There's something I caught while re-listening to the entire show. One of the last things Stone says to Suvi during their discussion about the the rules for Grandma Wren's is, "There are few errors more grievous than being unkind to a host or *ungrateful for a service done*..." And that struck me on a relisten because here in episode 12 we are very close to seeing what Orima will do now that her husband may be free. If she is too stubborn to show enough gratitude- then Ame may be able to bargain with her from a place of innate rules of magic, i.e an advantageous place of power.
True, but by the same token the people of Port Talon may learn the consequences of having been ungrateful for the services Naram was doing for them prior to his entrapment. I.e. providing abundant catches to the fishermen. Granted it was the wizards who trapped him, so the everyday citizens may not be held responsible for that particular act, but remember the defaced statue in front of the Ace of Wands? Seems to me it has been humans who were ungrateful first. It could be interesting to see if/how that factors into the equation...
This is the best episode yet. And that is saying something. Everyone understood the assignment. Extra shout out to Taylor. You need more time to do sound editing? Take it! However long need, brother.

I’m only like halfway in but I just need to say that Steel is such a cool character and I love the concept of her so much but the more she talks to Ame the less I trust her and I am DEEPLY upset about that
I've had literal tears in my eyes at the end of this episode, because of how absolutely emotional und epic this moment was! I love Ame and Suvi, they're so dear to me, but Eursulon has such a special place in my heart, I truly wish him nothing but happiness. I think the first words I said out loud at the end of this episode was "they're only level 1!!!" This is so incredible wild... This is already one of my absolute favorite stories I've ever experienced in any shape and you are all such amazing and inspiring story tellers! I hope everyone of you has a great week, because you absolutely made mine!

I'm pretty sure my heart stopped the last ten minutes of this episode: epiccccccccc.
There are so many impactful lines in this episode that I have relistened several times, and there are so many moments where the combination of excellent storytelling and goosebump-inducing sound design-- (hats off to you, Taylor, for truly coming out on top of some of the best out there, this is unreal) had me reacting the same way as though I'd just heard it for the first time! Question for the fireside, applicable to everyone: When you're playing and making those big character choices that we all, as players, wish we could make-- do you ever say a line and instantly know its a fucking banger? (Looking at "Are you vast enough to hold the part of yourself that is eternal?")
Oh my god the mix of emotions through the whole episode had me on the edge of my seat! And that CLIFFHANGER!!? Lou had me almost teary eyed with his last little moment before he brought down the sword.

A couple of questions for fireside: Brennan: I’ve heard you discuss/use the Prisoner’s Dilemma on a few different drop out shows. What is it about this type of moral quandary that you find interesting and well suited to D&D? Is it the potential for PvP, just the dramatic tension, or something else. Absolutely loved the scenarios you set up for the players (especially the one on one talks with Steele). Aabria, Erika, and Lou: How do you handle/enjoy being in the prisoner’s dilemma situation, especially when it sounds like you guys stayed in the room during “private convos”? Is it difficult to balance meta gaming during a scenes like this?

Still not done. This is the first time I have been mad at the players. They had all gone back to their rooms in the Chantry. Ame hears Ursulon making a ruckus and goes to see what's wrong; how does Suvi hear nothing? And how does Ame not think to pick up Suvi on the way to the armory? Off we go on separated wild goose chases again immediately, and I don't believe it. Ursulon has quest fever, but Ame isn't that stupid. If nothing else, she would have sent the fox to get Suvi.

I had goose pimples for half this episode. Tears in my eyes for the last like 10%. Such beautiful storytelling, such amazing music/audio, such incredible people doing this together.
