I’m not gonna lie I just woke up thinking about godzilla and realized it’s called kaiju and then thought “huh I’ve seen that word before” and remembered I saw that was about this. so now this is my first WBN campaign I’m listening to LMAO

I know it can't happen, but as soon as they described the municipal dryad, I saw Ent Voltron with Erika's character piloting the head.

I could listen to 100,000 hours of this, I’m already so sad it isn’t a full campaign!

Regarding running until you taste blood, that’s exactly what’s happening! It’s a pulmonary edema and it’s bc your alveoli are bursting from the high air pressure. It’s especially common in cold weather bc the air in your lungs is expanding 🤓🫁

Just wanted to say that Wicklow is a cointy in Ireland and exactly the sort of place a farmer would grow up and move away from to go to college, so i fully thought this campain was set partially in real world Ireland and im still holding out hope that it might be

Wow, Lou!!! What a captivating first ep. The music, the intricate world building, the magnetic and lovable characters, Ally Beardsley. I was immediately sucked in by the heartfelt set up followed by the last minute of heart pounding anxiety. I both can't wait for and am dreading to hear what happens next.

Fully forgot about the Kaiju. Halfway through the campaign I was like: what a cute little story. Then I remembered 😭🤣 SO EXCITEDDDDDDD

I love Lou as a player character but you really get the sense when Lou is a DM that he has spent countless hours around tables drinking coffee and tea with every mom or aunt or caring friend in his life. Talking as much as listening while sunsets or sunrises illuminate the backdrop of conversation. Those conversations that just as easily explore life changing advice as it does the inconsequential or irreverent. I have always loved Lou’s choices as a player character in regards to family - the lived experience of duty and honor, of expectation and family lore, and the love that brings us to the point of breaking so that we can live with the least regret possible. As a DM it is all there still but its gentler more mature, like he has stepped into his own history displayed for us to appreciate how a caring casual word from a loved one can be a strong motivator all its own. Cant wait for episode 2 ❤️

I don’t drink, but a buddy of mine does. One day I made a drink that was about 50% Mountain Dew and 50% orange juice. After he tried it, he said it tasted like a mimosa. Boom, mimosa soda! Since I grew up Mormon I called it a Mormosa. lol

Holy shit, Beardsley is so damn amazing with a slightly more serious tone. Like, don't get me wrong, I appreciate the sillier characters they do on D20, but this feels absolutely next level for them.

Every morsel of this episode was such a delicious treat, I fall in love at every detail, and then I remember this is a Kaiju campaign and I go "....oh no....."

Holy shit I find myself relating to Cullen so hard this is so fucked (and by that I mean this podcast is off to an amazing start and I am so excited to see where these three freaks end up!!!)

What an incredible atmosphere built over 3 hours, I almost forgot this was a Kaiju story. I'm absolutely dreading and eagerly anticipating more of this story!
