This is def my fave dnd show at this point, really happy with the depth y'all are bringing to the characters, the themes, and the world, while also letting your natural humor and friendships shine through. I'm bracing myself for when the issues the characters have been carrying separately all these years come to head now that they are back together and more exposed, but I think I have some time as y'all are letting yourselves take your time with the narrative; another welcome change from so many other dnd shows. 👏

Brennan as Orima. Good grief.

This show is amazing and this might be the best episode yet.

This was incredible.

Last episode was the PCs being mean to each other and this episode was Brennan being mean to everybody.

Orima's commentary on how Eursulon is stuck between the spirit world and the profoundly human ideal of honor was fascinating to me. It got me thinking about the epithet used for the spirits: "Honored Friends". The term seems to be one of those lies the society tells itself and believes mentioned in previous firesides. I see honoring something as giving respect to something honorable, yet through Orima's words and her vengeful attitude, it doesn't seem that spirits are particularly honorable, nor do they seem particularly friendly. On the human side, it is clear that much of the world has stopped honoring the spirits and some see them as resources to exploit rather than friends to cherish. So, I wonder if "Honored Friends" is in reference to a bygone relationship between the spirits and humanity, or is it an obfuscation that society wishes were true that hides a darker reality?

Orima’s aggression towards the party and her lack of regard for the devastation left in her wake shows just how much nature does what it wants. I love how Orima speaks as if her truths about spirits is absolute but we don’t even have enough knowledge of the spirit world to blindly believe she’s right.

Give my boy Ursalon a break he went through one portal found a shiny as a kid lol

Watching nepo baby at the war crimes factory getting snubbed by Orima is incredibly satisfying as an Ame coded freak with smart friends 🩷

That STRESSFUL swelling music at the end of this episode followed by the inevitable cut off... AAAAAAAAAAAAH. I don't want to wait for the next part of the story. T_T

I have literally never encountered an episode of anything, ever, that made me feel every single emotion available to human. I love it so much, I kinda want to throw up.

If I knew where to post Fireside Chat questions, I promise I would put it there. As it is, I unfortunately only know this place? So, pls see my fireside question below: Brennan, did you always know that Orima (and I suspect other Great Spirits) would respond (or not respond, really) to Suvi the way she did? It feels like all the moments of Suvi questioning*why* Ame was doing the things she was doing to honor the spirits were all leading up to this moment where Ame is worthy of being acknowledged by this Goddess of the Woods, whereas Suvi--proud and ferocious and akin to Orima in her fury--is not just ignored, but absolutely does not exist to this Honored Friend, and I am GAGGED OVER IT. I guess I'm wondering, how intentional is a lot of the foreshadowing the group has done? Is it just the players leaving juicy little morsels on the ground for Brennan to collect after? Or is this an art that us plebians cannot comprehend that the four of you are masters in?

I absolutely love the duality of Eursolon and am excited for how balancing the two world will develop for him, were there any thoughts beforehand on this issue and any vision on how you wanted it to develop?

Ohhhhh so back at the mushroom spirit in the children's adventure, the pauldron in conjunction with Ursolon (this is probably wrong..) protecting Ame (please someone correct me if this is wrong as well..) was the activation of his breath (representing his honor) that reflected that last strike back at the mushroom spirit?! 😱😱😱😱😱 AHHHHHH🤩

Just want to shout out the recap at the start- at the same time beautifully written, narrated, scored, and produced, as well as hugely informative!! *chef's kiss* 😘🤌

Yet another fantastic episode!! I know alot goes into them but i wish they came out faster becasue I need to know what happens next!!! Also cant wait for part 2 of the one shot!

I feel a way about the sound design that is extremely normal and good and not at all that I’ve gone weak at the knees and swooned I swear.

I feel so much for Eursolon. The way he beats down on himself so much that he believes it to his core even when his found family shows him otherwise. Truly tragic

You hit the ball out of the ballpark so much in this show, in sound, in character performance, in setting Just wow

gaht daym. every episode is a five-star all-you-can-eat BUFFET of brain treats.I swear there should be a warning to not operate heavy machinery while listening because one of these days I will straight up drive into a telephone pole and you'll find me, my head gently resting on the airbag, eyes glazed over and a wide grin on my face because I'm 100% not present or aware of my surroundings while listening to WWW. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

That was so tense! I’m curious what would’ve happened if Lou had succeeded on that persuasion check to speak with Orima as a fellow spirit.

Ok, so I was listening on the way to work while half asleep standing and hanging off the wrist strap on the metro. The Stereoscopic Brennen as Orima was so creepy it woke me the hell up. Well done.

Oh my god 🫣 That was truly scary. AMAZING sound editing Taylor, and wow Brennan I felt like I was hold my breath that whole episode. Now I have to wait two weeks to find out how they escape alive. 🫠

That whole conversation between Orima, Ame and Eursolon at the end was so tense and immersive! It really feels like Ame’s moment of coming into her own as a Witch, acting as a communicator between the Spirit World and the people of Port Talon, being kind and respectful without ever backing down on her defence of the city even though her life was at risk. Just incredible stuff

I thought... back then in the children adventure... that I had cried all my tears for a while... when Ursalon met Sir Couren... AND YOU MAKE ME RELIVE THAT?! I'm broken. (and i love it)

Oh my GOD it’s like every episode Erika finds new ways to make Ame even cooler

Of course this long form stuff is just a festival of cliffhangers. Of course it is.

I'm so happy to see every episode and then I'm yelling NOOO YALL ARE CRUEL FOR LEAVING ME HERE at the end of every one
