Ok so I know I'm years too late, but at least on Tumblr, one of the big things behind the whole "desexualize everything" movement with so-called progressives was that fictional sex somehow got tied up with exploitation and abuse. Hello, everybody! I've just recently found out that Worlds Beyond Number exists, and I have been DEVOURING content since. Just wanted to chime in with a cute moment. So, I've been listening to the podcast at work with my bluetooth earphones. But sometimes the bluetooth disconnects without me noticing, and when I click play, my computer starts BLASTING the podcast. It's usually nothing too terrible, but this time my computer just shouted, "The Aristocats be FUCKIN'!" Which. Is hilarious and mortifying.
I am really happy to hear Brennan’s sock system and I am trying to forget Aabria and Pace’s methods.

I was just listening to the idioms part 12 episode of the Shmanners podcast and they were talking about the idiom get your goat, and apparently thoroughbred race horses and goats have a long-standing friendship apparently the goats keep the thoroughbreds from getting so anxious - who knew?
So if someone "gets your goat," they have kidnapped your racehorse's emotional support animal to upset the horse before the race? How devious. I always thought it just meant annoying someone, not trying to induce a panic attack

I’m working my way through Adventuring Academies and on the first ep Brennan and Aabria did, she says how much she enjoys a heist game where henchmen pick eachother off and then at the last minute the final henchman is retconned to be the villain the whole time!!!! It makes me goofy happy to see how many long held plans and wants are being realized on WBN

Elementary school teacher here: There were definitely "silly geese" in Charlotte's Web, or at least they have been played that way in a lot of adaptations. In the book they just happen to repeat parts of what they are saying three times. I do much prefer the geese from Aristocats though.
