KONOSUBA God's Blessing on this Wonderful World, that anime with "something is poking my butt" is actually ruined by the English localizers and the voice actors, the timing is much better in the original, watch it in any other language or with subs. Trust me, once you get the anime is a parody, and get to know the characters, that scene in the movie hits hard.

I can vouch for that scene, it did infact happen. I watch sub so the dialog is slightly different, but the context is identical.
Why is Japanese animation so primitive? To show one image while dialog goes on, then another image and more dialog. Don't they have good animators that can make fluid realistic scenes for an entire story? If this type of thing was pitched to an American TV channel it wouldn't stand a chance of ever getting on TV. That's why shows like The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, and Rick and Morty have been so popular with some being on for over twenty years.
I don’t think it’s a matter of being primitive so much as emulating the style of manga, which anime is generally based on. In manga, you have still panels with dialogue when folks are talking, so anime having that similarly evokes the same feeling. That, and they generally save the animation budget for the action scenes, which is something manga doesn’t convey as well, either with a series of panels, a wide shot, or sometimes a full page, I think that’s one of the bigger appeals of anime, but the dialogue isn’t so important to get high level animation.
I gotta agree with Kai on this one, I don't watch anime that much but if it isn't in Japanese it's just cringy to watch.

But really, this one was really good, tons of great content here densely packed together. Last scene was from FLCL Alternative, while in general all the FLCL follow-ups fail to deliver, that line from Haruko was gold.
