Actually I feel sorry for my teens and kids because, you know, they study all year long. But what about school breaks? Even D Student deserves it, come on!
With this mod you can adjust break days for each season (or mark entire season as a school break – the best option for Summer!).
SETTINGS
If the season is marked as a school season then you can specify how many school breaks your students have. Otherwise, entire season is a school break.
For now breaks are applied on the beginning of the season. But in the future I will update it so you'll be able to specify breaks start and end dates.
BY DEFAULT, Summer is entire school break, other seasons don't have school break days.

You can adjust it with your child/teen active sim selected via Phone or Computer:

Also there are cheats that allow you to start and finish endless school breaks – so they run until you turn it off.
Keep in mind, that finishing endless school breaks don't mean your students don't have ordinar school breaks – it just removes a special cheat status.
Also you can reset your settings to default values.
NOTIFICATIONS
For your convenience there are helpful notifications so you know what's going on.
HOW DOES IT WORK
When a day is over the mod runs some scripts to check whether or not upcoming day is a school break. It usually happens at 1-3 AM.
If today starts school breaks you'll be notified and ALL children and teens in your active household will receive a special trait.
That means you don't need to adjust it for every student in your game! Regarding to other households, just switch to them and once they are active settings are applied for them as well.
If today isn't a school break anymore then this trait will be removed from all students.
Keep in mind that all settings/cheat modifications run the next day so don't expect school breaks just immediately. If a sim is added in the family after the script running then their school breaks will start the next day as well.
Also the mod doesn't require game restarting BUT if you change season length the settings will reset to default. Don't worry, you'll be notified if you forget it.
WHAT ABOUT EDUCATION OVERHAUL COMPATIBILITY?
This mod implemented that way that it's compatible with ALL custom schools included in Education Overhaul mod by Adeepindigo.
Even school breaks module is compatible – just don't select summer break when you'll be asked about that. Instead, select summer school and then this mod runs school breaks.
WHAT ABOUT OTHER SCHOOL MODS?
I like Ilkavelle's Magic School so this mod is compatible with her mod as well. It doesn't say that your student has a school break but the start day will be delayed.
If there is a custom school you want to have school breaks then write in comments! I might include it too.
HOW IT WORKS WITH TIME RELATED CHEATS?
These cheats can bug game time so the script may run the wrong time. But it will correct after a while.

Could this be made to give the breaks to adults in the teacher career, also?

I noticed that there may be an issue with this mod. I can't set the spring break begin or end time. Trying to set the start pulls up a window to set the start time for Summer break, and the end time window won't pop up at all.

Does this mod work with college as well?
You mean with the Discover University? It has a very specific system that doesn't support any days off

there is one that has a double name i dont know if its spring or summer it doesnt match up with the season name properly.
Where exactly you see the double naming? On which settings dialogue? Also I used seasons icons in settings so you should know which season you are adjusting
