I am so late to the party, but it was gratifying that I'm not the only one thirsting hardcore for Sworn. I feel so seen.
Is it just me, or is Suvi getting people killed. In a quest, against orders, just to rescue her boyfriend? She is so arrogant and self righteous
It's just you! Her emotions and relationship to Silver play a part in her decision-making but she was also uniquely situated to make a complex strategic move that may or may not pay off, but could save a lot of people! She is a flawed character, as are ALL of the characters in this world because they are well-written, interesting characters worth telling a story about. Would you prefer a character was perfect from the start of a story, learn no lessons, not change in any way as the story progresses and not have the story relate to their backstory and who they are as a character?

Lou and his various persona's feel like the person in a group chat that just waits until the perfect moment before dropping a perfect comedic nugget and then disappearing for another length of time

can we have the Horner Corner do like a "build your ideal masc golem" segment next fireside? it can be picking one option from a couple of categories to construct your perfect hotness, something like: - Body: Skinny, Muscular, or Kinda Athletic Dad Bod - Skill: Competent/Decisive (like Sworn), Handy, or a Great Cook - Trait: Hilarious, In Touch w/ Emotions, or Brilliantly Smart it's the content we all need!

Jumping aboard the Hot, Competent Wizard Sworn train! Personally, I instantly headcanoned him as a lot like Kim Kitsuragi - not conventionally hot, perhaps, but DEFINITELY hot. Real ones will understand.

I never realized how badly I've been undervalued what Talor brings until "Sending". The score as the sorceror blazes through the sky like some hellenistic god gave me chills. I imagine how it might feel to these low level characters: like Myceneans soldiers watching Apollo fly in and perform some act of cosmic terror.

I'm curious to see how that battle affects Sky and the party with her, specifically her choice to sacrifice Sully. He had one one hp, no jaw, and was likely going to die. It was a LOGICAL decision, but friendly fire is friendly fire. How do her her comrades that have to follow her into the next fight feel about that? I might be overthunking it. R.I.P. the wizard Sully.

I want Erika to know that the Ghibli movies she chose as examples of the tonal shift between Ame/Eursulon's stories and Suvi's story made my husband, who has not started listening to this show but had been interested, begin to reconsider his interest in listening. I, having never actually watched a Ghibli movie, thought his reaction when I said 'and I can't remember the title but it had something to do with fireflies' was HILARIOUS. Then he told me what that movie is about. YIKES 😬

I was specifically thinking about this sort of idea. For myself I have a Captain Suvi "here's the goal" decision mode, and then I will go Sworn mode and it is all about what is the most optimal way to reach the goal? There have been situations where I've gotten a few questions on my implementation where my answer was "I did not optimize for that" in response to whatever the criticism is. Mostly from my unreasonable ex-wife, but still.

I love Brennans use of world building with the spirits, and how it still ties back to ghibli when you think about spirited away and Haku WAS the kohaku river. A big thing can just be one guy that likes soup or a whole dragon
