Considering some of the bosses I've had, I think a gargantuan glob of goop who is forced to excrete avatars in order to interact with humans would've been preferable.
Some are born bosses, some have boss thrust upon them.

Marten's had two bosses, that we've seen in-comic, and both were pretty cool. His previous job sucked, but he seemed to get along with the people he worked with.

Yes. Click on Jeph's name to go to his specfic page. Click on "Home" if you aren't there already. There is a drop down box "Month" which lets you pick the month and year. This gives you all the posts for that month. If you don't know the date but know the comic number, pick a month and see what number is at the top. Then pick another month until you are close, and then scroll down. This is how I do it on a WinPC with Firefox. Don't know about any mobile interfaces.
