Mr. Taylor Moore, sir, we need to have words… Starting Suvi’s eulogy for her fallen companions off with the same notes for taps was absolutely filthy work. Caught me completely off guard. I was ready for their paths to diverge a little bit, they all need breathing room and processing time after the adventures of Indry’s winter wonderland. But I am excited for Eursalon and Ame to get some visual intel / data on what the Citadel is up to. Side note: Still thinking about Ghost and what her fate was.
Maybe this is my own misunderstanding, maybe I'm just being That Guy, but in really stuck on the whole key stone barrier thing. Suvi went through all the trouble of breaking the passkey into six pieces for herself and her retaining companions, and then Ame, Eursulon, and the Fox roll up on a ROC. I was like "oh shit oh shit, this whole mountain is going to descend on them, if not for the bird then for crossing the barrier without a passkey. But it didn't come up? Maybe it will next episode? It felt like such a pivotal misstep tactically but they had time to talk to Old Wallowroot and get the horses up to the safer passage. Granted, a whole ass sorcerer showed up, but seemingly just to deal with the roc. Did I miss something or am I jumping the gun on story beats?
The Wizard Sworn is making me feel big *gonna F this old man* vibes, just purely based on competence alone.

Prediction: the Coven’s assault on the Citadel leads to witchunting and Empire Proper
Suvi risking everything (even other people who can't say no to her commands) for someone she loves and who just told her he loves her makes so much sense. The loss of her parents and her grief plays so well into her inability to leave any chance of him being savable--last time she could only sit around and be hidden, now she has agency and power to fight like hell to get to him. I am so in love with this story ❤️
I swear, if they hurt a feather on Firebringer's gigantic head, I will leap through this screen and lay that sorcerer *out*!
This episode was so good — I am now very impatient with the every-other-week release schedule!
I do have to keep reminding myself Suvi is 20 and making bad descions about boys makes alot for sense.
I know this is a story of, in part, war and its consequences, and Brennan is serving that story at every turn, but this brutality is killing me, haha. It's funny, my first instinct is anger. "BRENNAN WTF NO." But after sitting with it, contextualizing it, all I'm left with is respect! Love the show, keep it up!

Oh yes, but also, I love how Eursulon is immediately like "oh, this is about Silver? Yes, I'll help!" It's a fun reminder that Eursulon considers Silver a friend. They spent time together back in the citadel, and although he isn't his True Friend, they are friends nonetheless. And ofcourse, he does it for Suvi too
If I'm Eursilon, it's about 3 minutes til choo-choo train time.

Here's a thought, would Banish send Ursalon home permanently, or temporarily?
Might send him to the spirit realm but not any region he calls home and not one he can easily egress out of to get where he wants to go. Also, part of being wayshadowed seems to be the way in which his spirit is bound, which is to say that being banished right now, his home realm might not technically be the spirit realm at all.
The Royal Sorcerer probably used banish... not an unfair thing if it got him home. A.G.

When eursulon felt disappointed truly for one of the first times ever i felt it in my soul Also i don’t think we’re gonna check on FIFI (which makes me sad😭) which will add on to suvi not caring about spirits and ame won’t want to leave suvi even after she made that promise. So fingers crossed eursulon flips shit and goes off on them soon hopefully no more them 3-4 episodes

I've said it before but I'll say it again, you guys always deliver with this show, each episode is a treat!!!
For as chill as Eursilon is, I can feel a storm of rage and resentment building. I would fully lose it at the last scene, were I him.
I think after seeing Ame’s thoughtlessness (the lie at the Conclave and the promise to Fifi) and Suvi’s belief that spirits in Umora ‘get what they get’, Eursulon has more than earned the right to tell them about themselves.

I saw Aabria during her run at Twenty-Sided Tavern and she made this comment during stagedooring that her dice hate her unless Suvi's being a cop, which I think continues to be truer than EVER right now (in the best and most interesting way possible).

I THINK that Fifi was just sent back to the spirit realm. That's my hope. I think if that's the case and Ursalon finds out, he's gonna have a HARD time not joining up with Gaothmai, especially since that's where so much of his family lives.
That fight had me on the edge of my seat!!!! I feel like most of the physical fights in this arc are gonna feel like true struggles for survival (like oh this can end badly) and I’ll be holding my breath each time 😭😭😭!

Everyone has their own play style! Remember that these people have been playing for years and have centered their professional careers around APs. You can learn a lot from this series but as long as you’re having fun and not judging yourself too hard in TTRPGS you’re good 😊.

I saw it less about the Empire being made up of non-wizards and more to do with the fact that the Empire interferes with the workings and aims of the Citadel to get the wizards to do stuff that the Empire wants. Like, the Empire has pushed for the Citadel to be a military arm of the Empire--not necessarily that the Citadel wanted that from the jump. So maybe wizards feel some type of way about that.
