I may have missed this info somewhere but do we know what system this game is being run on? Is it still DnD with custom sci-fi flavor or something totally different? I'm totally fascinated by the effects of Andre's tech and Kiki's.... what I assume passes for magic in this world, and so curious if Lou homebrewed all this or if its out-of-a-box somewhere. (Also Lou is AMAZING as a DM and I hope he keeps up with it)

Long time listener, first time caller. I'm in love with the vibe in this campaign. I've been DMing dnd since 4e. It's actually annoyingly really hard to deliver a visceral action setting, to the point where players feel both adrenaline and the deep emotions which caused it, in the turn based tabletop system we love to tell stories together. Video games make it look so easy, but translating that sort of emotionally fulfilling experience into SW5e, well Lou seems to be a savant.

We know there is no Icaron Fireside this Tuesday. Should we expect no content, bone cone of some 'wait and see' variety, or (least likely) right into Icaron E3? Just trying to plot out my schedule appropriately.

The dichotomy of having my heart drop when Andre thinks Sophie is already dead and me giggling my head of at Andre shouting about her messy room and suggesting to weld her shut in her bathroom

The description of Fishcakes slitting that guy's throat just so he couldn't scream was perfect. Just in general, I love the care Erika gives to their characters' complex backgrounds. Having been the traumatized eldest child in a survival situation, I can vouch that you do embrace a kind of effortless brutality after realizing that it allows you to (finally) protect the other children in your orbit. And kid brains also just don't have a lot of room for nuance, so they will tend to go for the jugular (literal or otherwise). 10/10 character choice, and I'm excited to see what happens next.

So here’s the thing: my rational and logical self wants these beloved creators to have all the time and space in the world to create these incredible, enchanting stories. I am just one billion percent on board for ANYTHING these people make together. And the release schedule is in fact a good and predictable schedule, that any reasonable person would look at and say, “yes, this is good.” So, why do I, immediately upon finishing an episode, queue it up to restart immediately, and then I commence to tearing my hair out that there isn’t MORE, RIGHT NOW???? Give me more of your beautiful stories! Feed them DIRECTLY INTO MY BRAIN! How dare you create such delightful, meaningful, thoughtful content, honestly? I’m sorry I’m like this, at least some of it’s the adhd but the rest of it is just me
This reminds me of Brennan's comment on one of the Adventuring Parties for Crown of Candy, when he sent love to the audience that was watching this very dramatic story week to week. He pointed out that people who came to the story later would be able to go straight into the next episode and not be stuck hanging over the cliff each time. It was running during lockdown and that made it worse.

Definitely feels like she is in on it whether accidental or purposefully. An NPC that is building tension for brenan who will eventually have to have a deep emotional reaction with consequences... Suspish for sure 🤣. Honestly any NPC that knows any of these story tellers I'm betting on betrayal, a complex duex machina, or a thread that will unravel and connect the entire story throughout it's arc.

My blood stayed cold after Brennan interpreting that Nat One as André believing his kid was dead and possibly froze in terror/ disgust when the kid was grabbed by the neck. Maybe a deep cut, but if anyone's ever made the mistake (in my opinion) of watching Ransom, the scene where the mother vomits after hearing the bullets fire on the phone comes to mind. I get why you asked Erika to not make a small child, Lou, jfc. If they had, I probably wouldn't be able to listen to this. Also, from a country with adequate gun laws, fk the NRA.
If they ever crossed dimensions, I think Kiki and Moonshine Cybin would be absolute party animals together. 😆

Brennan narrating Andre's action: "I am not doing anything heroic. I am getting on the floor." That was painful especially in our current timeline. And then Andrei wanting to weld Sophie into the bathroom, and Aabria saying, "A glimpse into Brennan's future," was great.
Brennan’s immediate reaction of essentially “DON’T YOU PUT THAT EVIL ON ME, RICKY BOBBY!!!” was so relatable 😂

It’s too short Lou! It’s too short 😭 Loving this series and all its characters. Lou is doing an amazing job as GM and Brennan is so fun to see as a PC! I hunger for more!
A force blast, crackle crackle. Lou as GM is a delight and I find myself trying to figure out how much of bag it or tag it and Class Action made it into the campaign if at all . The thrill of listening to Brennan being a PC and Lou creating compelling emotional stakes is so fun and funny. It just feels really good listening to a bunch of friends, making a story together, for the thrill and love of the art and each other. Also, brutal moves by Fishcakes but if her breath smells so bad wouldn't they have smelled her coming? Or is the smell only when she's talking? Doesn't matter.
I don’t know if anyone clocked it, but Brennan mentioning the “Venomous look” Dalka gives when Kiki says “Yes we do.” Was beautiful!! I hope that we get to learn more about what that means for Andre Dalka’s backstory!!✨😆 LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!!

Oooh the sound design! The ever-present tension and the background hum of the ship! AAARGH i didn't want the episode to end. I listened to this at 5 am, keeping quiet the whole time except for Kiki's "maternal" line. v glad i didn't have any water in my mouth at that moment.

Wow Space Firesiders, I don’t know about anyone else, but the first 8 minutes of this episode really got me. Maybe it was the surprise shooting of a likable woman character but it hit close to home this week—some real sympathetic dissociation going on… but still a banger of an episode!
Lou is absolutely thriving as DM. Can't wait for more!
Fishcakes strikes me as kind of a "celebrity river tam" character. Especially as there is some oddness in the background, and the quasi super human stabbing and fighting seems to suggest some kind of secret experience.
