S K Y 1.9.1 - Freedom

Notice that this is not update 1.91, but 1.9.1. This marks the beginning of a new update series leading up to 2.0.

It has been a quiet year for both Pure and S K Y, especially in the second half of 2025, with little to no major additions to Pure.

I am left with nothing new to experiment with, since I’m extremely happy with S K Y 1.9 as it is. Your feedback matters now more than ever so if there’s any feature you’d like to see in S K Y, let me know!

New Depth of Field

DOF is something I’ve wanted to integrate for a very long time, well over a year at this point. The goal was to have auto-focus in first person whenever you look at your car, and it’s a really cool feature. Right now, it just works! It’s been tested thoroughly, but yes FPS will unfortunately drop quite heavily on large maps, especially on Shutoko.
There’s still some optimization work to be done.

More Freedom

Presets are cool and all, but what about doing whatever the f you want?
That’s the entire point of S K Y.

Removing and locking glare-shape options went against that philosophy, so now you can do whatever the f you want with the glare options. I’ve also added easier access to vignetting, chromatic aberration, and more.

More Updates Coming

This long break has allowed me to focus on other projects. I won’t say much yet, but buckle up for 2026, it’s going to be spicy.
