Noo i cant watch it😭😭😭 Did i get taken down?😢
No???
First time in here. Usually watch your stuff on tik tok. Very cool of you to put these up for free. I think you’ll love this show. Jjk is better than the down players say but I think it’s less your style and a lot more of a typical anime. ATLA is very good too
Oh if you love Vinland, I have some great recommendations for you. March comes in like a lion, The Great Passage, Journal with Witch, Frieren are all slower, and honestly beautiful shows
I'm so glad you started watching it! I really think you're going to love this one. It's highly resistant to the trap so much anime falls into of becoming all action with no substance. Storytelling at its finest!
i actually do think you'd really like jjk, cause while i do think the story can feel a little basic, it is very heavy on theming and i think when you watch it and pay attention you can see how it is a really good critique on a conservative society
If we throwing out votes on things for you to watch, my vote goes to ATLA or Frieren. I think you would love these shows
I'm sure you get a lot of show recommendations but personally I think you'd enjoy Neon Genesis Evangelion (plus End of Evangelion the film that came out after to end the show), its a very character driven action show with deep emotional and moral explorations and a mystery element to it as well. There is also the films: Evangelion 1.11, 2.22, 3.33 and 3.0+1.0 known as 'rebuild' which came out much later and are worth watching after the main show and film if you want more.
I've only got a few episodes into Vinland saga myself and it'll be interesting to see if this prompts me to continue. I was surprised by how quickly you said you were 'in', as for me, the opening of this show wasn't really anything special.
honestly feel like you’d like mob psycho 100 a lot even though it likely won’t be similar to anything you’ve watch before. Even within anime it has a unique art style and storyline. Would definitely be one of those shows that heavily grows on you. Other than that maybe something like cyberpunk edge runners or even death parade
Death Parade is a great shout!
My predictions are that aot is gonna stick with you the most, vs is gonna be your highest acclaimed show but dn will be the show you enjoy on an episode by episode basis the most
I feel like this show is either gonna be ur favorite show on your anime journey or second favorite for sure. It blends realism and with its medium of anime so well.
Yes my favourite feminist story
Would love to see you watch ATLA on this channel and give your thoughts!
I don’t mean to criticize anyone’s taste in any way but I do not think you will enjoy jjk and I don’t even think it is comparable with other shows you are watching. Action is fun, animation is amazing and it is a good time, but the plot is extremely simple. You could argue that watching the edits is as good as it gets.
Hidden inventory alone clears death note tbh I hope you guys will be able to see how overrated it is on this rewatch
These first two episodes were released back to back as a special with ads between, the show takes a slow pace but these two are definitely more of a set and it finishes a bit suddenly here.
some of the characters in this show are taken from actual people in history. Leif Erikson (the sailor who was telling the story about Vinland) was an actual person who is believed to be the first European to visit North America (which he named Vinland). + Leif in this episode having the native headdress and pipe etc to confirm
it's definitely a slow burn; i would say don't be worried about not enjoying until you're at least a good handful of episodes in. when things fall into place there's so much to look back on and look forward to.
I honestly couldn't be more excited for this watchalong.
Yes love this show
8 sheep is crazy tho. Says alot about him. This will be my first rewatch of s1 after having seen s2. Vinland is one of my highest rated shows despite HEAVILY DISLIKING s1 because S2 was such a masterpiece it brought up s1 in retrospect . I'm curious how much more ill appreciate s1 on an actual rewatch. Im already picking up on some things. Im looking forward to this journey. Have fun J
i do think season 2 was better but heavily disliking season 1 is crazy damn
Oh I hope you do watch ATLA at some point (hopefully soon & as a watchalong on patreon) it really doesn't matter if you know certain plot points etc. The journey itself is so worth it -- I believe it is a show that everyone should watch at least once in their lifetimes
Jujutsu Kaisen would be a great next anime to watch once you finish Death Note or Vinland Saga!
On the one hand I am loving this reaction, this is one of my faves of all time and having watched a lot of your other content pre-anime days, I think you'll love it. On the other hand, hearing what you need to pack into a day gave me some kinda vicarious anxiety ngl. The To Do list before travelling is always a lot, good luck Edit: I too have never seen ATLA. But I avoid everything I hear about it, have had no spoilers. I'll probably watch it this year.
What about ovas the last 3 are good
They’ll be coming!
