The reason why this feels so disconnected from the conclusion of wandavision's ending where she gave up being bad is because the writer of this movie admitted that they didn't even bother to watch wandavision before making this
Evil Dead 2 for a fall watch? 9 out of 10 Dentist agree, you should watch that movie. Especially if you like Sam Rami films. Also 1:04:23 lol
Yeah, the response to this was mixed, but mainly I think that’s because people had high expectations as to what this movie could’ve been. Essentially people were hoping we would see cameos or special appearances from everyone one who had ever participated in a Marvel movie, MCU or pre-MCU movies. For me, the cheesiness and some of the choices Sam Raimi made were dated, but I’m happy you enjoyed it nonetheless. Always refreshing to see an outsider/novice appreciate the film in ways an over-informed comic book fan might not be able to. 🙂
The sound on your recording was extremely low, I could hardly hear you talking especially during the movie. EDIT: I see the sound gets fixed about 15 minutes into the movie... so all good...
Finally got around to watching this, and what a great movie it is. Another fantastic reaction! Seriously though... your prediction that Wanda's whole motivation was finding her boys, made literally as Strange says, "As a matter of fact, I do," in response to knowing any witches... that has to be one of your best predictions yet. I actually said out loud, "She just predicted the entire plot." 😂 WandaVision really was the perfect lead-in for this movie. As far as MCU shows go, I still think WandaVision and Loki are the two that add the most to the films, while What If...? isn't necessary, but it's a lot of fun and gives a bit more appreciation for all the multiverse craziness. Beyond those, I'd just watch whatever interests you rather than feeling like you have to complete every series. Your comment about Patrick Stewart having the perfect audiobook voice was so true. He's one of those actors with an instantly recognisable voice that's just a pleasure to listen to. And regarding the Illuminati, I don't think the point was that they were weak. Quite the opposite—they're supposed to be some of the most powerful heroes in their universe. The point is just how terrifyingly powerful Wanda had become. She doesn't beat them because they're incompetent; she beats them because she's operating on an entirely different level. As always, a brilliant reaction. I'm actually jumping straight into your X-Men reaction after this one, and I'm excited to see you finally dive into that rabbit hole. It's not the MCU, but there's still a lot of fun ahead.
This was a fun reaction even though you didn’t immediately recognize professor X as he wheeled out 🫣 I guess this was for the fans of the animated cartoon (the Yellow hover chair is from the X-Men 97 cartoon as well as the theme song from the cartoon) and fans of Professor Xavier from the first live action movie for X-Men (2000), I’m pretty sure they brought him out last as the big surprise. Yeah, last time I commented under one of the Spider films to watch the X-Men movie before this one, oh well, I guess the footnotes at the bottom of the screen helped introduce you to him being an X-Men 🔥 yaaaay for movie footnotes kekeke 🤭 On when Wong took over as Sorcerer Supreme was in the movie Spider-Man No Way Home. Peter Parker visited Doctor Strange to ask him for help and that’s when Doctor Strange revealed Wong got the title by technicality that Strange had blipped out for the past 5 years. Yeah you definitely recognized Sam Raimi and his horror work. He did an amazing job on this! It’s perfect for him! I also love that the actor Bruce Campbell always does cameos in all of Raimi movies, this time he was the guy punching himself at the hot dog cart lol! One thing that surprised me about Sam Raimi directing this movie…his horror work is mainly practical effects but he actually went with digital effects for this…but even the digital effects here absolutely matches his style! I hope he directs another one! As for reference material that will definitely be referenced offhand or in dialogue etc. in future upcoming marvel movies, I see you already watched X-Men (2000) so that’s perfect 👍🏼 there are other X-Men movies listed that someone already mentioned, there was a couple jokes in the first Deadpool movie related to the other X-men movies…you probably won’t recognize it while watching them…i guess just rewatch Deadpool later after finishing all the X-Men films…offline…I just saw another reactor who chose to react to Deadpool as her first Marvel movie…she didn’t get all the jokes related to X-Men back then…but after she started over and reacted to literally all the X-Men related movies…she just recently…a few days ago…re-reacted to Deadpool and understood and enjoyed Deadpool more after understanding the referenced jokes…yeah that was worth watching a re-reaction lol 😆 Anyways, I highly recommend these other ones: Blade (1998) first Marvel suphero movie franchise (yes, I know Howard the Duck (1986) is the first Marvel comics movie but he’s not referenced in any future Marvel movie that I’m aware of…only in Guardians of the Galaxy at the very end of the end credits…and still has yet to have a new movie greenlit) Blade 2 (2002) Daredevil (2003)(optional…it is referenced in a future movie but it’s not as big or funny as some of the other ones…but still kinda cool…who knows…you might appreciate it more than a guy would🤷🏻♂️) Blade 3 (2004) definitely recommend…you will get why after you see who’s in it lol! Fantastic Four (2005) I don’t understand why anybody would recommend watching the newest one before watching the original from 2005? I mean…like why bother watching the original one if you already like the newest one? I can only guess…they haven’t watched the latest marvel movies that mentioned them 🤔 And as for other non Marvel movie references mentioned in Deadpool movies: I put a * next to those definitely worth reacting to lol Ferris Bueller’s Day off (1986)* Frozen (2013) Bambi (1943) Lion King (1994) Top Gun (1986) Interview With a Vampire (1994)* Batman (1989)* Star Wars (1977)* Flashdance (1983)* John Wick (2014)* Robocop (1987)* Cool Runnings (1993)* Human Centipede (2010)*🫣🤭 Annie (1982) Tucker & Dale vs Evil (2010) The Talented Mr Ripley (1999) The Goonies (1985)*🔥 The Terminator franchise mainly 1 and 2 *🔥 Basic Instinct (1992) Say Anything (1989)* Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005) Stranger Things (2016)* National Lampoons Van Wilder (2002) The Proposal (2009) Green Lantern (2011) ☠️
One of my personal favourite Marvel movies as I’ve always been a huge Sam Raimi fan, and this has so many good Raimi horror moments
You can thank Danny Elfman for the music in this one....
I don't think we have to watch any of the X-Men, but I never watched any of them (and probably am not alone) so if you do watch I'd personally be excited to see them for the first time alongside everyone else.
I'd recommend watching the what if? series, it explains a lot of doctor strange and may cone in handy before doomsday, now you've watched multiverse of madness it's not needed to be watched right now if you have the other marvel movies lined up as far as I can remember 😊
you need to watch ms marvel before the marvels
I was disappointed by this movie when I watched it in the theater but it was fun rewatching it with you Just having seen WandaVision. If you like professor x in this... You're going to love him in the X-Men movies.
I wanted to say thank you so much for putting your time and effort into reactions. I loved your content on YouTube & switched to patreon just to get more. Sorry that I cannot afford to pay for Discord, but I hope you continue doing the things you want to do as well. The Marvel rabbit hole post-Endgame is fun to go down, but can get tiring (and I tried to comment a list of the projects in order if that helped). But you should continue to feel free to continue other franchises and do things that make you happy, as well as keeping your mental health up❤️. You are loved eralia & take as much time as you need 22:04 To answer, yes (it is a shared universe tbh & I hope you do watch some). I recommend Ms Marvel (a great time) into The Marvels. The Falcon & The Winter Soldier (not confusing tbh if you skipped) into Captain America 4 & Thunderbolts. Loki, Agatha All Along (fun time) & VisionQuest supposedly go into the next Avengers movies along with the rest of the movies (& the shows that tie into them).
Watching all the X-Men movies is a task X-Men (2000) X2: X-Men United (2003) X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) X-Men: First Class (2011) The Wolverine (2013) X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) Deadpool (2016 X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) Logan (2017) Deadpool 2 (2018) Dark Phoenix (2019) The New Mutants (2020) Deadpool & Wolverine (2024)
I loved your reaction to this! The movie isn't one of my favorites. I'm not into the cheesy horror thing, but it's not a bad movie by any means and the multiverse aspect is awesome. I was also stoked to see your reaction to the X-Men music because you've mentioned watching X-Men before and I think you'd really like them. If I could give a recommendation as to where to go next, I'd definitely say watch all the X-Men movies. Some folks might tell you to skip some, but I think they're all good and it seems like you're enjoying seeing how everything has come together over the years. Other things I'd enjoy watching you react to at some point soon would be Black Widow and Deadpool 2. You could maybe sprinkle them in betwwen X-men movies. =P
Welcome back! Another great reaction. Rachel McAdams plays in my favorite movie Wedding Crashers along with your favorite Time Variant Authority agent Mobius, an awesome watch if you ever in the mood for a romcom.
I would not consider the Marvel TV content to be side quests. Except for one show that seems almost most universally disavowed. They all matter,. Even the original "netflix" ones matter too.
Nice one! You should go for the Deadpool 2. Then you can prepare for the Deadpool and Wolverine watching Thor: Love and Thunder, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, The Marvels and then Deadpool & Wolverine and keep going. You should go for the old X-Men movies before you watch Fantastic Four: First Steps 2025, definitely not the 2015 one, please.
Did Black Widow and Shang-Chi get watched and I missed it?
The use of "brother!" was classic as usual. There was an early "oh no" in an Aussie accent that cracked me the hell up. Another great Eralia reaction video - thank you for posting!
would recommend watching black widow. its a decent movie on its own but its essential to watch thunderbolts which is imo the best marvel movie since endgame
I love how almost every new marvel movie becomes your new favorite! ❤️
So excited about this Journey, You got it right with X-Men and FF , Cpt. Carter and the last Dr. strange is from the Animated show called What If...
And she returns with another banger
Highly recommend watching at the very least the Doctor Strange episode of What If?
So when I watched this film with my friend group, I went in expecting all that Raimi goofy stuff from the Evil Dead and Spider-Man. My friends thought it was weird and so did a lot of other people. But everytime I see this film it gets better.
Been waiting for this one, but couldn't even hear you. =(
cool reaction.
too quiet to watch sadly
She literally fixes it less than 10 mins in.
I love you lit up at the X-Men inclusion. Like most kids my age, I grew up on them and even if the Fox movies weren't perfect, I largely enjoyed the hell out of them. Marvel including more and more of the Fox movie properties in various ways since they acquired the studio has been real fun. Looking forward to rewatching all the X-films with ya (and the Fantastic Four films if you go that route also), though none of them are essential to continuing through Marvel's current film fest.
None of them? 🤔 Huh…interesting
Wong took over as sorcerer supreme when Strange disappeared during the blip during "Infinity Wars"... The writers kind of took this for granted that the audience would catch this right away but it did cause some confusion at first.
[Non-spoilery trivia] 32:18 "This is a horror movie!" Trivia about that! Director Sam Rami not only did the Toby Maguire Spider-Man trilogy, but before that the horror movies "The Evil Dead 1 & 2" and "Army of Darkness (sort of Evil Dead 3)." And produced countless B horror movies. #TheMoreYouKnow 🌠 1:59:55 Oh! You know. Okay, cool. Never mind then! =D
41:33 "Pizza Poppa" is Bruce Campbell, who starred in Sam Raimi's Evil Dead movies, and had cameos in the Spider-Man movies. First one he was the wrestling announcer who named him Spider-Man. Second one he was the usher at Mary Jane's play. And in the third one he was the maître d' when Peter wanted to propse to MJ at the restaurant. #TheEvenMoreYouKnow🌠
"I'm sorry about your moms" EYE ROLLS BEYOND COMPREHENSION God what a bad line. How did he seriously act that without laughing. What a poorly written scene
Her Parents died. What the fuck do you want him to say instead? Or is your problem that he said Moms?
For the full-on True Marvel Fan experience, watch Fantastic Four: First Steps before you watch the earlier versions. That way, you can be as disappointed in them as we were ./smh at the memories
also this movie makes me want to play World of Warcraft hella bad. Outfits, dungeons, all of it
Great watch as always! Excited for what's to come....as always! Lol
Audio is a low when the movie starts
PSA She realizes the volume issue at about 9:30 and adjusts it. Don't let your eardrums get blown out. lmao
...... ...I love you 😭
Oh man, I completely forgot this was a Raimi flick! That explains SO MUCH with the tone and directing. And of course the Bruce Campbell cameos, which are a staple of Raimi movies, if he's not in the lead like the Evil Dead franchise. Screw the haters, this movie was fun and looked like it was fun to make too.
17:40 in regard to your question I have heard of dreams being a glimpse into the multiverse from some indigenous religions
I actually really enjoyed this movie much more on second watch with you! It wasn't what I expected when I first watched it back when it was in theaters. I didn't hate it, but I was a bit disappointed. Watching it now, I've come to appreciate it much more though! Especially since this then somewhat ties into Agatha All Along, which is my favourite MCU TV show after Wandavision and Loki. I can't wait till you get to that. Hopefully you can time it with the Halloween season, as it's very much a fun spooky festive show! It was so nice seeing this movie again through your eyes and your genuine love for it showed and raised my own experience/option of it. I'd be so curious to see where every movie ranks for you at the end of your Marvel journey in a (maybe Patreon exclusive?) rank video. Anyways, thanks again for the good times! PS: I think most first time watchers miss that Multiverse of Madness spells out MoM - and it's all about Wanda wanting to be a mom again. Fun play on the title!
There are a couple Halloween-y shows at this point, which I really love. Agatha All Along, Werewolf By Night, Moon Knight (kinda). I don't know what Eralia's plans are or the timeline, but I hope to see some of these slotted in around October.
Would it be weird if your ex starts, right after your wedding, dating an alternate version of yourself from a parallel universe?
Also watch What If season 1, actually, it was worth watching it before this movie.
Ms. Marvel. You need to watch that if you're going to watch The Marvels.
I watched The Marvels without watching Ms Marvel, and didn't feel confused, FWIW.
I was so disappointed on the theaters watching this movie, I guess I just had high expectations, hopefully it's better on a rewatch
Wong is the sorcerer supreme on a technicality of Strange being missing for 5 years. There's a lot of red tape in magic. It's a whole thing.
Nice! I wasn't expecting a new movie for a bit with everything that's going boom in the middle east rn. Thanks!
Very quiet🙉 or is that just my headphones dying? I can get it to where I can hear you, just if needed fix for yt😊
its quiet
Just wanted to say how much I like your content. You are the reason I switched from YT to Patreon, just so I can enjoy every minute. I started your Marvel journey for the third time now. But I also hope you dont forget yourself. Im happy to read your announcement on Discord about your other hobbies, spending time with your family etc. Keep your mental health up. And also enjoy your movie watching time with your cats (if they are in the mood). Im going through a rough time right now and I wish for everybody to be happy and healthy. Waiting more days for a new video is worth it, if it means you are yourself and happy. Makes a better reaction too. And dont get too frustrated in the Marvel rabbit hole. Im a huge Marvel fan and happy to see those movies and shows with you. But there is so much stuff and especially in the later movies, there is so much fan service, references etc to old movies. You cant possible catch up with everything. I think its also not important. People who watch the first reactions like LotR know, true eralia reaction means "As blind as possible is the best" and "eralia has fish brain and forgets half the things anyway". And I think that makes a authentic and likable reaction. In the end, we want to have your reaction to content, not "our reaction" mirrored by somebody else. So feel free to skip stuff or take a break. So much other franchises you started (John Wick, Hobbit, Pirates) and so much other movies to wait for you. Anyway, sorry for the long comment. Positive vibes. Be happy, be yourself, stay healthy.
this was such a sincere and thoughtful comment, thank you. i will always prioritize staying authentic to our community! taking breaks and knowing when to prioritize other things is the key to maintaining high energy and honest reactions ❤️ sending you good vibes and hope lady fortune smiles upon you soon! you’ve got this!
Yay! Can't wait to watch this, hopefully tomorrow night otherwise it might have to wait a few days as I'm going away this weekend.
Please please please.. A 🏠 of 🧨 🙏
I am so haaappyyyyy 🥰🥰 another excuse to watch for the 1000th time 😁
🐈🐈⬛️😱😍🤗
Heck yeah, just home from the gym, so lets go, perfect timing!
