I accidentally read this again while in a meeting and could not keep a straight face on camera.

Now that you mention the lips i went back and looked at yesterdays post. I realized why it bugged me. Some how the lips male her face seem like a steven universe character.

I KNEW IT! This whole time I was like "She's doing that to hide her accent!" I knew because I used to do the same damn thing!

Faye did attempt to hide her spontaneous reaction to Bubbles, so she should get some credit for taking into consideration Bubbles’… self-consciousness when it comes to her expression.

I could not love these two more if I tried. And then you go and do this, dammit.

One could say that Faye is developing an oral fixation with bubbles. :3

The use of "wicked" made me read Bubbles' "casual" line with a heavy Boston accent and I kind of love that lmao

It's monday morning here and this was about the first thing I saw when checking my emails. It has been a while since I died laughing on a monday morning before I even had my coffee. Thanks for that. I though the lips were good. They seemed to add dimension to Bubble's face. Maybe workshop them a bit more and try again later?

I hadn't noticed the added lips for Bubbles, but her face seemed narrower and cutesy to me. I prefer the regular Bubbles; to me she retains the bulky power look of her military function, which I think is an appropriate reminder to us of her traumatic history. [I forget - is that still a traumatic memory for her, or was it wiped from her memory?]

I'm assuming dropped voice in this context is just less volume, but I am also now imagining Bubbles as dropping down to a bass voice for a couple words

Faye looked normal with lips, she kinda looks weird without them. Bubbles looks normal without them imho. Maybe the robot gals shouldn't have the lips? I can't imagine Roko or Yay to have them tbh

Bubbles puts a lot of thought into how she speaks, huh? Possibly because she already worries about seeming intimidating and how so often that's been her experience with people and she feels the need to carefully choose her words. You are a regular-ass-person, Bubbles! You can speak however you want, you don't always have to worry/be on guard about that. Just be yourself, especially when you're around people you know and love. It's been my experience that new words, sayings, etc..are added to your personal lexicon over time and through experiences both individually and shared.

I absolutely love the throwback and explanation for Faye's old style of talking, since that's a change that bothered me for ages. Also this might be my favourite Bubbles scene of all time, I cracked up.

Over the years, I have grown to love these characters. I see bits of myself and people i know. I am especially in love with the ways people have evolved. Thank you for this.

I think Faye looked fine with lips, but Bubbles was very jarring. Also, please more of Faye swearing and using slang. Hopefully she saves it for opportune moments.
