113 - Techno Template - 143 BPM

I once asked a producer how he made such a great-sounding kick. His answer was simple:

"A lot... a lot of layers."

For this template, I decided to put that idea into practice, and I think the result turned out really well.

I start by building the initial groove using only a single kick layer - the main layer that contains the fundamental low frequencies. That layer stays untouched and isn't layered, preserving a clean and solid low end.

Next, I high-pass the additional layers around 100–120 Hz and start searching for sounds that add punch, body, texture, and presence across the rest of the frequency spectrum. The goal is to create a kick that feels dense, balanced, and powerful.

Although the track sounds minimal, it took around 50 tracks to build (sorry about that 😄).

I also used Granulator III, which is an incredibly powerful tool for creating unique textures and adding character to the sound.
