As a guy with zero romantic prospects, nigh, barely any intention of dating, work gives me a purpose. I've already decided not to have children, I'm going to live my life how in a way that makes me happy, proud and fulfilled in my own way. More often than not, nobody else is going to make me feel better than my right hand so why bother wasting my investment on individuals that don't contribute to an overall success.

Yeah... no, i'm a guy and there is exactly one reason why i'm continuing to go to work and that's because i need money. If my expenses were paid for while i sit at home all day playing games and doing whatever else i liked, i wouldn't continue working. Screw purpose. I am shocked that you couldn't tell that the video of the girl dancing in front of a DJ and all the people in the room, but as you commented "No one was looking at her" It's because that was a video of the DJ and she was inserted onto that video. That's why no one was looking at her, because she was not there! As far as the conversation about how guys go after women, but women don't go after guys, that isn't true. Girls will mostly go after a guy for shallow reasons like money, security, etc. But I can attest to some girls do go after guys for just the guy. When I was married, I had two instances where a very nice girl started coming after me. I feel it was because I was married and she wanted a guy that would not screw around on her and truly be her loyal mate for life. I don't think if I was single, she would have been as interested, but she still would have shown interest in me. The second instance was when I had become recently divorced and women who know me that were single made it known that they would like to "hang out and be closer friends." I think women need to have a situation where they get to know the man through common friends and common social activities. That way they can find out enough to decide if they want to get to know the guy better one on one and then go after him. A close female friend warned me that there were at least a couple of female mutual friends that expressed to her that they wanted a chance to get to know me before I got taken off the market. Women are just like guys, and the only difference is that they don't openly show their desire for a guy the way men do over a women.

As someone who lived off my disability payments and is unemployed, I don't agree with Henry's comment about needing purpose. I love not having to work. However, that being said, everything else he said about girls having more options and no woman ever going up to a guy, in my experience, I have to agree. I've asked out more women than I can count and never even gotten a first date. Since I stopped caring about dating and relationships, I've never had someone come up to me while I'm out riding my motorcycle, out shopping, out just on my daily walks, out of my home in general. It just hasn't happened. Which apparently I'm not unattractive, and since I don't care about others options, I literally walk with my head held high, shoulders back, chest out, with as much confidence I can muster. So if I end up not passing on my genes, I'm good with that, if no one wants me, I'm not so dependent on people or needing of human contact to care. I'll just keep living my single life and enjoy everyday until my days are gone. I'm happy being me, fuck anyone who doesn't see the value in me. I'm good as is. Hell, I inhaled so much copium in my youth that at 39, I'm immune to it and had to learn how to legitimately be happy with myself and my life. That, and you can't miss something you've never had, so, I don't need to be in a relationship. I dont even know how to exist in a relationship with someone at this point if I'm being completely honest.
