It seems the second part was inevitable. I wanted to honestly explain how life actually looks right now, because from the outside it probably resembles a TV series written by someone who drinks far too much coffee 🥹🫠
1️ Let’s start with the jaw. Yes, I’m still wearing guard. Basically my main accessory now, just without any fashion freedom. I see the doctor almost every week. The appointment lasts five or ten minutes: he checks whether my jaw is behaving or again trying to live its own independent life, and sometimes files the guard a little. Current forecast is about three more months, maybe longer. The jaw, like life, does not respect planning.
2️ Now taxes. At the end of February I’ll write to the accountant myself and pay the fine for 2025 before the authorities remember me officially. A voluntary confession to destiny. I’m delaying slightly because I simply don’t have the money yet.
3️ But there is good news: in December I sold three paintings and eight calendars. Thanks to that I reduced my car debt and paid off a little bit my old 5000 dollar debt. Slowly I’m climbing out, like a character who refuses to give up even when dramatic music is already playing.
Thank you all for the support, truly. I still have paintings and two calendars left. If you need a gift or just want something on your wall that looks more thoughtful than plain paint, message me. We’ll find something or create one for you. And tell your friends about me. Someone out there is probably looking for space and only finding wallpaper.
I still have debts. And honestly, owing someone is one of the worst feelings. I already imagine the day I pay everything off and celebrate like a person who finally walked out of a very long windowless corridor.
4️ My Polish exam is on February 14–15, this Saturday. So I accept all forms of magical support: crossed fingers, thoughts, invisible applause.
5️ In about a month and a half, on March 31, I can finally terminate the contract with the landlord from my previous apartment. For now I keep pretending I still live there and come show the flat to buyers whenever asked. It’s exhausting. I want to close that chapter and not revisit it even in memories.
6️ The cats are fine now. They’re on medication, calming pills and kidney treatment. Most importantly, none of my belongings have been attacked lately. When the pills finish, I’ll take them for a checkup to make sure we are all officially healthy.
Sometimes I’m shocked how many things happen at once. Apparently life decided to train my multitasking skills professionally. These days I mostly study for the exam and can’t think about anything else.
How do you deal with exams? Do you panic or become strangely calm? Do you have any small rituals that help you survive the night before?
