i promise the poetry people are alive and well… in brooklyn. my dear friend just told me abt a poetry reading they attended in the gowanus staples parking lot where all the poems were about the gowanus staples specifically.

With the joke about making t-shirts with "dat aft," all I could think of was the sheer number of Transformers fans that would gleefully and/or solemnly nod along

I remember from the liner notes on the Peter Gabriel CD that "In Your Eyes" was his attempt to write a song in the manner of a particular African tribe where the song is ambiguous as to whether it is praising a lover, or praising God. I thought this was really appropriate for our little religious mechanical lover boy. Then I found out Brennan is talking about blasting a dude with laser eyes. Umm, right, I guess there's that too.

I had a dream where Erika and Reggie Watts were talking to each other at a kind of DIY experimental electronic music show. They were standing across a table covered with synths and stuff, leaning on it while talking. I was nearby hearing only snippets at a time, when they shifted their conversation to trading single words. The words became increasingly complex and nonsensical, like "grumsinble" and "uvshuveen", and their tone and facial expressions became more competitive and possibly flirty. The folks I was with and I decided to give them more space, so I don't know how their interaction progressed or concluded, and because it was a dream the whole thing likely changed to some completely other thing. I woke up thoroughly entertained. My only regret is not remembering the actual nonsense words, since they were coming up with some great ones. (I have no clue of where else I should post this, so you all get it here. You're welcome?)

Y'all, I went on a deep dive on "-m" and it goes hard on the symbolism here. It is used in the programming language Python for, among other things, running pre-built utilities. The kind of thing that might be conceptually, or literally, embodied by XLZL. I can't believe how accidentally brilliant Brennan was on this one. Normally his brilliance is intentional.🤣 (Anybody who actually KNOWS coding can feel free to savagely correct me if I am completely misunderstanding this.😅)

Stating this for posterity, I think Heranak (the Orena under Zee's father), is positioning himself to inherit the duty of overseeing the Dyson Swarm. We already know that via the data pad on the Kenner, that Orena will hide their origin via contract. And due to XL-ZL's prelude we know the Third Logic is that Extremity is Perdition. Heranak has forsaken the Orena in order to dedicate themselves to the service of the Dyson Swarm, in order to save their sun. This has labeled Haranak as an apostate to the Orena, as he has shown a willingness to isolate and remove themself from the L-Drive and Minus M. He may have also initiated the cull on Zee because Zee was always meant to inherit his father's work, at least in his father's eyes. As long as Zee lives, they are a threat to that long term plan of inheriting the Dyson Swarm which threatens the sun.

Way before puns were the groan-inducing fare of barbecue dads, they were seen by various ancient cultures—particularly mesopotamian-adjacent—as sort of a sacred, powerful, divine thing. Kind of like the way anglo languages developed this occult connotation around rhyming/spells/witchcraft.

Fun thing: -m is actually used in coding in Python. It’s basically used to go “run this module”. So I honestly was just thinking “yeah this is coding or something”
