 1 and the length of the season minus 1 in order to have at least one school break day.
Click 'Confirm' and return to the menu via 'Cance' button.
Now, go to 'School breaks end'. Naturally, it should be an integer between school breaks start + 1 and season length. The end of the school breaks is included as well.

It only conflicts with break-related mods because they all do the same thing. You can use it with the Education Overhaul by Adeepindigo; just don't use the school holidays module.

In the beginning of the post. This version is outdated
Like... How amazing is this mod not!! Less then a week ago, i was wounding how i could make school vacations without having to place a holiday for each day. This solves everything!! Thank you so so so much for this one \o/
I am not sure if I am doing it right, so my seasons are 21 days. I want the break to be on first week of the winter. I input start number on day 2 and end on day 7. But somehow it keeps telling me academic breaks are happening now when I am on winter day 11 in the calendar. So I am confused if I am doing something wrong or misunderstanding the instructions.
That's a notification bug, don't worry, I know about it and a few other things and testing the updated mod at this moment. If everything is fine, I'll release the update in the next few days

Hello, thank you for this mod (and other school related ones, they've made my gameplay so much better) ! I tried setting the days for the school break to start but i got a notification saying "school breaks can't start on day ." I double checked to make sure it was between the days of the season (mine is 28) and my sims still have the "in school" trait.
Hi, can you write me which values you have in the JSON file? Also, did you try resetting the mod? This notification usually happens because of the input not being a correct number

Hi! I have a question... Well since they are on school break, the afterschool activity still active. I wonder if it could stop this too, or i only should quit. But if i quit will i loose all the progression? So is it possible to pause also the afterschool activities or its n ot necessary? Thank you
Hi! As far as I know, there is no way to disable afterschool activities temporarily ;( But I'll think about freezing the progress if you skip it on school breaks

Hi, just tested it, everything works fine. Make sure the script is placed no deeper than one subfolder. Or, maybe you have old files
for school breaks, does it override the one that exists in adeepindigos mod? because i had an instance where i set up the break with your mod, then it started then a day later it announced that the child was on holidays and gave an option to go to summer school?
It's compatible with that mod. If you want to attend the summer school, then just enable summer as a school season in the settings. Otherwise, assign breaks days or disable summer for attending the school.
Sorry for the dumb question, but when updating & removing the old version, do we delete the old json file too and let it repopulate? Or leave it?
Yeah, remove it as you need to set up new fields. No worries, it's not stupid!

No, university has a unique system and doesn't have features to adjust the schedule. Besides, it's a fragile system and you should avoid touching anything there

Sorry, I didn't see your question. Any after school activities cannot be disabled at all, neither by the holidays or this mod
