Pathways wind through thick forest amidst a rocky mountainside. Climbing towards the top of the area reveals an old, simple shrine built up against a massive, dead tree. Various rituals are performed here by reclusive druids and the occasional curious wizard. Despite its quiet appearance, terrifying

This mountainside is constantly frigid, as subzero winds are funneled through the gorge. This has frozen the river solid and blown away much of the snow on the lower parts of the mountain, but even the wind is no match for the cold near the peak. This is a great map for an ambush or a rescue mission

This slow, shallow, meandering river stretches across a sparse section of woods. An excellent place to set up camp can just as easily become a deadly ambush as enemies strike from the nearby high ground, or maybe even quietly dropping down from the trees in the middle of the night. Or maybe this is

A long time ago a road was going to be built through this section of woods, that is until a sinkhole opened up under most of the construction crew, swallowing them alive. People stayed away from that point on. Many, many years later, the whole thing has filled up with water from a nearby river. ----

This quiet little section of the woods opens up to the sky, providing some much needed space from the claustrophobic confines of the forest. This is a fantastic place to set up camp, giving a wide field of view and plenty of chances to detect incoming threats. When first discovering this area it's i

Here are your Files for this creation! An encounter near a river crossing. What happened here? An encounter near a river crossing. What happened here? Did the party come upon this ambush site after the fact? Were they themselves ambushed as they took their cart across the river? Or perhaps they were

This unassuming patch of woods is either quickly or slowly filled with water, transforming into a lake for a time being before draining back down. Perhaps the party passed through here a few days ago when the water was all but gone, but now as they return, they're greeted with a massive lake instead

This series of caverns can be used most easily as a dramatic escape from a dungeon or cavern of some kind, pitting the party against time as they try to escape the rocks rapidly crashing down on them. Or perhaps the party needs to find the treasure hidden halfway into the caves, retrieving it and es

This patch of woods brushes up against the coast where the waves gently lap at the beach while salty air wanders through the trees. Small rivers rush through and let out into the sea. Sparse trees and open spaces make this a wonderful place to set up camp. -------------------------------------------

A nearby river has mostly dried up, causing the town to look for adventurers to go and investigate. Upon getting deeper into the woods, the cause becomes apparent; some beavers have taken up residence here. This particular pond looks like a secondary pond as it's fairly small, but it's still holding
