Go back and check out a 60's movie called "Colossus: The Forbin Project". The forerunner of most AI related films. The Terminator, etc...

Wow had a blast watching this with you Aralia, got a new appreciation for this movie I used to not be too into it but with hindsight it’s actually pretty well put together and has really great heart/story

Not sure where to post this, but I recommend the movie Raider’s of the Lost Ark if you haven’t seen it. Timeless classic.

Always loved this one. It's probably peak MCU or at least solidified the formula fully. The villain isn't yet another +1 ultimate universal threat, but has intricate ties to everything that has been happening so far. The stones, Thanos, directly related to the aftermath of the first Avengers movie; the pieces keep falling into place and the big picture is slowly revealing itself. Also, if you missed it in the opening credits, you couldn't miss Jos Whedon's touch on the movie from the writing itself. The fast paced character dynamics and juxtaposition of the humour are his signature touch that has become a staple in the movies going forward, but I'll let you be the judge in how well they pulled it off. And if you want an Marvel movie that won't make you cry... I wouldn't hold my breath... :P

idk man, I felt tlike this was a NECESSARY movie for the mcu journey but it is defo one of the worst ones. Civil war is better + a load of individual character movies which I think shouldn't be the case for an AVENGERS movie. just my take though.

I was just watching some of your YouTube versions and holy sh*t, PLEASE avoid a lot of those comments, eralia, they are FULL of spoilers. =( Huge spoilers. Ridiculously evil a-hole spoilers. (I'm hoping you have someone who screens them for you.)

It really is hard for the Hulk to be a part of society though he gets too happy turns into the Hulk. He gets too sad turns into the Hulk get too mad turn into the Hulk gets to anything he turns into the hulk

Another really enjoyable reaction. Age of Ultron has a lot going on under the surface, and it was interesting hearing your thoughts as things started getting more morally messy. When you mentioned Wanda being overpowered… yeah, that comment made me smile. She’s already strong here, but this is very much just the beginning of what she’s capable of. Since you’ve said you really like her as a character, WandaVision is absolutely worth keeping in mind once you’re past Phase 3—it fits best there timeline-wise and adds a lot of depth. I also laughed when you said you needed to “save your tears.” Not because you should hold back, but because there are so many moments ahead that hit emotionally. This is really where the MCU starts leaning harder into that side of the storytelling. When you joked about becoming a “Marvel shill,” it actually highlighted something a lot of anti-Marvel takes overlook. These movies aren’t just individual action spectacles—they’re telling one long, interwoven story across dozens of characters and films. Threads get planted early, relationships evolve over years, and consequences carry forward. A lot of what works so well later is because of the patience and buildup happening now, all moving toward something much bigger. Quick practical note on the end-credit scenes: not every MCU movie has two, so you’re not actually missing one every time—sometimes there just isn’t a second. And now you’ve officially wrapped Phase 2. That’s the halfway point of the three-phase Infinity Saga, and from here on out there are some genuinely incredible highs ahead—both huge crowd-pleasing moments and quieter, heavier ones. Really looking forward to what’s coming next.

I know E. watched these a long time ago and banked them for us to regular content, which, makes her a total LEGEND btw, but I wanted to throw some quick facts about the last movie, Guardians of the Galaxy: 1. Some ppl think Vin Diesel recorded "I am Groot" like three times and then let AV team make it whatever they needed - NOPE - Marvel provided Diesel with a BINDER of each line of Groot's dialogue, HOW to say the line, AND what Groot was saying in English, so that Diesel would know EXACTLY how to say them. 2. Chris Pratt, never having been in a sci-fi movie before, kept saying "Pew-Pew" when firing guns; the team had to keep telling him, "You don't have to do that, we'll add that in later", several times. 3. Quill dropping the orb at the The Collector's, was NOT in the script. Pratt did it by accident but recovered in a funny way, so the director kept it in. 4. Baby Groot dancing at the end was NOT random; it was actually the motion capture dancing of the director, James Gunn. I thought this trivia was fun and I hope you do too!

Oh, and for anyone wondering about THIS movie, yes Scarlett Jo was pregnant during most of the filming, they digitally edited out her belly bump.

R
Russ Tan · December 31, 2025

I find it funny that Aaron Taylor Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen went back to back movies, first as a married couple, then twins

I really think there needed to be a Hulk / Black Widow movie before this one. I do buy their attachment - after all those lives she has snuffed out, Banner is one only she can save. And for the man who pushes everyone away to keep them safe, she's the one who refuses to be kept at arms length. It just needed it's own film to sow those seeds first.

Kenny Teeology · December 31, 2025

For great A.I., you can look way back to 1968 for "2001: A Space Odyssey" and H.A.L. 9000

And 'War Games' Oh, you said great, I guess War Games is ok though

Darian Harman · December 31, 2025

I will never forget the sound that erupted in my theater on opening night when Vision picked up Mjolnir. This is one of those films that improves with each revisit, especially after you have experienced the entirety of the MCU. This movie was doing more heavy lifting than we realized at the time. On a completely different note, I hope we can all close our eyes in a moment of recognition of the bravery of Oleksandr Matsievskyi today. He is an epic fucking hero, and this day should belong to him. Too many heroes.

Rashad Walker · December 31, 2025

Some films from here on out will have more than one end scene , others will just have one

p
psylenced · December 31, 2025

I hope you eventually get to the WandaVision mini series, it's my favorite MCU show. And adds to Wanda's story a bit and it's enjoyable, win win.

Banner and hulk are two different beings. Hulk has its own mind different from Bruce.

Eralia, why do you assume that Natasha is the one that made the choice of Banner over Rogers? Maybe Rogers told her no.

M
Mike A · December 30, 2025

Andy Serkis (actor) == Gollum (LotR) == Ulysses Klaue (here; the guy who had all the vibranium)

E
Eric · December 30, 2025

All this talk about Natasha not choosing Cap, maybe the issue is Cap didn't choose Natasha! LOL

B
Brian · January 3, 2026

Haha, I kinda have a feeling all of that talk from E was mostly just based on her having a crush on Cap. Just my opinion ;)

Thank you for making these Eralia. They have given something to look forward to in a really weird year. Love you friend and hope you're doing well. 🐯🩵

N
Niklaus · December 30, 2025

Oh Eralia, the world is going to get alot bigger. I hope you have not been spoiling yourself too much, everything is going to be explained in the movies. About the AI, you really need to watch more 90's scifi movies. PS: There is still Ant man in phase two. I have seen alot of ppl comment how this is last of phase two.

S
Shehan · December 30, 2025

Ohhh this was funnn. Friday’s such a cool ai compared to Jarvis 🔥

T
Thomas Yanez · December 30, 2025

LOL, "I wasn't expecting another Avengers movie..." Yeah, about that... when "Iron Man" was released in 2008, they had over 45 years of Avengers comics to draw from, not to mention even a longer period for individual and cross-over stories between most of the heroes. They have enough ready-to-go story material they could keep making these movies for another 45 years just on the content that existed before Phase 1 started. The real surprise is how well they used that material for the first three phases. Quality gets a little uneven after that, but there is still plenty of good stuff to come.

S
Sean Dame · January 1, 2026

Captain America: Civil War can almost be called an Avenger's movie, and it's coming up soon in the line-up (early in phase 3) . I can't wait!

J
JayF · December 30, 2025

"Steve just gets things done" Probably unintentional by the writers but it fits Steve's generation that he's more prone to act than to over analyze. Also, casting Cap was an impossible task to nail completely. He needed to be all that Chris Evans is physically and he can pull off the wholesome man thing. The thing I feel he lacks is Cap's natural leadership from the comics. He is basically a man, albeit enhanced, that is leading a group of people that includes those much more powerful than he is. Yet he's such a natural leader that they follow him without question. Chris just doesn't have the presence to pull off portraying a man like that. It would probably take a much older actor but of course that actor probably wouldn't fit the age needed for Cap or be able to portray the parts of Cap that Chris does get right.

Hope it is dawning to you now but Avengers 1 was essentially the cold open of the Avengers movies. You need to stop by Costco for tissues. And please get a stable chair for perching

James Spader (the voice of Ultron) was in a movie called Stargate that you'd probably really like. Paul Bettany (voice of Jarvis/Vision) was in the movies A Knight's Tale and A Beautiful Mind which you would probably like.
