This movie has always been a huge problem/mixed bag for me. It is sooooo much fun...and so funny. It's so entertaining I can't say it's not a great movie. But given the subject matter, it also pisses me off that something as significant as the death of odin, the destruction of the hammer, fooking ragnarok/the destruction of asgard, the death of thors friends...and so many other things are dealt with/enmeshed with so much slapstick and overly silly and cartoonish comedy...it really does a disservice to the story and gravitas of what's actually happening...

The Collector, his assistant Carina (who blew herself up in Guardians), Ego (Star-Lord’s dad), and The Grandmaster are considered to be apart of Marvel’s Elders of the Universe. The members are: The Architect, The Astronomer, The Caregiver, Carina Korvac/Carina Tivan (daughter of the Collector), The Challenger (OG Grandmaster), The Champion of the Universe, The Collector/Taneleer Tivan, The Contemplator, Ego the Living Planet (The last surviving Celestial & Star-Lord’s dad), The Explorer, Father Time, Gara, The Gardener, The Grandmaster, The Judicator, The Obliterator, The Possessor, The Profiteer, The Promoter, The Runner, The Trader, The Voyager (daughter of the Grandmaster)

Asking about my favorite movie snack... I haven't been to a movie since I saw 'Return of the King'. I don't like going to the movies by myself, but I remember popcorn being a favorite of mine back when I did go.

D
Doug Watson · March 1, 2026

This one is my favorite

Russ Tan · February 24, 2026

Fun fact: the role of Thor was down to Chris and Liam Hemsworth. Their brother Luke Hemsworth plays Thor in the play about Loki in this (Also starring Matt Damon and Sam Neill).

Movie popcorn and peanut m&ms, also this was a fricken WIN from start to finish, loved it. Appreciate ya effort, thanks E

The Grandmaster character from this movie is the brother of The Collector from the Guardians of the Galaxy movies.

Infinity War approaches and I'm "Hela" excited! Can't wait for you to react to it Oh, and will you watch the tv shows such as WandaVision, Loki and Moon Knight? All three of them are bangers and some of them has a good lore progress for upcoming films

A
Arda Uzsüren · February 24, 2026

For example: You need to watch WandaVision for 2nd film of Doctor Strange: The Multiverse of Madness to get a better idea of the film. Also Loki series has a crazy amount of lore. Probably needed for soon to-be-released Avengers Doomsday film

If I had to pick one subset of the MCU as my favourite (and I'm not allowed to pick the Avengers movies), I'd pick the Captain America trilogy. Each has their own vibe, they all bring something new to the table, and CA:Civil War is lowkey an Avengers movie, let's face it. Movie snack of choice is popcorn (sweet, not salty) in the movie theatre, or some tasty tapas if I'm at home watching a movie.

Alright, Thor: Ragnarok. I’m perched. Let’s go! I really love this movie. It lands such a good balance between big Marvel stakes and genuinely great comedy — and I’ll fully admit I’m biased because it’s directed by Taika Waititi. The humour is very Kiwi, and yes, Korg’s voice is hilarious. That’s a strong NZ accent doing exactly what it’s meant to do, and Korg is easily one of the best parts of the movie. Also… the way you immediately clocked that the challenger was Hulk? Another spot-on Eralia prediction. And I had to laugh when you asked if you ship Loki and Valkyrie — maybe, but there’s really only one person Loki could ever truly love. You’ll get there if/when you watch the Loki series (after Phase 3 👀). Ragnarok is absolutely S-tier Marvel for me, even if it’s not my personal number one. Picking a favourite “series” in the MCU is honestly impossible, but if Avengers counts, that might be it. The original Avengers is iconic, Age of Ultron is solid (even if it’s the weakest of the four), and then… yeah, Infinity War and Endgame are on another level entirely. Everything really starts paying off there. Only one more movie — Black Panther — before all the threads that started back in Iron Man begin tightening fast. I genuinely can’t express how excited I am for you to hit what’s coming next. Keep ’em coming 🔥

The Guardians movies are definitely my favorites out of the MCU!! For a movie theater snack, I always go with popcorn and a blue raspberry Icee!

k
kenny mannino · February 24, 2026

This is def my favorite movie. but 1 think always aggravates me. Thor is the god of thunder and harnesses the power of lightning in him and yet is incapacitated by a taser disk.

So far the iron man trilogy was my top pick. But my real favorites are still to come! Tough question since future movies change how you feel about the early ones!

I had a good time watching this movie with you.. Thors always good for a mix of humour and action. It was a good change of pace from what has been a rough couple of days for me and my family.. can’t wait for Black Panther! Thanks and take care Eralia.

B
Brian Leonard · February 24, 2026

Guardians of The Galaxy for my favorite franchise within Marvel. I usually get a popcorn and a pop at the theater, but sometimes I will get some chicken tenders.

K
Kevin Rilke · February 24, 2026

Great watch! Buttered popcorn extra butter with cherry coke and maybe some raisinets.

The scene where captive Thor is taken along the weird scenes in that chair was taken from this scene in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Well, it's actually this music, but there's a scene like it in the movie where Wonka takes everyone through a weird tunnel, too. https://youtu.be/SVi3-PrQ0pY?si=IszIsn7wbL1WRbWh https://youtu.be/8X48RiKQmFQ?si=zYbukt3fYrBkdnAz

Oh my god, the end credit scene that hypes me the most. the "prehistoric dinosaur bone ship." We are close, boys. Also guardian movies are my favorite, only because 3 is damn good movie.

S
Simon Argent · February 24, 2026

3 is the best of them. It's S-tier MCU, and easily top 3... maybe 4 MCU movies for me.

I

Thor and Doctor Strange I think are my top 2 Avengers for sure! Love these movies!

C

i cant talk about my favorite Marvel Movies, because there still coming. The Next is one of my Favorite. At this Thor Movie, i dont like thekind of Humor, the timing for Humor. Asgard was burning and there was Jokes

D
Dragonlady135 · February 24, 2026

Sometimes when your world is falling down around you, jokes and humor are the one thing to keep a person sane.

D
D · February 24, 2026

At this point, you should probably start avoiding comments until you've made it to the end of Phase 3. There's a lot in the pipeline you should get to just experience unspoiled. Enjoy Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and the Avengers 2-parter. I will say that watching these as they came out in the theaters was an unmatched experience. Buttered popcorn all the way, essential for the viewings. (GotG is the best series, Captain America The Winter Soldier my favorite stand-alone)

#
#MaxwellDidNothingWrong · February 24, 2026

I keep forgetting that some people consider Captain Marvel canon. It isn't even in my MCU folder

C
CJMc · February 24, 2026

o

boy popping off with spoilers.

T
Troy · February 23, 2026

Guardians is my favorite series overall, but the Thor movies have grown on me. And that's all I'm going to say at this point in your MCU journey. BTW, I cannot over-advise being careful with comments through the end of Phase 3 and part of Phase 4, because there are going to people who cannot keep it in their pieholes about major spoilers, especially on YouTube, and there are spoilers GALORE to be had in the next handful of movies. A lot happens, or doesn't happen.

M
MotoDork · February 23, 2026

Mark Mothersbaugh (from DEVO) masterfully composed the score for this film.

G
Gwath Eledh · February 23, 2026

The Guardian movies are my favorite from the MCU franchises. Though my absolute favorite MCU movie is a different one, which will still take you a while to get to. In cinemas i just take a Spezi (thats coke and orange soda mixed, for you non germans ^^) to drink.

M
Mike A · February 23, 2026

SUPER excited for Black Panther! (Infinity War/Endgame have to be the top-2 MCU movies to date, but Black Panther is in the top-5.)

M
Mike A · February 23, 2026

Taika Waititi (Director) elevated the visuals and humor of the Thor movies with this movie. Taika also recognized and beautifully utilized Chris Hemsworth’s comedic abilities (see Ghostbusters (2016)).

M
MotoDork · February 23, 2026

Anyone who tells you to skip ANY MCU film should be avoided like the plague. Also, guys, there is one film between us and Infinity War. Woot.

To answer your questions my favorite movie “series” out of marvel if I’m not being biased about spiderman being my favorite character it’s definitely the guardians trilogy, the next 2 spiderman movies are great tho and I really do love the mcu spiderman movies, favorite movie theater snack besides popcorn is either pretzels with cheese or the dibs ice cream bites

M

M
Mike A · February 23, 2026

S
Skarlet Rogue · February 23, 2026

You should look up the trailer to this movie. Not only is is one if the few times Led Zeppelin has allowed their songs in a movie, but they show the Hulk reveal in it. Everyone one in the theater had the same reaction as Thor! Because it had been 2 years since we had seen him.

o
o.o · February 23, 2026

One more movie before infinity war? We are close!!!

N
NYG316 · February 23, 2026

Loved this movie! My favorite Thor movie, though I am Team Cap all the way. As always, enjoyed your reactions. 👍🏻

M
Mike A · February 23, 2026

Jeff Goldblum always plays Jeff Goldblum. Well, recently. It's worth watching him in The Fly.

N
Nietzsche's Mustache · February 23, 2026

Yeah, earlier Goldblum was less Jeff and a bit more of the character he portrayed, I think his persona sort of cemented in Jurassic Park. The Fly is always a good recommendation, but I'll counter with Mister Frost. Insidious little film (I say as the highest of compliments).

D
Darj · February 23, 2026

Favourite MCU series: anything involving Loki (including his TV series), because I'm a stan for that sort of outcast story arc. Favourite cinema snack: peanut M&Ms yo.

#
#MaxwellDidNothingWrong · February 24, 2026

It also happens to be one of the few examples of a proper character arc

F
Flaycont · February 23, 2026

Shouldn't she have watched black panther and black widow( minus the post credits scene) before this?

N
Neil · February 23, 2026

Black panther is after ragnarok. As far as widow goes, she’s watching in release order not chronological.

M
Mike A · February 23, 2026

Dang! Does this mean you've already seen The Boys?! I was soooo hoping we'd get to watch you react to that.

M
Mike A · February 23, 2026

Ooo! If you are a fan of Karl Urban (Skurge), he's the lead in Dredd, another comic book/superhero-ish movie.

D
Darj · February 23, 2026

When it comes to the relationship between Thor and Hulk, there's a lot of criss crossing information in the dialogue in this movie, buried in the jokes. Is the Hulk most important because smash or is Banner most important because he's the smart one who helps resolve situations through logic, science and diplomacy. But there's one bit that shows the truth of it. When they first met in the arena, Thor instinctly called him Banner. So there's that.

M
Mephalim · February 23, 2026

Perfect timing for my day off.

D
Darj · February 23, 2026

"Literally what in the Lord of the Rings?" Honey, do I have news for you who the actress who played Hella in this played in LOTR.

M

Cate Blanchett (Hela here; Galadriel in LOTR). 2 Oscars; 8 nominations. Also won on BAFTAs, Golden Globes, and SAG Awards across a career of Shakespearean stage work, arthouse film, and blockbuster franchises.
