[Patreon Exclusive] World Turner Cast Video
We hope you're enjoying World Turner so far! Our cast had to delve deep into an apocalypse/survivalist mindset while embodying these characters, and we wanted to plumb those depths with some questions. And we got 'The Star Spangled Banner' as a result.

If you haven't already, check out our upcoming content calendar to see what we've got coming up in the next month. And the next episode of World Turner will be released next Tuesday, Sept. 29th!
So, kaiju attack, alien invasion, or zombie apocalypse? Let us know in the comments.

I love your guys' content so much, and I SO appreciate that you release transcripts for all of your stuff, but please, I am begging you, invest in putting real captions on your videos. PLEASE. I have hearing problems and YT's auto-generated captions are garbage, plus they censor so much. Transcripts are great, but they can't replace actual captioning.
Ally finally remembering the star spangled banner is really funny
I agree with water, but I really feel like the way to go in a Kaiju situation is to grab a fire extinguisher. (Assuming it’s a fiery Kaiju? A Fi-ju??)
Nice
These characters have such a great dynamic I would watch a series of just them all hanging out and getting into wacky situations
I feel as though using human history as the lens in which we imagine extraterrestrial first contact will always lead to the fear of harm for our culture and our people. It is because we fear our own humanity, with the historical context to back up that fear, and cannot imagine a world in which conscious entities that are non human could behave differently than we have behaved towards each other. This hidebound value judgement makes it difficult for us to imagine aliens who would think of the universe and its life as precious or worthy of a conservationist effort. I think that if aliens have learned to traverse the universe they would have also learned to extract resources cleanly and efficiently rather than destructively. Traveling all this way to terraform or destroy a backwater planet and subsequently its people seems silly given the resources of the universe readily available to them
100% Station 11 vibes for an apocalypse. No Zombies ..,ever…Aliens? I’m thinking Falling Sky’s. But if I’m thinking Star Trek, they’ve already swung by earth and realized human have not evolved enough to make contact. Unfortunately as a society we have not mastered the techniques of being there for one another. War, hate, conflict..is what fuels the media. Which is why I escape to the dice…of course I don’t know how to use the dice but I can still enjoy the company 🤗❤️🦊🔥
I don’t know why Ally showing up makes it so immediately homey, but that’s what happened
Is BLeeM doing okay? He looks a lot like my husband did after we had baby number two and he was living on no sleep, no real meals, Red Bull, and anticapitalist spite.

I needed this laugh today, thanks y'all.
There was a brief moment in time when Brennan and I were in New York at the same time. And I think that’s special
Glad Ally got to redeem themselves with the national anthem after all these years
This was a journey 😂
Brennan being extremely relatable: wow what a compliment somethingsomething soft skills, unflappable, oh yeah I have a lighter and am CPR certified. Last week I was chatting with friends and someone said if there was a bystander situation, they’d want me there because I’d actually do something. I immediately went Well how kind! I’d like to think I’d act…anecdote about distracting an abusive man so a woman could run away…oh right I have several bystander training certificates
I had a dream…that one day nerds of all colors and cultures would come together…to butcher the national anthem. I had a dream!
Brennan actually having a lighter is the most on brand he’s ever been 😂
I love how they are positing some kind of hypothetical apocalypse as if their knowledge of storytelling and ability to make us laugh hasn’t helped us all survive the last couple of apocalypses. Kaiju attacks not yet, but definitely they’ve seen us through more apocalyptic events than I have fingers.
not ally having national anthem flashbacks 🤣
In the real world people should join their local Community Emergency Response Team. Many cities will have one. https://www.fema.gov/emergency-managers/individuals-communities/preparedness-activities-webinars/community-emergency-response-team.
Brennan’s skill? Most important thing I learned from Madam Web is that the chest compressions that are a part of CPR are apparently have multiversal effects on people.
Ally knows the lyrics now 😅
Thank you for keeping Wally decent.
I'm buying a lighter after this. Update: id imagine if you wind up eating a cup of dry rice for the calories, you should drink at least a cup and a half of water
The in between music just makes me feel like this is an episode of Family Guy
Other Kaiju stories: "Mankind mistreated the earth, and that strife resulted in Kaiju." WBN Kaiju story: "A young romance was SO uncomfortably awkward, that Kaiju had to attack."
Godzilla just biding his time at the bottom of the sea listening to Cull and Abigail like “oh ffs just break up already I can’t take this RRAAAAAHHHHHRRR”
Wow. The incredible urge to break into a zealous rendition of our anthem at any time seems to be particular to the millennial generation. XD I was also there in the LES when the ConEd station blew during Superstorm Sandy and remember how immediately everything went to complete shit without power. It's like Brennan said - it's not that the storm was itself necessarily "super", it's that the city's hubris made people think it wasn't going to be that bad, so they didn't sandbag properly and stock up the way they had from Irene. So when the ConEd station blew and the pumps stopped, and then the city just froze, people in Manhattan were immediately flung into complete disarray. I remember the haggling over batteries and bread. I remember the first elevation of shops going up into midtown that were half frozen with water by Halloween. That was the wild thing for me that I will never forget - the haunting way that simply frozen water had reclaimed the land. Walking through a city sunk three feet in ice. Cars frozen up to their side mirrors. Double Down Saloon open by the light of a million hazardous candles. I lived on the 18th floor of a project building and they had to run a hose from a nearby rec center pool to get us water that we hauled up everyday. People's etiquette turned literally to shit as some folks just dropped trow wherever they were to relieve themselves because it was supposedly just that apocalyptic. But the really surreal part was that just a short march across the Williamsburg to friends in the BK got you to friends' places that were still lit, warm, and watered. Sandy was crazy because of that - it was almost entirely a man-made event. And shout out to all the families and businesses that were totally fucked out of proper reimbursement for their flooded properties by a defunded FEMA cutting corners wherever they could. I lost my job because the restaurant I worked at couldn't bounce back. I feel like media likes to make out the natural event as the apocalypse when in actuality its a series of man-made horrors that pit humans against each other.
Ohtani jumpscare.

Mutually assured self-destruction is such a vibe
There is a kindness in Lou's heart that will be destroyed when Aabria rips that still beating heart from his chest.
We now need a full Wally Fireside video. Thank you very much lol
You sure know how to spark curiosity, this post and the comment section 🙏🇺🇸🤣...
I just know Aabria would win that fight
Thank you for some much needed bone cone
Delightful, you weirdos are my kinda people
Ally has come a long way with the lyrics to the national anthem 😂😂😂
Not the BIPOCALypse Lou!
I love the immediate reaction of Erika and Lou to Brennan’s classic dual processing comment “i love that”. They easily slide into an intense focus on Brennan trained from all the other times he has said it to keep a game or chat on track. Waiting for a DM exposition, an in depth comment with a lead into the next phase of the show/interview/fireside learned from all the years playing at the same table. Love a well oiled machine that leaves room for play and conversation ❤️
I've a question for Brennan: Beyond the unflappability and preparedness you claim, where do you think your unshakable decision making comes from? Is this something you were born with, was nurtured, perhaps you discovered it at a young age, or maybe it's just something you've learned to lean into more over time?
Doesn't work for me, tells me to sign in to youtube but then doesn't bring me to the video
The cast singing the anthem wasn't on my bingo card lol
Truly a bizarre and hilarious moment
“Kill Aabria Iyengar” Lou…she has a steel spine and MADE A BABY! You have no shot. Unless she is distracted taking care of either of her babies (the Wizard See or Erika) AND YOU’RE BUSY FLEEING!!
“Hello police? Disband immediately” The best part of waking up is ACAB in my podcast ☕️
"I got ACAB in my podcast, and Brennan is holding a flaming lighter" - Alanis Morrisette, probably
Why is this the first im seeing of Wally?
Wally: The Avatar of the Avatar of the People, Office Dog, and the Goodest Boy!! Wally looks like a little scruffy stuffy come to life and I’m in love 😍
I love you Lou but my money's on Aabria
Hard same, I dare you to say that to her when she's in the room 🤣
