ok we are like neck deep in marvel she should know by now to WATCH UNTIL YOU PHYSICALLY CAN'T aka the VERY END like were past endgame and still missing after credit scenes come onnn such an L reactor, 2 thumbs down.
The ending reminded me of the Doctor Who episode "Forest of the Dead" https://www.tumblr.com/dken9/692805951883984896/doctor-who-s04e09-forest-of-the-dead-wandavision
I hope you watch 'Agatha All Along' too! It gives us a little more knowledge into the witch and dark magic side of Marvel
"Who is this woman?" Gurl that is the OG witch Agatha Harkness, after your DR Strange video we need to conclude this story by watching Agatha All Along, it's 9 episodes, very nice show as well
I do hope that you watch Hawkeye. So much fun.
We gotta get Ms Marvel and The Marvels on the watch list!
Emotional Damage!!! So emotional for this series. I love how Marvel intertwines with the real world, Afghanistan in Iron Man and now Ukraine with WandaVision in a way. And the new characters are great too, definitely recommend Agatha all Along, yep, she got her own series. And there are plans for Vision Quest where we will follow the White Vision. 😊
"Agatha All Along" is also a Marvel TV show.... For the context you should have watched it first...
And spoil the twist? Nope.
take a month off of marvel (my goodness that hurts to say). take three. Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Anyone, anyone? Some of the references in no way home & the end credits deadpool 1. (Edited Buller to Bueller, smh)
"How powerful *is* she?!" in the comic book event the show is based off, House of M, Wanda rewrites all of earth, never-existed most of the supes. Freakin' *subconsciously*
This show is so good! I'm glad you liked it! If you're not familiar with the various sitcoms it referenced, it might be fun to do a little googling to learn more. There were plenty of guides online when the show came out. Each episode was an homage to a different decade of sitcoms. This show has three direct sequels, and you should watch them all: - Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness follows up immediately with Wanda, and her story drives the plot. You could go ahead and watch it now. If you wanted maximum impact, you could watch some X-Men, Fantastic Four, Inhumans, and What If...?, but it's not strictly necessary. You need to watch X-Men before Deadpool & Wolverine, but you won't miss it much in Doctor Strange. - Agatha All Along is essentially the second season of WandaVision, and it follows up with Agatha Harkness (but not Wanda or Vision). I would wait until after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but it's not that big of a deal either way. - The Marvels is the next Captain Marvel movie (in Phase 5), and it follows up on Monica Rambeau's new powers. I strongly recommend watching the Ms. Marvel show first to meet the third main character. It's less important and acclaimed than WandaVision or Loki, but it's really good and I think you'd like it. At least watch a trailer to see the vibe. That said, if you're not interested, you can definitely still watch The Marvels and meet the character there.
Man, this show wraps up so well. I love how it starts off as this quirky sitcom homage, changing decades every episode, with little weird moments sprinkled throughout. Then it just keeps getting stranger and stranger until those final episodes where everything comes together. Such a clever concept, and it leads really nicely into Multiverse of Madness. Speaking of, you asked about watch order, so here's my 10 cents. I think your MCU plan is pretty spot on. Multiverse of Madness is the natural follow-up to WandaVision, and you've also got Black Widow, Shang-Chi and Eternals, which all released before it but are fairly standalone, so you've got some flexibility there. After that I'd definitely recommend Thor: Love and Thunder. It gets a surprising amount of hate online, but I honestly had a blast with it. Given how often you end up enjoying movies that the internet is mixed on (Thor: The Dark World being the perfect example), I think you'll probably have a good time with it too. I'd probably finish Loki Season 2 before Quantumania as well. It isn't required, but I think they complement each other nicely. And then... Guardians Vol. 3. I've tried not to overhype it throughout your MCU journey, but it really is one of my favourites, and I'm so excited for you to get there. As for X-Men, I completely get why it's hard to know where to jump in. Personally, if you're mainly watching them to add context before the newer Marvel stuff, I don't think you need to marathon the entire franchise first. I'd probably watch the original X-Men (2000), then Blade and Elektra before Deadpool 2 and Deadpool & Wolverine. If you end up loving X-Men, you can always go back afterwards and enjoy the rest of the series at your own pace. That feels like the best balance between getting the references and avoiding another massive movie marathon.
So, as far as watch order, I would generally say to stick to release order for the MCU, including the shows. The next show that is a "must-watch" is Falcon and The Winter Soldier, which is (at least) only six episodes long. I do _recommend_ watching What If...?, though that isn't an urgent, essential show; it is just one that I personally enjoy a lot. Hawkeye is a really awesome one, as is Moon Knight. After Miss Marvel, though, things do start to get a bit muddy for me, and even I kind of stopped keeping up with the shows. Watching the X-Men movies before Deadpool 2 (at least through Logan) would be ideal. Also, the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special before Guardians 3. It'll make sense when you get to it. Anyway, just... understand that things have their ups and downs going forward, but don't let people tell you what you won't enjoy before you watch something. I have my own movies that I have problems with, but... I make it a point not to mention them before someone reacts to them. At the end of the day, though, you _are_ getting into the home stretch! I know it might not feel like it, especially with the shows, but you really are!
"I'm ready for chaos!" Mmm... poor choice of words... or, rather amusingly, on point...
Brother!!!! I'll add to the chorus of comments suggesting that "Agatha All Along" is a show worth strongly considering. It is an absolute delight. The order of watching these shows / movies is overrated IMO, so long as you are generally following a sequence, not randomly jumping around. As opposed to what some commenters freak out about it, it's not a huge deal if you watch a show that reveals three tiny details that would inform two small moments in an MCU film.
you missed the second credit Scene!
Great reactions. You're right--the whole show is about grief and how people deal with it. In fact, the episodes mirror the 5 stages of grief: Denial (Episodes 1 & 2), Anger (Episode 3), Bargaining (Episodes 4, 5 & 6), Depression (Episode 7), Acceptance (Episodes 8 & 9). The sound stage in the flashback scenes was a real sound stage, as they filmed Episode 1 in front of a live studio audience. And I really think you'd like the Hawkeye show; just for Yelena.
Kate Bishop is very cool, very cool. She gets some points too
Definitely no need watching all they shows, don’t waste your time. But just putting out my 2 cents for no reason Hawkeye and Agatha are solid
My favorite thing post-endgame has been the nuggets of life due to the snap. In endgame Cap said whales returned to the Hudson, and potentially Thanos did do what he wanted. But then you see in this how the small towns were decimated. And then obviously in many shows how crime got out of control. Also, Scarlet Witch is her "hero" name. But I love how they went about combining her powers into this mystical/magical side of the Marvel universe (a side I want more of). In the comics she is technically a mutant with her brother as well.
Yes!!!!! Yes!!! Yes!!! 😆 and you skipped the last end credit!!!
Maybe some Trivia for the confused: Wanda and her brother are originally mutants from the X-Men universe in the comics. But Marvel sold the movie rights for "X-Men" and therefore had to come up with some new backstory. Thats why it feels a bit wonky. "Scarlet Witch" is literally just her mutant alias, so kinda funny that they made her a "real" witch here. And just to strengten the point from the other post ... You plan is totally fine. Dont worry. Original 3 X-Men movies and Logan explain enough for Deadpool 2 & 3.
outstanding reactions, as usual -- thank you! And the good news is that if you choose to you can just dive right in to the next series, "Agatha All Along"...
Thank you for your reaction Eralia! Here’s the best order (Save this) The official release order (the best way) to watch is: (Phase 4) WandaVision✅, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki Season 1✅, Black Widow, What If…? Season 1 (not needed), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Eternals (not needed for now), Hawkeye, Spider-Man: No Way Home✅, Moon Knight (not needed for now), Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Ms. Marvel, Thor: Love and Thunder, I Am Groot Season 1 (not needed), She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Werewolf by Night (not needed for now), The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. It was such a joy to watch you experience this show! Keep going at whatever pace you can, we will always be ready for the next reaction lol
There is another after credit
You plan to watch the Newer xmen with like jennifer lawrence and james macavoy?
Wearing eye makeup to the WandaVision finale was a choice 😜
I do think you maybe would want to catch that last 30 seconds of this episode. Wanda makes a decision that affects the next Dr.Strange film. If you’ve seen it col, if not, you’ll probably get a bunch of folks explaining it in your Dr.Strange 2 watch. Anyway great reaction! Thank you so much for watching these shows with us/for us. I don’t think we thank you enough for that. You’re appreciated! See you next time!
Seems no one mentioned The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, but to me it’s also a good show, especially because it’s about the honor of soldiers.
The introduction oh john walker is pretty important as well
You missed an end credits but it actually might help you be even more shocked and bamboozled when something happens.
So in the comics wanda and Peter were the children of Magneto, Peter became Quicksilver and Wanda the scarlet witch. Agnes was an old lady villain connected to different superheroes Like Fantastic 4 and Dr. strange.
One of the best shows marvel has ever done, there is like a sequel of sorts to this with Agatha all along , which when i first heard I was like wtf? But it really did exceed any expectations i had for it. As for xmen ,wolverine, and deadpool, theres a ton of xmen movies but you can probably get away with watching just the first orignal 3 and then first class, and days of future past would be the essential 5 that tell their story the best. Wolverine has 3 of his own movies too and his orgin movie isnt great but is heavily referenced throughout deadpool so you probably would have to watch that, the wolverine, his 2nd movie, you can get away with skipping , but logan would be essential viewing before deadpool 2 and 3
There was still another after credits scene that you missed
Maybe just watch the pilot episode for each series and see what piques your interest? Some are worth not watching. Iron Fist, Luke Cage, maybe Jessica Jones. There is an upcoming movie which seems to tie in with some of the aspects in these stories, but might mostly be explained in Daredevil.
The 2003 Daredevil movie will give the best context and introduce someone she will meet later on in the MCU....
Eralia, there is a significant, 2nd end credits scene you missed. It’s not a trailer but you should go back and view it, if even on your own. It bridges into future marvel films.
As Troy said, there's a missed end-credit scene after the one you saw. It's pretty important as it sets up future stuff. I'm so glad you enjoyed this show, it was so well done and looking forward to more Agatha when you get around to that!
Sorry to Be That Guy, but there's 30 seconds after the credits that are A Big Deal™. (BUT... you could also wait until the next Doctor Strange movie to watch it. ) Edit: Actually, you could skip it and just be super surprised when you watch the movie.
If you're looking to trim your list down, you could skip Shang-Chi for now. Streamlined Path to Wolverine & Deadpool: - X-Men (2000) - X-2 (2003) - The Wolverine (2013) - Deadpool 2 - A trailer for Fantastic Four (2005) [some will say you need to watch the whole movie. They are mistaken. You only need to know the gist and cast from the trailers.] - Logan - Wolverine & Deadpool
Me when getting the notification that this was posted on my day off: LFG! 😅 Fun fact: when Wanda officially became the Scarlet Witch at the end, that was the part in "Loki" when "He Who Remains" said that the timeline was crossing the threshold. Wanda was just as involved with the creation of the Multiverse as Sylvie and Loki were and once again, LFG! ✊🤓✊ 🤣
If I didn't have Eralia's intros to remind me to grab an energy drink at the start of the day, I don't know what I'd do...
Taking a break from watching your 2023 playthrough of "The Walking Dead" to watch this relaxing fun frolic! 😂
Yay!!!
Oh hex yea. I knew you were gonna love this series. Thank you so much for sharing this journey us. 🫶🫡
Hell yeah 🤘🏿
