Elementary School Management for Go to School (Preview)
Choose Go to School (by Zerbu) classmates and school stuff. Also there is a module for a second cafeteria worker.
Remember my Choose Grade School Classmates mod for Go to School? I remade it!
Main module
To set up a school, click on the mailbox and select the 'Elementary School Management' category. You can assign not just classmates, but other roles as well: Teacher, Principal, Counsellor and Janitor.
You can't assign Guest Speakers because they aren't just random sims but rather successful careerists with 10 Level in their career field.
In each sub menu category there is an Assign option. If you already assigned sims for this role you can also Remove them.
To assign sims for the role, click on Assign <Role Name> and then select the sims you want.
ATTENTION!
By default, Go to School uses 7 students besides your sim so this sim picker menu allows you to select up to 7 children. However, a number of students can be changed through Go to School Settings on the mailbox. Click on the mailbox with the adult sim and adjust the number.
You can also select more classmates. Just assign 7 students and click Assign again to add another group of children. However, don't assign more sims than necessary, as they will appear randomly each day.
For school roles, you should only assign one sim.
Actually, assigning is not required. If you don't mind who your elementary school janitor is, then don't worry about it. They will be generated when your student goes to school, just as they would be without this mod.
Second Cafeteria Worker
If you're fed up with long queues of children waiting for their lunches, try this module. It spawns two cafeteria workers instead of one, so simply place an additional cafeteria station.

Spawn control mods may cause improper behaviour. However, this is unlikely because this mod is intended for another mod, not for EA's sim filters.

Do I have to buy the school lot to be able to make this her career?
No, and you can't buy it anyway, because it's limited by the Go to School mod
The option to follow my child sim to school hasnt been popping up since i installed the mod. I have like 15 classmates. Also, my toddler recently became a child so i'm assuming it isn't possible to have two active sims in the same household going to the elementary school? (i have a ton of sims who are in 'my households' section is that ok? i dont play as them though only my main household with two active children) what's the work around? thank you
All issues you have are about the original mod, they have nothing with mine. You can't follow the child because you didn't install the elementary school correctly. And yes, it's the original mod's limitation. you can't follow several sims
When it was time to go to school, there was no pop-up saying 'join' like there is for high school, so i had my sim manually travel to the elementary school lot. When i got there, there was no goals ui to complete things like there is in high school. Also, all the classmates followed eachother to one classroom even though there are 2, and they all stood in the classroom and their little sim bodies started bobbing up and down weirdly! i have 21 sim children in one school, and i don't know why everything is a mess lol. Do you know what it could be?
1. Most probably you did set up a school lot incorrectly. It is not considered as the Elementary School by the game. You didn't meet some requirements for this lot. If you don't have this option at all, you didn't install Venue Changes mod. 2. You can't manually travel to start the event, only with join dialogue. 3. There is only one class in the mod so you can't assign students for two classes
In my game the category for selecting students and staff that should appear in the mailbox is not there, i can only change the number of students. Do you have any suggestions as to what I might have done wrong?
Probably, you click on the mailbox with an adult sim, not with a child. I guess so because the number of students interaction is unavailable when an active sim is a child. Make sure to click with a child sim
Question about what's required since I use basemental's venue list I would only need the changes to existing venue and the high school add on or just changes to existing venue list? Is it possible to have a high school and elementary or only one school at a time?
It's a completely different venue, not a high school overhaul. Please, read the instructions for the original mod, Zerbu described how to install the mod
