So, sometimes you discover this podcast at just the right time to reach this fireside as we’re just turning the corner into spring. The sun is warm, and the commute home after going to play capitalism all day doesn’t seem so bad. It’s because of this impeccable timing that you find yourself stopping at a red light, windows rolled down, just as Aabria shouts “SUNNY PUT DOWN THE KNIFE!” followed by no context and breakfast club outro music.

So I’ve been listening to the pod since day one but I’m a relatively new subscriber and binging through these wonderful firesides but I had the wildest realisation listening to this one. Not only did I also get lost in the jungles of Panama paternity in late 2023 but my partner and I were keen on the name Sunny for our little one! There was no way she was going to be called Sunny Parkes though. Instead, that’s been our nickname for her and so hearing Brennan & Izzy land on Sunny as the name cloak for their little wizard was wiiiiild, amazing and touching, even if I’m listening to this when both of our children have been on this earth for more than a year ALREADY A huge belated congratulations to Brennan & Izzy and I hope you are both having as incredible a time being parents as we are. Nothing compares ❤️

You discussed how impactful your parents had been and your start in DnD when you were younger. As I had just gotten my four kids involved in their first campaign, it was wonderful to hear someone I respect supporting the decision. All of this is to say thank you. I know it was just 5 minutes of your time, but it has meant the world to me. I am so happy for you and Izzy, having children is the hardest and most incredible job the two of you will ever have.
