Billy Kincaid — He doesn't attack anymore.
When I started sculpting Billy Kincaid, I had something simple in mind: a brutal killer mid-charge, knife out, all rage.
Then one of you changed everything.
Jay-Kay left a comment that reframed the whole piece. You didn't see Billy as a man driven by fury — you saw someone who uses trust as his weapon. Someone who doesn't chase his victims. He invites them closer.
That stopped me cold. Because it was truer than my original idea.
So I went back and changed the sculpture.
Billy isn't attacking anymore. He's offering you an ice cream. The knife stays hidden behind his back. A worn-out teddy bear sits at his feet.
I didn't want him to look violent. I wanted him to feel wrong. The kind of man who smiles a little too much. Who makes you hesitate for half a second —
and half a second is all he needs.
Jay-Kay, this wasn't a small tweak. You changed how I understand this character. Thank you for taking the time to share what you saw, and for the reminder that the monsters that disturb us most aren't the ones who attack first. They're the ones who make us feel safe.
So now I want to hear from the rest of you. Does this version say more about who Billy Kincaid is than a straightforward aggressive pose ever could?

Quick note: this is still a work in progress. The main direction is now locked, but I still need to refine a few details before calling it finished.

This looks awesome! Great work making the model come to life. Also glad to hear that actual fans like the motif the model went with! I was a bit worried that I could have ruined the character with my suggestion, knowing nothing about him.

Your comment made me stop thinking about Billy as just a violent killer and start thinking about how he hunted his victims. That shift felt much closer to who he really is. The final design is still my interpretation, but your perspective was the spark that made me rethink the entire scene. That's exactly why I enjoy sharing these projects with everyone. Sometimes a fresh pair of eyes reveals something I hadn't seen myself. So thank you for speaking up. It genuinely made this sculpture stronger.

Thanks, Bob! 😄 Not exactly. Billy never became a Hellspawn like Al Simmons, but later in the comics he was transformed in Hell and eventually bonded with the K7-Leetha symbiote, giving him a much more monstrous appearance. This sculpt is my interpretation of that later version, while still trying to keep the manipulative personality that always defined him. Thanks for asking!
