Did they explain how Suvi got to add so many new spells upon level up? If they did I missed it...
Her subclass lets her put 2d8 (? I think, not going back to search for it) spells into her spellbook and I think she rolled fairly high, or at least average. Makes sense; the Citadel is all about extensive learning and preparation, particularly as a war mage. (Also makes sense for a campaign that probably isn’t going to go through the motions of constantly looking for spell scrolls to copy. She has her own library.)
I was an absolute mess listening to Eursulon and Stripe have their reunion. It was wonderfully heartbreaking
All the violent spell Suvi has! Exciting. Hopefully next time she’ll pick up some ritual spells. That way she won’t be so spell slot dependent. 6 spell slots may feel like a lot, but they can go quick (especially if there aren’t many short/long rests)
Suvi is absolutely going to fall off that ship. Within a certain, loose definition of Fall.

I know Arc 3 has already been recorded, but I do hope Lou knows that Eursulon is also a "Prep Caster" like Ame is [Charisma Modifier] + [1/2 Paladin lvl, rounded down] spells that can be prepared after every long rest! No need to limit yourself! You too can pick your spell list depending on your mood (and whether you choose Violence like Suvi haha)

I love that the levelling up in this game is not just some magical thing that randomly happens but tied to character and plot development. I've just started DMing my first homebrew campaign and it inspired to try something like this with my players and they are so into it. Thanks all for the stories and the inspiration.

I have had an incredibly hard time lately; it feels like everything in my life has gone off the rails. This podcast is one of the few bright spots I have right now. What you all are doing here is fucking amazing and I'm looking forward to years and years of stories. Thank you for sharing yourselves and your characters with us. It means more than I could ever possibly say.

How come Suvi learned SO many spells for this level up? What was that downtime roll for? Is it a Wizard of the Citadel thing?
She got to add 2d6 worth of spells to her book for being a member of the citadel as a down time activity
Aabriiaaaaaa... stop being so good at playing this Wizard 😭 I hate HER (whether that's entirely her fault or not, she be makin' choices that have consequences) and you're doing it too well that I nearly forget to delineate!
They are all great characters but Suvi development wise is the most interesting one to me. Suvi wouldn't have to make these decisions if her friends would slow down and think. The internal conflict of this party is fantastic.

It’s going to be so interesting to see if Eursulon aligns himself ideologically with his spirit kin (which I assume would be Oath of the Ancients) or his friends (possibly Oath of Devotion or Crown). I can’t wait. …I just got to Suvi’s new spell selection and I’m clawing at the walls.
He might end up with a custom one like how suvi and ame have custom classes/subclasses?

Even years later Calamity has so ruined me that when they were reading out the secret of warp and weft and "you can see the weakest point" I couldn't help but think "are you weaker at the elbow or the shoulder." Suvi would know the answer to that now! 😬
