ECU Tuner Pro β User Manual Update #2
π *ECU Tuner β User Manual Update #2 (Extended Systems & Features)*
This update significantly expands the user manual with deeper technical explanations and several new systems. The goal is not just configurability, but clear understanding of how each system behaves in real driving conditions.
---
*Active Suspension*
Expanded with full dynamic control logic. The system now clearly explains how stiffness reacts in real time to speed, longitudinal and lateral G-forces, and traction conditions. Includes behavior under acceleration, braking, and cornering, plus continuous interpolation instead of fixed states.
---
*Cruise Control*
Now documented as a real-time feedback system. The manual explains how throttle is continuously adjusted based on speed error, including limits like Max TPS and response rate behavior. This makes it much clearer how the system maintains stable speed under load changes.
---
*Progressive Power Steering*
Extended explanation of dynamic steering assist based on speed zones (City / Highway / Autobahn) with smooth interpolation between them. Also includes engine-dependent steering behavior and advanced force feedback simulation based on real-time inputs.
---
*Flex Fuel System*
Detailed breakdown of ethanol-based tuning. Covers fuel selection (N95 / N100 / E85), real-time ethanol sensing, and how AFR and ignition maps adapt based on fuel composition. Includes practical trade-offs between performance, efficiency, and knock resistance.
---
*Knock Control & Engine Protection*
Significantly expanded into a full ECU-style protection system. Includes knock detection logic, ignition retard, AFR enrichment, boost reduction, and recovery timing. Also simulates real engine damage behavior under sustained knock conditions.
---
*Adjustable Camshaft Timing (Cam Wheels)*
Full explanation of cam timing effects on engine behavior:
* Power distribution across RPM range
* Turbo spool and boost response
* Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) impact
* Intake vs exhaust cam balance
Includes practical tuning strategies for turbo, naturally aspirated, and street setups.
---
*VTEC System Control*
Complete system breakdown with real tuning logic:
* Activation based on RPM, TPS, and coolant temperature
* Real-time switching behavior between cam profiles
* Clear explanation of low-RPM vs high-RPM operation
Example setup:
* VTEC activates above 5500 RPM
* Requires more than 80% throttle
* Requires coolant temperature above 60Β°C

This update brings the manual closer to real ECU documentation, focusing on system behavior, control logic, and practical tuning impact.
More systems and advanced features coming next.
*ECU Tuner Pro Manual β Update #1*
Weβve expanded the user manual with several new sections focused on advanced engine management features, diagnostics tools, and performance tuning support. This update adds approximately 10 new pages of detailed explanations, usage guidelines, and real-world tuning logic.
*Newly Added Sections:*
β’ *EGT Control*
Added full explanation of exhaust gas temperature based fuel enrichment. The manual now covers how EGT protection works, how enrichment helps stabilize combustion temperatures, and how it prevents lambda sensor instability and fallback fueling behavior.
β’ *Fan Control System*
Expanded cooling system explanation including thermostat behavior, small coolant circuit operation, dual electric fan logic, and airflow influence based on vehicle speed and ambient temperature.
β’ *Anti-Lag, Rolling Anti-Lag & Launch Control*
Added complete overview of boost-building systems including their real ECU behavior, activation logic, and tuning recommendations. The manual now explains how AFR enrichment and ignition retard influence turbo spool, boost response, and thermal load.
β’ *Road Dyno Tool*
New section explaining how to perform on-road power measurements, how to read power and torque graphs, and how to use dyno data for tuning comparison. Also includes information about the separately available Dyno Room map and Standalone Dyno application.
β’ *Datalogger System*
Major new diagnostic section describing how to analyze ECU data over time. Includes explanation of all logged engine parameters, ECU state indicators, and datalogger controls. The manual now also covers how logs can be used to identify hardware limitations such as fuel pump capacity, injector sizing limits, intercooler efficiency, and temperature related performance issues.

Iβve started working on the official user manual for ECU Tuner Pro, designed to explain every system, map, and feature in a clear and logical way β even for users who are new to ECU tuning.
This is not dry documentation. The goal is to create a practical manual that explains:
what each system does,
why it exists,
how to use it correctly,
and what happens when itβs set up wrong.
Right now, completed sections include:
AFR & EGO system (open/closed loop, failsafe logic),
Ignition timing corrections,
Presets (Normal / Sport / Overboost),
Legacy Diagnostic Port (pre-OBD style diagnostics),
OBD button (modern diagnostics),
IAT & Charge Temperature maps (including real physics behind them).
The manual is being written in parallel with ECU Tuner development, so everything is 100% aligned with how the system actually behaves in-game β no generic theory, only real ECU logic.
When finished, it will be:
complete,
logically structured,
beginner friendly,
and still useful for advanced tuners.
If youβve ever wondered why the ECU behaves the way it does, this manual is being written exactly for that reason.
Work in progress, but going strong πͺ
